need urgent help - Samsung Galaxy Mega

I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy Mega (L600) when frame to view the IMEI (* # 06 #) no baseband (L600VPUBNJ1) appears only for this reason not e able to get GSM signal.
Please someone could help me would be very grateful.

Did you try flashing a different ROM when this happened?

no friend makes unlocking the APK SSU and had the signal good for a few seconds but then no longer had signal upgrade to 4.4.2 via Odin and is still the same. I want to know if I can retrieve the IMEI again.

Does your imei show as blank or as a 0049 number?
You never made a previous efs backup?
Did you try flashing a different 4.4.2 ROM than the one your phone already had? Did you do a factory reset in the process?
I am curious of everything you have done so far
You may need to contact @cvxcvx for help. He does Samsung efs repair that works. Seen him help many.

This appears when setting * # 06 #. the phone had the version 4.1.2 and upgrade to 4.4.2 before updating but I was just thinking the IMEI update would be solved.

If you don't have an EFS backup, probably time to contact cvxcvx.pl

I have no copy. is cvxcvx.pl?

http://www.cvxcvx.pl/en/ I have seen him remotely fix multiple people's Samsung efs. I think he charges around 20 euro.
I believe he remotely logs into your device. Your device never leaves your hands from what I understand. I've seen at least 5 similar cases on the n7000 forums where he fixed it.
He is polish.
It looks like In your case its not 99% fixable like if you had a 0000 or 0049 imei. See this page as well

To me it looks like your situation is more similar to the 50% that he says.

[Q] Bought an used phone and don´t know what root.

Hi guys I am kind of new to this forum and really like all the website with so much information !
I am turning to you because because my friend wanted to buy an SGS 2 and bought one from some random guy whom he has no contact with.
The problem is now that the phone seems to be rooted because there is an yellow triangle that follows in the start up. I wonder if anyone knows how to see what kind of room is installed on the phone? I ask this because because the phone has been unlocked with the simunlock app but
the network connection is so bad, I´ve managed to make 1-2 calls to see that the phone works but i get max 1/5 bars in the connection barometer.
This made me think that maybe the root is bad performed by the guy that did flash the device from the begining.
If you guys have any kind of tweaks or ideas what to do I would really appreciate it.
I gathered some information that might help. This is taken from t he status menu in the galaxy S2.
Would it maybe help to restore everything to stock?

Sorry I choose the wrong section for my thread. Thanks to the MOD that moved it to the right one.
Root has no impact on signal strength.
But if you want to revert to stock, just download original firmware from http://sammobile.com/firmware, unpack and flash via Odin in PDA.

The ROM you use has no effect on your signal strength. The modem however, does. So you can try flashing a new modem if you're fine with the ROM besides the signal problems. ie.the UI, features offered, etc. Else you can flash your stock firmware for your region and that would solve your problem

Go to settings-wireless-mobile networks and in network mode check gsm only...if its on wcdma thats probably why u have poor signal

Thanks a lot for the answers ! I´ve already tried to switch to gsm mode, dosn´t get any better. I will try to flash to a different modem but I have a few questions. Does it matter wich modem is current on my phone before i flash to another?
And if someone could point me in the right direction about wich modem I should use for my region, I live in sweden and use a swedish sim card and operator.

No.
For Sweden I think it will be I9100XXLQ6.
If you got the phone from a totally unknown person, i would suggest to revert it back to complete stock, and then start making all the changes you want from scratch, just to be 100% safe.
I agree i´ll flash everything back to stock and start from the begining, I think it´s the best way. But 19100XXLQ6 is the modem that my phone says I have, does that mean that I´am on stock baseband?`Otherwise if someone could show me a link or something for a step to step guide of how to restore everything back to stock.
Thanks a lot for your help guys !
Look backup your efs folder before you start pissi g about with stuff.
Then go to that link and get a 4.0.3 stock firmware for your region.
Then come back here and you can be advised about like siyah kernel/nand backups/roms.

S2 Phone Sgnal Loss + IMEI Missing

Hi all,
So i have been having some problems with my s2 recently which I hope you can help me with. Phone was working fine a few months ago, then the micro usb socket failed on me. No worries, new board goes in all is well. Then a couple of weeks ago same problems again, again no worries ill put a new board in i thought!
Please with another sucessful fix I also decided to finally test out ICS so jumped on the latest nightly cyanogenmod. Anyway, since these things I am now finding my phone will just stop getting any signal. IT usually eventually comes back after many resets and battery pull outs, and when it works it works well (3g access no problems). Today it has done the same thing and now won't seem to come back, even the IMEI number is missing this time when i type *#06#....
Does anyone know if this is likely hardware or software?
Thanks all,
Ian
Not even generic imei? You dont happen to have a EFS backup?
Have you tried flashing back te original firmware you had before the problem?
Have you tried changing the modem? since it is the one that adresses the signal problem.
And if you're thinking of flashing original ICS firmware do be carefull. Mind the Brickbug.
I face the same problem, but i at least get generic imei and signal.
Please excuse the bad english.
no imei when type *#06#
No backup.
I had this problem last weekend but the imei came back just from lots of resetting. Question is is this hardware or software?

