Hello there,
thank you for developing themer, i follow you since the first time.
It works like a charm on KK but now I am testing the new CM12 on my SGS2 and when I try to apply a theme Themer download and apply it but it is "resized" or messed up.
Anyone else is experiencing this issue? Any help?
EDIT
It seems that certain ROMS modify the original sgs2 DPI (im referring here to ResurrectionRemix ROM) and so themes are loaded broken.

Themer works best with stock DPI. If you set your DPI to stock and then clear Themer's cache and data. Should work after that.

Is it possible to change the DPI on stock or Sammy based roms rooted or is this only possible on CM9 AOSP based roms. I would like to keep a Samsung based rom for all the unique apps Samsung have developed for the S3 but I cant get away with the huge icons and DPI. CM9 based looks so much better so I am torn between the two.
DPI can be changed in the build prop on rooted roms via rom explorer .
Or in a custom rom Samsung build .

dont forget, changing the dpi in sammy roms will have the usual probs like unscaled dialer and a poor theming for camera. setting the dpi too low will crash the stock launcher, so install a secondary launcher before starting

Just tested on my S3 with stock ROM + root and it works. Just as a note, you should have a keyboard other then the standard Samsung, it keeps freezing over and over until you change it to another one.

Hi,
I tried changing /system/build.prop ro.sf.lcd_density to 260, rebooted device and nothing happened.
I am using leaked 4.2.2. I double checked and build.prop really changed.
Can anyone help me with this?

for rooted phones, flash the xposed framework.. there app settings module (i think) enables DPI settings.. (you may need to search for the module..)
I tried to set dpi to 300 and it works very well on sammy 4.3 ML2 rom. Dialer looks weird as mentioned above, but I use pixelphone app and issue is solved for me.
Hello XDA, and my question is: ''How I can set default theme on CM9?'' :good:
In CM7, I modify build.prop and set default theme trought parameters: persist.sys.themeId= & persist.sys.themePackageName=.
But, how in CM9? Doesn't appear this parameters in build.prop of CM9.
HOW!?
PD: How I can set default?... WHEN YOU INSTALL MY CM9 ROM!
Help me, please! :crying:
Thanks! Cheers!
Hey, what can you see if you go to settings, under "interface" tab, go to Themes
Provide any screenshot

No. What I mean is I am finishing up an new ICS ROM. And I want a different theme to boot into DEFAULT the first time it boots without the person to need to select it. Example: Sense4 Theme in Cyanogenmod's theme chooser. Have that one boot as default the first time after initial install of Custom ROM instead of System theme. "WHERE IS THAT SETTING LOCATED!" I Know how to choose a theme in theme chooser.

In CM7 you can choose the default theme by editing the build prop. Then when that CM7 rom is installed, that custom theme is used instead. There has to be a way in CM9 too. HELP I'm not making one for X10 but found this Post asking the same question I am asking. This answer would help alot of us Devs

FYI
I'm on a freshly rooted 8GB NT. I would like to apply a theme but don't know where to look or if it's safe with the current CM10 roms available. Has anyone tried this and got it to work?
Thank you.

Alien Droid has some themes (and a customization "store") built in.
I haven't tried to theme, but I would think as long as the theme itself is compatible it should work (not sure if it needs to be an hdpi theme or an mdpi theme, though).
Perhaps someone who has tried can chime in, though.

You can download themes from the Google play store. There are some free and some paid. Go to themes in settings and select the theme you want to apply. If it says it was improperly compiled, you will need to change our LCD density to 133 in the build.prop temporarily. Reboot then try to apply the theme again. If it says it doesn't have all the assets, select apply anyway. Your theme should be applied now, so change our LCD density back to whatever it was before and reboot. That's all I think.

Hey, I wanted to ask, anyway to set themer themes as default? Like for Rom developers, with most cm and AOSP roms we can set a theme as default so when a user flashes the rom, that theme is already set. Is this possible with themer?

You would not be able to do this as you need a code from themer for this to work so if you add themer to a rom when the user installs and boots up for the first time after install all they will see is a screen to sine up

That isn't possible at this time.
I have a thread on the Galaxy S5 forum concerning custom toggle icons and backgrounds. It came to my attention that these will work for the note II after my doing a little tweaking. Here are a few that I tweaked with the rest being in my original thread. Feel free to check this thread out and if you like something maybe I can change it to work on the Note II.
This will also change your status bar icons.
If you want to keep your stock icons but like one of the backgrounds, the background alone can be sent in a zip as well.
If anyone is stock and rooted and will give me a copy of your systemui I'll make a restore zip.

Best to make a backup first. Also it should make a backup of your systemui under vrtheme-backup on your internal SD.
I believe it will work but there is no guarantee
hi. you say we have to perform "a little tweaking". what should I do to make this work on my note 2? thank you
I did the tweaking already.
Hi Tulsadiver
These themes toggles work for me on DittoNote 5.2 - thanks
sorry. my bad
Hi, VRilski! Thanks for testing these for me.
DN4 last built, wipe cache and dalwik, install zip....nothing happened !! What's wrong?
No need to wipe anything. Just flash.
You can upload your systemui if you like and I'll take a look at it.

DN4 is based on Korean rom 4.4.4 - there is a lot of files QMG - not png.
Ah ok.. because I tried many times with different methods.
Thanks.
is this work on stock 4.4 rooted phone.

Are you asking or saying that it does? Are you 4.4.2 or 4.4.0? Do you have a custom recovery? If so, make a backup first or at least upload your systemui here so that you can restore it. It would be nice if you would upload your systemui any way so I can make a zip for restoring purposes for people that don't like the results. It should work but if it doesn't do anything I would be happy to look at your systemui to see why.
