Finally after several emails to micromax i got 4.2 update for my a116 near my locality (initially they asked me to travel 100kms from my home) at a service centre.
After getting my glossy a116 updated to 4.2 i want to root the phone. But as its micromax and very little amount of earthlings are proud owners of such a cheap phone so i couldnt get much developers or rooting info about the phone though xda has some rooting tutorial but all those are for 4.1.
Any idea any1 as how to root A116 having 4.2 stock rom?
Or just the A116 4.1 rooting tutorial will work?
and anyone rooted their A116 4.2 phone? or any problem in rooting A116 4.1?

so far i have rooted my micromax a111 canvas doodle,
have superuser installed and working fine,
now all i need is how do i downgrade my phone to 4.0.4 ( ics )
Please note i need 4.0.4 only.
i heartly request developers to throw some light on this issue, as i really need it badly.

flash the stock rom...it will be downgraded to 4.0.4 :d

I have a micromax a91 ninja and i dont know much about rooting a phone the features of my phone says it has a ANDROID V4(ice cream sandwitch) so after i root my phone will i b able to upgrade it to a higher version lyk JELLYBEAN.....?? should i root my phone....?? one of my friends told me that ROMs are not available for my phone......is that true?? plz help
u can root using framaroot app!! I too use the same mob!! n there is no rom available yet for our mobile!!

A108, it's a pretty good phone for 10k. I previously used a
micromax a60. I wanted to root my canvas L but I've been
unsuccessful in every method. It runs on Kitkat 4.4.2 and mt
6582. Towelroot and Framaroot didn't

Even i m failed to root my canvas l a108 ..is there any possible way to root it..
After tone rooting apk im able to get u 2 apk that helped me to root
Iroot help to intalle root and some Chinese su,
Step one switch on dubbing mode
Step 2 intall below apk
Step 3 root it
Restart it
If still not rooting add one step
Dont unintall above file
Install below file and root it
It help me.

I have Micromax Canvas L A108.
I used "kingroot" app for rooting purpose.
This takes 2 minutes to root phone.
No problem in that.

Hello all.. i am a newbie.
I just want a help from y'all developers..
Please help me root my Micromax e352 nitro.
I have tried all rooting apps i.e. kingoroot,kingroot,zroot,towelroot, and all. But none of them worked.
Please help me. The device is running on Android 5.1.
