Anyone have or know where to get a stand or a case for our gear fits? I don't wanna just lay it down when I'm charging it incase it gets scratched somehow
good
Maybe a little late, but I ordered a clear acrylic bracelet watch display holder stand from AliExpress. It costs almost nothing and probably will hold my Gear Fit.

hi i want some suggestions to buy a case in which i can fit the cingualr 8525 with the extended battery ?
seems like no one here is using the phone with extended battery and putting it in the case
I'm wondering the same thing!
there's a reverse clip holder in the case recommendations thread, it's not a complete case though as it only covers the front portion of the phone. would prefer a better solution though.
No
Your best bet would be to get this:
http://www.boxwave.com/products/activecase/active-case-cingular-8525_2110.htm
Use the top piece to protect your phone and for the bottom piece, you could color the deminsions with a marker on the case, then use a coat hanger, hold it under a fire (such as on a gas stove) until its red hot, then burn through the case and follow the lines you made through, until the panel is off, allowing the battery to poke out through the case. It would be risky, take alot of time but its worth it. If you want you can test it with this case, but I dont recommend this case at all, its cheap and its belt holster is garbage:

Sonic I just received the $4.99 black case. I will try your method now. Thanks.
Hehehe I messed up the case. For some odd reason the bottom piece won't lock into the cell phone. I'm going to look for a silicone black skin so I would just cut out the piece with a knife or something...

Yea, but don't you find the rubber impeads the sliding keyboard? I have the rubber too but i don't use it because of that.

Nope I haven't had that problem. Only thing problem I got so far is that the front cover comes often.
Did anybody here buy the holster from the tmobile store that they have that the g1 supposedbly fits in?
its around 24$ i think.
It was closed by sort of 2 clip things.
i'm primarily looking for a horizntal belt holster...
any ideas?
i have the body glove, it is in that price range. love it if thats what your asking
Theres a magnetic one, that fits a sidekick, it's what i use.
Body Glove
I have the Body Glove also and it's great. Perfect for the person (like me) who is rough on phones. And it looks good too.
I purchased the crystal gel case from boxwave It covers the G1 completely and offers excellent protection for when you drop the phone. I also bought the niteize side belt case. It clips on your belt and the elastic allows it to expand enough for the phone with the gel case on it to fit. This case closes with velcro so there are no magnets to create problems.
I got the one from the T-Mobile store last week but it's not the up and down one. But I have to admit was worth the money (even though I didn't end up paying for it love the gf) The one I got sits sideways but very nice and fits the phone well. Was a little snug at first but about 2 days later the phone just slides in to the case very nice.

I talked to a TMO rep at the store and said no accessories for G1 should have any magnets due to the compass feature. He advised that if you are going to use an aftermarket case, to make sure it doesn't have any magnets. The case TMO sells are magnet free for the G1.
As for the holster, I have it and though it fits the phone snug, be careful as the screen is facing out so make sure you have a screen protector.
I just bought my G1 last 2 weekends ago with a tmobile store belt clip, fits perfectly, sturdy rotating clip for horizontal or vertical placement, gets annoying having to take it out to text or open keyboard but otherwise perfect...24$
the pleather tmo horizontal case with attached clip. it's soft but not screen friendly soft on the inside so the screen protector is a must. great product though.
One warning. If you have a tendency to forget to snap the buttons, make sure you're using a hard or jelly shell to make the phone fit snugly. the basic stretchy straps on the sides are just barely too long to make the phone 100% secure IMHO without it.
i personally like this one.
http://www.fommy.com/view-full-page.asp?divid=T-Mobile&model=T-Mobile+G1&cat=Cases&skuno=82922
you can use it with the screen either facing out for in for screen protection.
I bought this one by Seidio. I had one just like it for my Blackberry 8820 and loved it. I love this one too.

Buy a bodyglove that has a belt clip for your g1 phone. You won't need to buy a suction cup or dash holder for your g1.
I clip it to my rear view mirror after pushing back the rear view mirror tab. Then I close the tab. Stays in place and very sturdy. It's even easier to see since it is under the rear view mirror and safer too!
I also can use the belt clip to hang the phone off my laptop. I don't clip it, just use the space between the glove and clip to hang it.
Also, the rubbery glove protects your phone if you drop it.
I ordered my Lumia 920 on Friday and it should arrive sometime this week but what I'm currently desperately looking for is a suitable case with a belt clip.
I already went through eBay.com, eBay.co.uk, eBay.de (Germany) and I also tried to find one through Google but all the cases I found either are
-vertical
-have no belt clip
or
-have no cut-out for the headphone plug
I already had vertical belt cases for my current phone (HTC HD2/Leo) before and they always got in the way when I sat down so those sort of cases are not really for me. And as I want to use the Lumia a lot for listening to music a case which won't let me connect the headphones while the phone is in it won't do it either.
So if anyone knows a case that would suit my needs/wishes I would appreciate that a lot
thx
karlmueller

