Bluetooth 4.0 BLE is hardware side, not software side. Our phone is Bluetooth v3.
I got results:
Android 5.0.2 CM 12 beta firmware for Galaxy S2 supports BLE, and works with BLE devices!
(others reported that 4.4.4 have BLE, unofficial 4.4.3 do NOT have BLE, official firmwares do NOT have BLE)

I have updated Samsung Galaxy SII with different Android version and I discover that none of them have support for NFC (near field communication) except the original ROM then I bought the phone.
Now I have Android 4.0.3 ROM I9100OXALP2 (ICS) and it does not have support for NFC, none of 2.3.6 or 2.3.6 all official ROM .
What do I have to do to have NFC support?

its a question = Q&A
ANSWER you do not use ICS its not released by Samsung and is a test rom only .
you use the rom that came with the phone or go back to the seller and see if they have an update .

Most of the roms here are for i9100 not i9100P or whatever your phone is, so they do not have NFC support as we dont have the hardware, if you want NFC support your best bet is to flash back the rom that came with your phone.
Is there any Omega 4.4 KitKat rom for i9300
If not, are they in development. I really like Omega roms for Samsung phones.
(Btw, any Samsung based 4.4 KitKat rom would be fine)
thanks in advance:cyclops:

You are free to read the development forums and choose a rom .

There are currently no 4.4 Samsung-based ROMS available.
There are CM11 variants such as Temaseks unofficial CM11 (4.4 - KitKat) that are comparable to stock/vanilla Android.
KitKat for SIII is only to be expected in March/April. Although delays should be expected (usually the case).

No, with cyanogenmod there is no way to output to a TV.
I've been looking out for some BLE enabled KITKAT Roms, and I was not able to find one, I know there are some JellyBean 4.3 Roms which have BLE enabled, does anybody know about any Kitkat Rom that has BLE enabled? or is it that there is no working implementation for the Galaxy S2 BLE hardware for Kitkat?
I was on AOSP NeatRom with Kitkat 4.4.3 and when I upgraded to NeatRom Kitkat 4.4.4 lo and behold it has BLE enabled So if anyone is searching for a BLE enabled Kitkat Rom you know which ROM to get.
Hi,
Peoples who are still on Quattro, are there any chance we can get Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update..?
Is anyone working on custom ROM...
Please update
General answer is No. Now, it is an abandoned project from Samsung.
we didn't even get 4.2.2 our device is dead
There's a Chinese edition of this phone and only difference is it can record 1080p videos (probably because of a sw thing). Didn't anyone tried this ROM or if it's not compatible anyone ported yet? It's 4.2.2

i've asked a long time a go, apparently the devices differ a lot.
GT-I8552 / GT-I8552B - Galaxy Win or Galaxy Grand Quattro
GT-I8558 - Galaxy Win DUOS
I have a I8552B and I am interested in playing with Cyanogenmod 13.
I just beginning to research, but, I think the biggest problem is the kernel.
Samsung has released the kernel source, and there is custom improved kernels on the developers section, the problem is that these developments are enhancements, updating the kernel to be compatible with Marsmallow would be quite heavy (I'm guessing).
I would be interesting to test freedreno with CM13 (maybe painful, but interesting nonetheless)

I tried Rom didn't flash via Odin lol
Hello everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo and want to know if it is possible to port Roms including earlier Android versions (like Android 4.1.2) to the S3 Neo (which comes with Android 4.4.2).
I'd appreciate all answers.
I doubt it. I have a feeling that the drivers for the hardware won't be compatible with the older firmware.
Beamed in by telepathy.
You cannot flash older versions of Android because of hardware incompatibility. You can flash CM12.1 on s3 neo but you'll face little battery drain because of cpu governor of CM. I'm now using stock 4.4.2.
