Hi everybody,
Wondering if anyone know how can I make Picasa Integration on my Atrix?
I was badly surprised not to see that out of the box. Not what you expect to see from Motorola.
Thanks

If you set up a picasa account you will be able to upload to a picasa album (menu --> settings --> accounts --> add account).
You can also google "nexus one gallery apk" and you should be able to easily find the apk for this app. You will need to either root your phone or use sideload wonder machine to install. Once installed it will show all of your albums in picasa.
I just found the answer to this. Look on the Market for an app called (not surprisingly) "Gallery" with the normal Froyo Gallery icon.
As soon as you install it it will ask to use your Picasa credentials to connect to Picasa and voila - you now have local and Picasa pictures in your 3D Gallery just like native Froyo.
Hope this helps.
Thanks, upload action worked but still no Picasa integration in photo gallery.
Wrote a complain to Motorola still waiting for respond.
Thanks

Yeah, but this one is definitely better......
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.cooliris.media&feature=search_result
uses the Cooliris skin that the Captivate had and works great to display Picasa galleries - just looked this up earlier because I wondered where my Picasa folders went on the gallery EVEN THOUGH the stupid Moto Blur account listings has my Picasa account sync'd! FOR WHAT if you're not going to display the folders in the gallery???
If this thread is in a wrong location, I apologize.
I am an EVO and Jetstream owner. The Jetstream is my new sole web device. I'm looking for a way to easily sync the pictures between both devices to a cloud service. This would really eliminate the need to transfer pictures from one SD to the other.
I know Photobucket has this option, but I was hoping google Picasa offered it. Or Flickr?anyone have this already set up and functioning?
You can use Picassa, it will sync with all devices using the same account.
Is there a specific Picasa app? There are a few available. HTC has a Picasa plug in for the gallery app under HTC hub, but I didn't see any upload options. I'll look again.

Been working on this for a few days now....
I'm still having difficulty finding out exactly how to sync a gallery and Picasa. I tried photosync which is found on the market and is a nice app, but it that keeps it from successfully syncing for me.
You say you can sync with Picasa... How? What method? My gallery in htc has no such option and I don't see any other apps besides throne I mentioned that does this.
Can you tell me your method?
I appreciate it.
Try google+ its tie into type picassa account and when you take pictures it auto sync rip picassa.
I found out by accident cause I was taken pictures on the phone and for some reason all these pictures showed up on my tablet picassa album. I tracked it down to google+

Well, that solves only half the problem.
Using google plus does sync my library to Picasa, but but it does not sync backwards. Meaning, if I add a picture to Picasa, it doesn't come back down to my Jetstream. Because of this, it doesn't sync my two devices.
Here is what I have tried so far:
1. Google+, works but only one way sync.
2. Froyo gallery 3d apk, gives the option to sync Picasa web albums in settings> accounts & sync > Gmail, but I couldn't get it to sync.
3. Photosync app from the market, worked perfectly but for some reason will only sync 14 photos Lolol?
At this point, idk.
If anyone else comes along with a method, Let me know. Ill be lurking.

On my SGS2 with ICS, I use Android's built in sync from Accounts and Sync, there are two options which seems like they do the same thing: Sync google photos; sync picasa web albums. May you guys know different, see attached.
I use ICS Gallery app to browse my synced photos, and at some point, after a system reset, a strange folder appeared and I can't get rid of it: Scrapbook photos. It doesn't have anything inside and I can't delete it.

Use FolderSync app on both devices. It offers two-way sync between local-remote folder pair (sub-folder is supported). As a remote service, you can use Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, FTP etc with it.
Best of all: It supports filter which means you can use it to hunt down jpg files from entire sdcard too.
Yeah, try Google+ it has unlimited space for pics(I think) and it syncs with the gallery.
Just use Dropbox the more effective way to access pictures from any device.

