Hello ALL,
Got a great deal on a new Galaxy S5 ACTIVE SM-G870A. Was wondering if I can root and load t-mobile roms on it.
Noob at this bootloader but can I ODIN tmobile firmware on this like baseband and that would give me an unlocked bootloader? Then free to flash whatever ROM? I am not worried about the KNOX at all.
TIA.
Bob

I am wondering if a net 10 Samsung Galaxy SII (sgh-s959g) can be unlocked for use with another carrier (t-mobile specifically)?
Would it have to be flashed with new software first?
Has anyone here done anything like this?
Thank you for any help or suggestions.
If it's not in here, then I guess you'd have to try galaxysim unlock.
You need to be rooted, of course.
Hey, thinking about getting the ATT Note for my Mom.
On my Galaxy S4 phone, the latest updates from AT&T locked the bootloader down even more. So I'd never buy another S4.
What about on the Note? I know the original did not have a locked bootloader. Well, have any of the recent updates locked the bootloader? Is there anything I need to worry about before buying a second-hand Note?
Will be wanting to flash CyanogenMOD 10.X on it.

Just wanna know, I have a Galaxy S3 SC-03E Docomo Version unlocked, if I do the official KK update will I lose my unlock? Thanks in advance.
I bought the phone used and is already unlocked, Kitkat official update pops up. Will I lose my unlock if I update? Thanks!
there's no official Kitkat update form Samsung for S3 but you can download a custom Rom from this fourm and your phone will still unlocked
When I turn on my Samsung Galaxy S4. I see a O2 screen after Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 screen. Does that mean my Phone bootloader is locked?
I am not using O2 sim card but another company's.
I have rooted TW 4.2.2 (Stock) Using Odin CF Auto root.
Also I installed CWM recovery Using an app from Play Store called "Rashr".
Looking forward for an early response.
Because I want to start using custom roms but someone said unlocked bootloader is must for that.
hey everyone, I don't post much but I read a lot and I appreciate everyone's work. I have a quick question regarding my tmobile galaxy s5. I bought it and unlocked it to use on AT&T because it has the unlocked bootloader. I installed twirp, remove some bloatware, and it's been great. I want to remove twirp but I believe that flashing the stock rom is the only option. Is this true? I have the stock image and can flash it via Odin I'm just curious as to whether it will remove the carrier unlock. of course I paid for the unlock code and I don't want to do it again. I would like to sell this phone with it being unlocked because that widens the market. so does anyone know how I can unroot this phone other than flashing the stock image, and if that's the only way after I do it will the carrier unlock still be there?

You will keep the unlock. You can easily find the stock recovery files as well. That way you don't lose all of your stuff with a full Odin flash.
