[Q] Micromax A 110 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

From a month, there is a problem with the phone of getting switched off automatically. For twice it was vibrating and stuck, so i had to remove the battery and then everything was okay.
Now the phone rarely gets off by his own from last one week, however it encountered a new problem today. The screen shakes and fades, this happened today twice.
Please advise.
Thank you

I have already used a Micromax device. I have also faced some problem like this. As you said your screen is getting fed, so it seems to me it’s a software problem. So contact with service center.

x10 won't switch on

Hi,
I've just joined after getting linked to this site. Seems like a huge site with plenty of info but unfortunately after a few searches I haven't been able to figure out my problem.
I recently followed a guide on here for replacing the digitizer on my xperia x10 and I followed it to the letter. After re-assembling the phone it refuses to switch on and there is no response when I connect the charger.
A little history.....
The problem started when I dropped the phone in water. I know I have been told that it would never be right again etc etc but I did everything I could to dry the phone and for a couple of months after the incident the phone would switch on and display perfectly and the buttons would work fine also. The only problem was that the touch wouldn't work rendering the phone useless as I couldn't even unlock the screen.
Anyway, every now and again I would switch the phone on again to cHeck if it had made a miraculous recovery but no joy. After asking some questions I decided to replace the screen/digitizer. I remember the last time I tried switching the phone on a few days before taking it apart it wouldn't switch on. It simply gave out a few flashes from the LED. I put this down to the battery being dead and carried on replacing the digitizer.
The only response I get from the phone now is when the charger is connected to my laptop and I remove the battery, the LED gives out a red flash every 2-3 seconds. Although this doesn't happen all the time. Most of the time I get nothing at all. I must add that I did charge the phone at least once or twice successfully after the water incedent so something else must be causing this.
I have heard of issue with these phones not charging but I don't see why this would happen to mine if it wasn't even being used. The phone was only a month or two old when damaged.
Sorry for the long winded introduction and if anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate hearing them.
Thanks,
Gav.
anyone had any similar problems to this before?
I know this is an old thread, BUT my X10 won't switch on either now :/ not dropped it ever and ive never got it wet, i turned it off due to it being laggy and unresponsive and now it won't turn on :/ no ROM's not rooted just stock anyone have a fix ? and no i have tried putting it in the computer for the SEUS to fix it but nothing unresponsive

[Q] xperia x10i 2.1 vibrating problem

hello, my x0i acting strange since yesterday. i had to reinstall software due to some reason, now i rooted it again, installed link2sd again and restored all my apps and data then relinked them to sd card, cleaned the second partition and all. for few hours all went well untill recently i was playing pool break which is ofcourse linked to sd card. suddenly my phone froze and went blank giving a bit longer vibrating note and restarted. after then out of curiosity i turned of my phone and then when i turned on it gives a longer vibration than usual short one and takes long time to boot. any specific reasons. i m feeling awkward with this problem. help will be appreciated.
Vibration not working in X10
Hi I too face the same problem. Vibration not working after 2.1 update with Build (2.0.49) something i can't remember. At that time my handset display getting heated up and battery drains very soon and after that I again updated to 2.1 build 2.1.a.0,, my handset vibrator stopped work.
When contacted the customer service they told would be charging Rs. 2500
But I worried that this handset is brand new and not even 2months old.