Google for Sugarsync. It should solve all Your problem. It is specially designed cloud storage for pics&videos (however You can also upload other files). I remember it had about 3GB (not quite sure)

Yeah, but there are just 2 Gb free unless you have S III or you trick Dropbox.
or if you don't want to use any cloud based service:
a simple Python script using ADB Pull and Push

You can go upto 12GB just by inviting your friends.
Hey,
i uploaded all my photos to picasa webalbums. they show up in the android 4 gallery as well, thats fine. but also there are many "albums" named just like "6/5/12" with one or two photos i shared on this day on google+. can i get rid of them without deleting them? maybe combining all those google+-share-albums into one? they wont show up on picasaweb.google.com :/
cheers, olli
Is it only me or ...
With "Sync Google Photos" and Sync Picassa Web Albums" activated I still cant sync my camera pictures with google+....
And the only way to make it work is to install Google+ app but then you can see picture twice in Gallery ... (one under camera pictures and the other under Instant upload folder....)
Help would be really appreciated....
What I did so far :
reset phone settings,
wipe dalvik
tried to sync with another account
tried over wifi
Sync report ok.... I have no clue !!!!
Thats how mine is. I just delete the camera photos after they sync.
Google + just uses the instant upload to put them in your private web folder. Having the sync enabled allows the phone to download those photos from your web albums and allows you to manually upload when you want. I dont think its for auto uploading like google +

So basically you mean that there is no way to sync camera photos without using Google+ app ?
I thought I could with my previous Galaxy Note... I dont understand what the "Sync Google photo" is for then....

As far as I know, not automatically. You can always go to the gallery, hold the camera folder and sync the whole album manually to wherever you want.
the link is broken on the google support site, but it use to read this:
Android 4.0 devices have a system setting that allows you to Sync Google Photos.
This setting enables syncing of your Google Photos from your web albums to your device's Gallery app. As a result, if you have a large number of photos in your web albums that have been uploaded through Picasa Web Albums or Google+, you may notice a high amount of battery or data usage during this sync.
This setting also enables or disables sync for Instant Uploads to Google+. However, to enable Instant Upload, you must enable Sync Google Photos as well as enable Instant Upload within the Google+ app

I am having trouble with background data usage from the 'Gallery' app. I think it is related to videos uploading when I'm off of wifi. In settings / accounts / gmail - I had instant upload on, and then in G+ I had to sync photos and videos only when on wifi and only when charging, but it's still using network data to background sync... and I have droidwall installed and 'gallery' is not one of the apps I white listed for network data.
Any ideas? for now I turned off background data since it didn't seem to affect any regular use of the phone and it does block the gallery app. Seems like there are quite a few options in the gmail accounts as far as photos go so not sure what they all do or what I should bother with. I do know that on my SGS, SGS2 this background usage wasn't happening and I had things setup then like I do now.
Hi all,
Yesterday, I was updating the picture of around 15-20 of my main contacts. I did that from the web interface of Gmail. It took a long hour to select the pictures from my computer and add them all from this not-very-friendly web interface.
Once finished, I ran to take my new Nexus 4 and I was pleased to see all those 15-20 contacts updated with a decent resolution version of the picture.
But the second surprise was not so good at all: when I enter in the Gallery of the Nexus 4, I realize that for each picture that I upload from Gmail, an album in Picasa was automatically created and therefore, in the Android Gallery I had 15-20 new albums with one pic each... Thanks Lord that I decided not to update the pictures of the 178 contacts that I have in Gmail account...
REALLY Google??... Is this really necessary?
Do you really need to generate one Picasa album with one (and only one) picture in it for each contact that you decide to update the picture of?... C’mon, if you want to force me to use your Picasa service, what about to generate ONE and only one Picasa album named “contact pictures” and place inside of it all the contact pictures that you upload from Gmail?
Needless to say that I have already deleted all those 15-20 albums from the Picasa web interface because that was the only way to make them disappear from my Nexus 4 Gallery…
Am I missing something or this is, by far, the most stupid thing that Google has implemented recently?
Cheers.
PS: apologies for my poor English.