thx but I already came across that one too but unfortunately it lacks a cut-out for the headphone jack
EASECASE is the best for customization
I have had great experience with the EASECASE store on ebay (sry for broken links, still under 10 posts.....):
stores.ebay.com/EASECASE/Lumia-920-/_i.html?_fsub=5875330018&_sid=149381558&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322
I customized an AT&T Tilt 2 case 2 years ago and used it up until last Friday when the 920 came out. No issues like leather fraying off the belt clip, expanding over time due to use or stitching coming undone. I think you can get them to either put a hole for the headphone jack in the side you think you will have the top of the phone against when you carry it horizontally, or lower that same side so that the wall of the case is only half the height of the side the bottom of the phone will be against. I saw some old pictures once where someone wanted to charge the phone while inside the case and they cut one wall in half and finished the edges to match the rest of the case stitching.
Here is the customization page of the case I have for my Tilt 2 but for the Lumia 920: stores.ebay.com/easecase/pages/D1
I used BU Cowhide Black for the case exterior, Black microfiber interior, 2 hidden magnets for the closure and Belt Clip style 02. Pretty awesome to hold and the clip is wide enough so the strain of attaching it to your pocket, belt, bag strap etc.....didn't force the metal to start poking through the leather because it was divided along a longer surface than Belt Clip 01.
I also got them to monogram it using my Quake 3 tag even though it was longer than the maximum character length they specify. Nothing but good to say about them. Downside? They hand make to order and ship from China, so you will wait like 3-6 weeks. Upside? Best case of its kind for the money.
If you want a picture of my old case just ask.

Thanks for the suggestion
Unfortunately they are quite expensive (50 $ is A LOT of cash for a phone case IMO)
Glad to help. I also firmly believe that you get what you pay for and that buying once is better than buying multiple times because the case wears out. Also, most of the leather cases out there are quite flimsy compared to this one and very few are enclosed at the corners. This means that when you drop your phone, it may be protected from the impact but the corners will still get damaged. That was one of the deciding factors for me personally besides the belt clip style. Good luck with your search and let us know what you pick.
To start off, let me explain my situation. I originally purchased the Spigen SAV to add protection and Sview to my note. It lasted about 3 weeks and the screen clips broke (the part that holds the top door to the hinge). Called Spigen and they said I would get a one time replacement and keep the broken window. Received the new window. 4 weeks later, the hinge broke (the part that connects the hinge to the bottom of the case). I'm not paying another dime for such a glaring issue with their case.
Since the SAV was not going to do what I wanted (no slim view since the window broke off 2x), I decided to think about what I really wanted on the phone. I ended up getting a wireless back (I had bought a charger for $10) and will be purchasing a bumper case. I really like the cheap one that latches instead of using screws. I wil also be putting a tempered glass screen on. My wife bought a tempered glass from AT&T for $40 and they installed it for free. She has a Sprint S5.
Summary of above:
Spigen SAV is a crap case. Getting wireless charging back, bumper case, tempered glass.
Here is where I need help: I want to add sview option to the setup. Since I am no longer using the back for the sview, I am using the xposed mod which allows a magnet to turn it on. I would like to figure out if it is possible to use a small piece of metal between the phone and the bumper that I can put a hinge on to attach either a magnet or one of the windows I have left over. In the event that it is not possible to fit a small piece of metal between the 2, is there some way I can get sview working without spending any more money on a case and without having to "hold" a magnet to the screen every time I want sview?
Thanks for any help
Just got my cover in the mail today. Unfortunately it leaves a bit gap at the bottom where the USB port is. Anyone else got this cover and have the same issue? Also the buttons are a bit stiff.

Yes, mine is pretty similar.
I can live with it, it is quite a decent case for the cash and I like the stiffer buttons as they help to prevent 'pocket presses'

Ah! OK that's interesting to know. My main concern was it being a weak point during a drop (like if something hitting it square on the front edge). It's a shame it's not just a little more snug fitting as it would be perfect otherwise. The main reason I got this case instead of a standard TPU is so I can put the metal plate for my magnetic car phone holder behind the plastic back which works really well. I do notice when putting the USB cable in the phone can shift slightly up and down in the rubber housing. It's just a fraction longer than it should be. I have also ordered the Brotect screen protector after trying some other brand that is absolute carp! I am waiting on a refund for those (ordered 3 of them in case I messed up the first). I also have an issue with garbled voice on calls but not sure if that is down to my network or not yet.
Also the lack of accessories is rather depressing.
But that's what happens when you don't follow the iPhone/Samsung crowd.
Fun and games eh?

Good idea for the use of the removeable plate.
Yes, bit disappointing about accessories - but the phone is great.
I have a Nillkin hardcase and a Nillkin flip case too - both really good and much slimmer fit than the J&D, but they offer less protection, so I will stick with J&D for now
I have the Incipio version of that case style, it fits great.

How thick does this make the phone
