I am sorry if you don't like my answer as I know your device is not the same as this TWRP but you may like to port it? or compile it?
I think you need to root your device as well otherwise you may struggle.

Note this is tested on S7-931W while your post shows you are keen to get s7-932u.
If you use Linux you can download that TWRP, unpack it with imgRePackerRK
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2257331
then use Android to get info on where your recovery is and take a backup image of it
copy your stock recovery to Linux, unpack it with same tool as above, then swap in your kernel into TWRP and adjust the fstab and a few text files to match your ids
repack modified TWRP with imgRePackerRK and flash it.
making sure you have kept a backup on your removable sdcard.
good luck

[Q] help bricked a13 tablet / A1Cs Fusion

Help - I have an A1CS Fusion 5 tablet which I've managed to install CWM v6.0.3.1 but in the process of trying to install CM 10 or 9 I cannot get the tablet to boot into android, it always boots straight into the CWM recovery. This is common tablet which is identical to the Protab 2xxl which I've found a single rom image file but I'm unsure how to flash. I don't have access to a windows box to use livesuit as I hope there are equivalent Linux tools, but as a last resort I can borrow a win pc.
Within CWM I've tried to flash the CM 9 or 10 .ZIP which it claims to do successfully but it still boots into recovery. I've wiped all the data/cache/system/dalvik partitions many times before each install.
Through much fiddling I've found that I can gain adb access to the tablet whilst it is in CWM recovery mode, but I'm unsure what to do next? I've also found I can put the tablet into bootloader mode (black screen) and I'm able to read / write raw mem using rkflashtool, but I don't know how to split the single .img file or CM ROM .ZIP file into separate sections to flash each partition?
Although I'm fairly technical on Windows & Linux, I'm a newbie with Android so any help would be very welcome to avoid it becoming an expensive paper weight.
Thanks in advance
Andrew

Repacked (but untouched) recovey wont boot

Hope that sounds enough interesting to get you here
to my problem:
I have a Huawei MediaPad 10 Link+ and theres NOTHING out there for it. So i decided to make it on my own.
belive me theres no recovery or rom for this tablet.
i had a long journy so dont think this is my first problem
i dumped my boot.img, recovery.img and system.img
i used this tool to unpack my recovery modified it, repacked it and flashed it. but the recovery wont boot up. just stuck at the first mediapad logo.
Even if i NOT touch it. ( just unpack / repack )
my problem is not to restore it. i want a modifyd recovery. maybe sobody here can help me.
thanks in advance
PS: the best would be if somebody could port me CWM or TWRP
i tried to make it on my own but ubuntu says no and punchd me in the face
The Author of the tool stated, that it won't work on every device.
But if you plan to build cwm or twrp for your device, you will need ,sooner or later, linux.
So save yourself some trouble and time and install linux in a virtualbox.
It will make numerous things easier for you :good: .

[Q] Help Root, Flash recovery, and dumping stock imgs Huawei Y6 Pro TIT U-02

Good day members and Developers of XDA,
After days of googling and searching through forums and tutorials, I decided to make this thread to introduce my Delima.
I have this new Huawei y6 pro TIT U-02 which is quite different from Huawei y6 pro TIT AL00 (4G LTE). Difference in partitions and ROM images. However, I wanted to root my phone so as usual I started the easy way using renowned root apps, no luck though. Next step was to flash recovery. To port the suitable recovery I needed to dump my stock boot.img and recovery.img files out of my stock firmware. The irony is that I needed Root access in order to use the adb shell su (dd or cc). So I looked around for a way to pull my firmware images without the need of root. So I found the read back of SP Flash tool which is quite useful and great way to dump img. Yet I faced another problem that is of battery as it is not removable therefore the SP Flash tool reads my phone for short time before it starts charging and show the battery icon which disconnects the adb driver of the phone and connects another device (the phone in charging mode is detected as another device not readable by SP Flash tools). Quanciquantly, I was unable to get stock img by any means.
NOW I have my stock firmware (downloaded from Huawei site) and I want a way to extract boot.img and recovery.img. I extracted the lollipop update.zip and found a boot.img which is not that of booting the device. Ten I extracted the "system.new.dat" file and found nothing there.
All I need now is the stock boot.img and recovery.umg of my TIT U-02 or a way to dump them. I'de really appreciate any kind of help.
Sorry for long post I had to tell full story in order not to get solutions I already tried and make my issue clear.

Re:Stock or Custom ROM flashing with TWRP...

Re:Stock or Custom ROM flashing with TWRP...
Let me preface this to say that I am a "noob" when it comes to all things Android, that being said I need some helpful replies re:flashing (with Windows 7 64 bit PC or Smartphone...)a custom or stock ROM (if TWRP is to flash the image, will need a zipped ROM)to an Alcatel One Touch Fierce XP-5054N smatphone that has mysteriously lost Android 5.1.1 Lollipop after downloading, installing TWRP recovery app /) ; after installing TWRP recovery , i noticed that "TWRP" had erased my Android OS so I will need a download link (or ?) for a good Stock Alcatel 5054N ROM or custom ROM copy that is compatible with the aforementioned smartphone...
I will also need to know the best way to reflash/install Android 5.1.1 (or later android OS version)...to my Alcatel(i prefer to install via the smartphone since the smartphone has issues being recognized by any windows adb drivers(well, the smartphone shows up in windows explorer when connected to a USB 2.0 port, but any PC based flashware i've tried cannot find my smartphone!?!?)
Thanks in advance for a pertinent reply!!

How to downgrade a Rooted, Bootloader unlocked P9 Lite from Android 7 to Android 6?

Hello fellow xda members helpers and developers
I need to downgrade my Phone from Android 7 Build: C432B370 to Android 6
What do I need to make sure of in my Huawei P9 Lite Android 7 Emui 5 before following the Rollback/software upgrade procedure described in the respective Zip files.
Do I need to unroot and relock ? .. If yes which version of recovery or TWRP do I need.. if I am going to rollback.
I am a little hesitant at the moment becouse I managed to get into a bootloop yesterday by just flashing recovery_stock .
I am guessing it is becouse I unawarely flashed the wrong recovery_stock(?)
Recovery/Fastboot mode were not availiable - and then tried to flash the rollback via 3 button method.. which of course did not work.
( In case you are wondering how I managed to fix this: I let the battery drain to 0% - this broke the loop - afte the fifth try I managed to reset it with volume up + power all the way through booting)
So now I am back to square one..
Thank you
ok so I managed to fix this by myself: The problem I had was, I had a corrupted/wrong recovery on my Android 7.
So what I did was, I checked which build I excactly had .. in my case C432B370 ... downloaded the full rom. Extracted the stock recovery.img with "HuaweiUpdateExtractor" and flashed it.
Then I did the normal rollback procedure with both update.app files.
Had to unlock and root it once more... ( this time with the correct twrp) and voila it works.
So what do we learn?: dont trust simple internet guides if they not offer informations on file versions they offer ... they may not use the correct versions for your phone.
thrad can be closed or deleted
thanks for looking