Well, if you had a backup and restored and it would have worked it we could have ruled out the hardware.
Otherwise it surpasses me. I would have an experienced forum member answer your question. I am sorry i was of no help.
Please read these. It may be of some help.

thanks for your help anyway it is much appreciated. Hopefully someone wikll be along to help me out, ideally want to keep the phone another 3 months til my contract upgrade
Without a backup you're not fixing it. Service centre if you want it done properly, or ask local mobile repair shops (which can be very 'hit & miss').
It's unlikely to be a hardware issue if the IMEI has disappeared. It's a firmware/software problem that's caused it; exactly what however, would be conjecture on anyone's part (and irrelevant anyway; knowing what caused it isn't going to help you fix it, trust me).
Edit - Given you've only got a few mths till you get a new phone & given the probable cost of repairs, I'd be bringing forward my new phone purchase.

When I used to run GB Miui (>12 mths ago, shortly after I got my phone), the IMEI would occasionally disappear immediately after boot for anything up to 30 seconds.
Why did it happen ? I'm no developer (I'm not even sure the developers of that particular rom knew), but it always showed up or after another reboot.
Essentially, if the IMEI doesn't come back after rebooting a couple of times, you're cactus.
Maybe do a clean install of stock & a reset (stay away from 4.0.4 stock). I wouldn't get my hopes up tho. First thing you do when you run non-stock firmware/root your phone is backup EFS. Always.

i rooted a couple of years ago when i got the phone, don't ever remember mention of efs and never had problems until now...
well a couple of data wipes and a reinstall of the same rom againand i have signal again...
i think this confirms it must be software related...now to backup efs.
Tell the developers of the rom you're using. Could be useful to them.
will do! any suggestions of a ICS rom that is more stable than the CM nightlys?

Lol I would say so, however you have realised it and that's a good thing. If you can already flash a rom then you can flash modem. It's exactly the same. The only reason I've mentioned it is that I run CM nightlies myself and if I use any modem other than LS8 I have the same problem.

[Q] "La'Fleur" ROM after emergency recovery with kies

Hello!
After flashing many custom ROMs and leaks my phone was acting a little funky, so I decided to go back to factory stock. I fired up kies on my pc and went to "Emergency recovery" It asked me for my serial number (I thought this was for getting the right stock firmware) After everything was done the phone booted up normally but I ended up with a "La'Fleur" boot logo
All I wanted was my stock firmware (Without having to look for the firmware, modem, etc myself) I though kies would do a better job than me :silly:
Sigh...
Any of you experienced this before?
Same problem here
Dont know how this happens...
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
Kies gives you the firmware that matches your serial number. So, your phone originally has this firmware, or an earlier version of it, i.e. your phone was branded.
If you don't like it get the latest unbranded firmware for your region from sammobile.com and flash with odin.

Well it's suposed to work like that... but my phone is the plain gray international version. That's why it's so funny to me. I created this thread to see if some other people were having this issue as well and it seems so.
Anyway, it worked for me because it restored the stock modem and cleaned the whole nand. As soon as I saw that "La'Fleur" logo, I wiped it and threw CM 10.1 at it. Working great so far.
My point is, Samsung should do better (as usual, with everything) at keeping their records.
Well, none of us know what happend. Could be the carrier originally planned to carry this model, bought it from Samsung, and later changed their mind and sold it to a third party.
Nothing to show Samsung's records are wrong.

Well, I bought mine at a retail store, unlocked and without any carrier bloatware. Just to point out "La'Fleur" is a special edition of galaxy devices featuring a special 'floral' design paint coat, that Samsung released for valentines; with ROM customization to match the design. As with mine being the plain grey version and using the 'official' method to get the stock ROM, I think I'm pretty safe to say that there's something wrong going somewhere at Samsung.
This is exactly what I was trying to avoid downloading the firmware, modem, etc and flashing it myself, getting something different than the one that came when I first took it out of the box... And this is exactly what I got using Samsung's method. LOL
Kudos at Samsung! /s

I got that too. Before you do anything to your phone, make sure yo do a Nandroid backup, also make a backup for your EFS partition as there is where your IMEI and radio paramaters are stored.
I had to send my phone to Samsung, and they replaced the motherboard.

This is why you don't let your buddies do random crap to your phone.
I don't know if you have already flashed a radio or not but you could try it, honestly I don't think it will help but it is worth a shot. I'm fairly sure you lost your EFS, your IMEI and all that good ****, and I don't think there is a way yo recover it on the Note 2 without having a nandroid backup with the EFS backed up into it. You could go the Verizon S3 forums and try their IMEI recovery method.
It's hard to diagnose what's wrong without knowing exactly what your buddy did, if he did mess phone up for good and you can't recover the EFS I would make that buddy buy me a new phone.

[Q] I9300 wrong Network

Hi I am hoping someone can help me out a bit,
I decided today to root and flash my I9300 to 4.4, I done a Titanium Backup and read everything I think I needed to.
Rooted phone successfully using Odin, so decided to look for a decent Rom to flash too. I decided on C-RoM-KK-v6.1-20140421-i9300 from this website,
everything seems to be working great, except that my Network Operator keeps swapping to TMobile instead of EE, I have checked my IMEI number to what it was originally and it hasn't changed, but even when changing networks manually to Orange (EE) it keeps changing back to TMobile.
Please if anyone has any ideas I would be grateful.
Thanks in advance.
Factory reset and flash the latest stock firmware with odin, then test.

Thanks, it's back to stock rom and working with EE (Orange) but still not sure why it would keep swapping from EE to TMobile on a 4.4 rom.
4.4 is not official so you can expect minor issues to happen.