[Q] Random Rebooting and Overheating X10

I had bought my xperia sometime around October'10 & updated it to 2.1 when it was available & then started facing this problem. The battery gets overheated, specially when charging, & when any activity is performed on the phone then, the phone goes into a loop of rebooting, stabilizing only when the battery cools off. Not only that, when on the move, apps like maps is initiated, the phone often reboots, so much so that it sometimes happens 4/5 times in a day, 2/3 times together. Since yesterday, the phone rebooted more than 10 times, twice with a sudden jarring sound while closing down. Also sometimes there is a burning rubber smell coming from the back of the battery. I have tried everything from reinstalling the android software to sending it off to a repair centre only for them to say that it is liquid damage when I know for a fact that no liquid has EVER touched it. Please someone help me. What do I do? Would downloading a custom rom or Zzdizus ne wcustom kernel help. Anyone got any working fixes
It sounds to me like a hardware problem, since you've reinstalled the firmware.
Why not, try zdzihus' beta 4 or wolfs' CM6.1.3 to see if it will be the same. But if it's the same, then you'll need a service.
I've had this problem too. I sent it to the repair center too (KPN Netherlands). But after 3 times to the repair center the problem still occurred. After the third repair I received a new X10 (with 2.1 pre-installed).
So I'm afraid there's no quick (software) fix. It's definitely a hardware problem and there's many people reporting this problem. Some get it fixed by having the motherboard swapped, some got a new phone, like me. I hope you still have warranty and manage to convince them is't not liquid-damage, because otherwise you're probably screwed.
I have this problem too, i don't think a rom upgrade will fix this, reading at different threads i am not alone with this problem, please read this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831658
I am going to get mine in for repair see if they can fix it, otherwise i am screwed.
Chances are services won`t be able to find the reason, and odds are good they will just hand you a new device.
Is there anyway whatsoever to stop the rebooting without paying for repair and without sending it to a repair centre (they keeps saying its liquid damage when I know its not). There must be something because this problem didnt occur when the phone was on Android 1.6 at all.
its not a case of roms or 1.6 vs 2.1 etc this is a problem which looking at the SE forums they know about however are not doing anything about
its a problem with the motherboard in about 1/5 xperias from what i read so not everyone will be affected but for those who are (tell tale sign being a burning smell when the battery is removed combined with random reboots) then the unit has to be sent back to SE for re-fit / replace.
however, and this is where the worst problems are, from what i read if the white sticker behind your back cover had red dots on (yes i know most peoples will just from natural humidity) but this is the water damage sticker and they wont fix it for free if this is marked (red dots)
also you need to have all the proof of ownership / warranty receipt to send off with it, so if your like me and got your xperia off of ebay they your screwed
sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this is the problem, if you have it its hard to get fixed and if you dont then good for you but the likelyhood of you getting the problem is not too slim not to think of taking out insurance
There must be something I can do though. The phone only started overheating when I updated to stock 2.1 so there must be something
This definitely sounds like the mobo problem that's been plaguing the x10. Sadly to say, there is no fix you can easily do without switching out the motherboard. I feel like the watermark sets itself off when the device overheats. Same thing happened to me, and I bought my first x10 overseas so I had no warranty. Your update to 2.1 probably just coincided with the issue starting.

What if I get zzhidzu's new custom kernel. It undervolts. Would this sstop or at least reduce the battery overheating problem
Please some expert respond
Because you're undervolting, it will probably not overheat as much, but it definitely will not solve the problem. The motherboard is already compromised. At first, my faulty x10 would only reboot once every few days, but as time went on, it became more and more frequent. Now, I can't even get it to boot past the carrier splash screen. Swap kernels for now, but plan to start saving money either for repairs or a replacement phone.

Does anyone have any fix whatsoever?
any at all? to at least significantly reduce the rebooting
If you boot your phone without a sim does it still happpen?
its defonatly worth a shot i recon ill give it a go also
Is there anyway I could maybe replace the motherboard myself or even do something to my phone to stop it from rebooting because of the battery? This way when I feel that its hot I can turn it off myself when I am ready.
There must be something I can do. The phone is literally unusable :'(
@Omega Red
It still happens but not really as much. But what's the point of having a ohine if you cant call lol
I have just switched back to stock 2.1 and my phone is behaving very well now.
Does anyone know how much it costs to get the moboreplaced outside of the warranty in UK pounds?

Help With Galaxy S2 Problem - Problem with all galaxy s2s?

