hey guys, i received a sony xperia mini pro sk17i with 4.2.1 and the bootloader can not be unlocked, how do i get root so then i can use x-parts to change the rom. thx to all.
Use impactor for windows or linux on google.It will work.U don't need unlocked bootloader for root access.
what is 4.2.1? You can use eroot to root your phone. It don't need unlock bootloader.

I bought an Xperia ray for my Wife.. its Firmware is 4.0.A.2.368... Its giving me option via PC companion and OTA that an update 4.0.2.A.0.42...

I had used my Xperia U with 6.1.1.B.1.10 with rooting done by flashtool method. Recently I had updated to 6.1.1.B.1.54 after that I am unable to Root by both Flashtool and Binary method. What could be wrong, I want my XU to be rooted

So, I have a Neo V with firmware 4.0.2.A.0.62 and the bootloader is unlocked. I want to install Cyanogenmod on the device later.
As of now, I'm not sure how to root and install CWM recovery from here. I'm really confused and I don't want to brick the phone.
