Why not just install one of the great roms here that have hotspot included along with other great features?

What rom are you referring to goat??

can we install a sprint note 2 rom (touchwiz) on the i605?

i understand that the sprint n2 data partition is different, but if we changed that mount point within the install script could we feasibly install it and it work after we flashed the config file as well? i know this is probably a dumb question, but it was one that came to my mind after venturing off into the sprint n2 forum. thanks!
Not unless you intend on using your device... I think developers can help put those features on another device, if it isn't for your model, don't flash. You'll save yourself tons of headaches.

i figured so.. damn, i was hoping it was possible by pointing the data mount in updater script to where the i605s data partition is located

Actually, I was reading up this morning about AT&T ROMs on the Verizon Note 2 and it is not only doable, but also works pretty well. When done from what I just said (Flashing AT&T to Verizon) you are obviously locked out from Verizon and 4G LTE but if you have an AT&T or any GSM SIM for that matter it will work. The only real issue is GPS not working, for some reason our devices don't like the GPS setup from any ROM's other than Verizon's.

Mike.
Some of us have not switched to att from vzw.
Gps not working happens on some unlucky T0ltevzw roms, also.
The end user doesn't want borked modems on lte.
Yes, I know it has an hspa+ modem...

same thing happens with t-mobile too. somehow there has to be a way to get the att/tmo roms working on the i605. the t0lte roms work on the i605, so why the hell won't the att/tmobile?
So can someone confirm or disagree that flash a T-Mobile or International Note2 CM ROM to the Verizon Note 2? Is a good idea if I want to completely shout off the Verizon Radios and only use GSM?

S5 Toggles

Saw this in the regular Note 3 section. Flashed it on Freeza's Stockish and NC5 ROM and it looks great! The only one not on there is the WiFi calling for obvious reasons.

I made the icon and put it in the zip but I have no idea what needs to be done to have it show up and work. I flashed it on my phone and it's not even showing in the options.

Tmobile Galaxy s5 Roms vs General Galaxy 5 Roms

So Coming from the tmobile Galaxy 4 to the tmobile Galaxy 5 my question is will the s5 be the same as the 4 can we flash Roms from the General Galaxy 5 or only tmobile Roms are compatible ??? I know WIFI Calling won't work since their roms obiously don't have that built in ?? Voice over LTE ??? We will lose this also Correct ??? Will everything else work ? calls/messages/mms/etc etc I'm more than happy with my tmobile Rom at the moment works flawlessly just trying to have this as an information Thread ? for future reference and other people that may be wondering the same thing ????
The closest Galaxy S5 to the international one is the T-Mobile version G900T(basically the same device)
It's been said here that you can flash international on this device but you have to keep T-Mobile radio for LTE in the USA.
You'll loose Wi-Fi calling and HD voice for sure because those are not on the international roms.
I hope that helps.

Yup. Any TMO specific feature will be lost unless the dev has ported it over.

[Q] URGENCY!!!! Quick question fella's!!!!

I have my T-mobile Galaxy S5 that I love, but my buddy offered me his Sprint Note 3 for $175. It's in flawless condition. Now, I can root and install a custom recovery myself. The phone is bone stock right now. Will that unlock it so I can use it on T-mobile? I'm pretty sure it will.

[Q] MIUI sprint note 3

Hi fellow xdaers I was just wondering if there was already a port of MIUI or if there was any way that someone could maybe port a version of MIUI for the sprint version of the note 3. I know there is one for the smn900 but not for the smn900p. Thanks in advanced for any responses.

Yes, well sort of. Here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-miui-v5-galaxy-note-3-t2816410
I have not tried it yet, but it says it will run on a Qualcomm device.

yeah but, its not sprint specific...
Fiddled with it a little couldn't get LTE everything else seemed good.
Well at least that's good. LTE is a must, it would be so damn awesome if someone could get it working.

The miui site has a Galaxy Note 3 LTE posted. Is it for the Sprint Note 3?
I downloaded and installed. Seems to be working.