Hi well my phone randomly did this earlyer.
Got home, started making the sound when you plug the charger in constantly, even when the charge was plugged in and taken out again.
Turned it off to restart it and then a battery sign appeared on the screen alternating with a flashing tempreture sign and a warning triangle.
My phone wouldn't turn on again. Took the battery out again and then all my phone would do is put a circle sign on the srceen then a battery, still wouldn't turn on.
My phone randomly turned on 10 minutes later. But still made the battery sound just nowhere near as often.
Phoned orange up to get a replacement, and she told me she would arrange one the next day, she then said there was a problem with replacing them as there is a problem with all galaxy s2's.. or theres a problem with all the galaxy s2 replacements, one of the two.
So..what could be the problem with mine? and is it common?

Samsung just fixed mine for this same problem. Its a problem with the USB host. Basically bit of dust or moisture gets inside the charging port. They will fix it if you take it for repair, or you can do it yourself, if you search on this board you'll find out how.
Mine has now broke a 2nd time though since getting it back a week ago, as mine now wont turn on at all...
These phone makers should give up, or maybe i'm just unlucky.
Never seen this issue on my S2 which I have been using since August last year. I can't see the replacement having the same issue. Fingers crossed.

Its a very common problem. All over the web.
Ah I'm glad about that, this is my second galaxy s2 and I only got it in like September last year, so thought she wasn't going to give me a replacement then lol. I swear these are poor build quality... my last one had poor problems such as the screen not being level (Glass sticking up at left side) and problems like that which is just poor lol. Love the phone however...
Build quality seems to be very poor of these phones, which is ashame, because the phone itself is really really good. Like I say common problem, they will fix it.
Ah cheers, will try to go through Orange when they phone me back tomorrow as I dropped mine a while ago and it's got a rough bit on the corner so I'd prefer a nice new one
My build quality is fine and few users report your problems out of the millions sold .
Dust or moisture in any USB port can cause problems .

Mine started doing the same after less than a month, would make the charge dis-charge sound constantly and I couldn't turn the phone off as it would turn back on.
cleaning out the charging port temporary fixed the problem, but after a few weeks it started happening again.
I brought my phone on 12 Nov 2011 and I returned it to Amazon UK on 23rd January 2012 using Amazons extended return policy around the Christmas period.
I have had the replacement for getting on 3weeks now and this phone has been okay and I have noticed that the battery life is quite a bit better than the other one was.
I did contact samsung before returning it to Amazon but got a useless reply.

Parts of screen not responding to touch and other issues with screen and battery

Hi, about 2 weeks ago my phone began to run into some rather odd problems which I suspect are all related and may or may not be to do with water damage as these problems started soon after i was at the beach and my phone got a little wet being in my pocket.
The first problem I am having and also the most critical is that part of the touch screen (just under the notification for about 5m) will not respond to any touches. This itself is not such a big problem. However after a random amount of time from when I boot the phone up the touch input kinda "moves up". For example, I click on the dock bar and it's as if I am click halfway up the screen. This of course makes the phone unusable to a large degree and the only way I can seem to fix it is by restarting the phone, which leads to problem two.
Now problem two is that the phone will continually boot loop until I connect the phone to a power source. I can still get into the hboot etc but not much more than that.
I suspect both, or at least problem two to be due to a battery problem and so I have ordered a replacement battery but that wont be coming for a while yet.
I've also tried several different roms, wiping the cache and delvik, re flashing the boot along with several hours of googling the problem but that came up with nothing related to my issue.
So any help or input someone could give me would be great, thanks in advance.
Seems like a hardware problem to me. If you still have warranty, send it in for repair.

Yes I had the same problem too... I brought it to HTC Hong Kong (i live here) and had to pay them about 150 USD to get it replaced.. a while later it happened again and they fixed it free under the 3 month warranty. I just got it back and I really hope it doesn't happen again.
I have the same problem,What did you do at last? did the battery replacement solved your problem?!!
