Hi. Sorry for my bad english.
I wanted to try lollipop, so did a nandroid backup of my stock 4.4.2 Touchwiz KK (using Philztouch recovery) and flashed official 5.0.2 blispop rom for my device (Samsung Galaxy Note 8 N5110). After a few days I decided to roll back, wiped all, restored backup and everything fine.
Except... now I can't access internal SDcard anymore.
Weird thing, it deppends on the app. Some can access, some can't. Examples:
Stock file manager ("mis archivos") can R/W SDcard normally.
But ES File Explorer can't. Internal storage appears empty, and if I try to put any file it says I don't have permissions.
But Root Explorer can.
Chrome & stock browser can't. If I try to download any file, it fails (it says it hasn't permission to create folder).
I have a mp3 there. If I try to play it, many players (Google play, VLC, etc) fails, but stock music player plays it normally...
And so on.
¿Any ideas to fix that issue? Thank you very much.

OK, so I'm possibly the biggest idiot to ever own an Android. I rooted my SGH-T959d via SuperOneClick a few months ago and decided to remove bloatware, along with stock keyboard, and "my files". I kept the original launcher. Just an hour ago, I was playing around with my phone trying to flash a ROM through CWM recovery (which didn't work due to the infamous signature verification problem) and I managed to do a factory reset. Now, all of my old apks - including root file explorer and hacker's keyboard - are on the external sd, and I have no idea how to view them to reinstall them. I am also stuck without stock internet and wifi has a password; therefore requiring a keyboard which I do not have.
I've tried going on Google Play on my laptop and sending new apps to my device, but I can't re-register on my phone due to lack of keyboard. I am freaking out so much I'm surprised I'm typing.

Thanks, but I forgot ThinkFreeOffice also suffices as a file explorer. I'll load a keyboard apk into my external sd and go from there.

Sorry to bother you with an old question, and a noob one for you maybe.
But how did you solved your problem? I'm in prety much the same predicament, but with my tablet. It's a Brazilian, unknown model (Tectoy Octopus TT-2800), so I can't find any roms for it, stock or not
Did you succeeded in installing a keyboard? How? I'm only having access to the configurations menu, can't launch Google play or even if I managed, I couldn't login in it or access the WiFi cause I don't have a keyboard to input the password. And the damn thing doesn't even have mobile internet cause it's WiFi only.
I did research about this ThinkFreeOffice you mentioned, but don't know how to use it to launch the keyboard apk. I actually managed to copy the swiftkey, Titanium Backup and root explorer apks in the sd card, both internal and external via usb cable from my laptop.
I will be grateful for any insight you may have
Cheers

Hi,
1. I was on unofficial MIUI v5, which i found here (iXanza on XDA). Was on 3.4.12 and all was fine except for small issues with bluetooth.
2. Yesterday I downloaded the official MIUI v5 3.5.17 and updated the same on my phone without wipe. Everything is okay except many applications needing SDcard is mibehaving - they are not able to see the SDcard - like music and gallery app.
EDIT: Poweramp is seeing the SDcard and able to play music.
3. Funny thing is that the File Explorer sees the SDcard fine and can launch the media files in respective applications successfully. Also, gallery is not even listing phots from the internal storage DCIM\camera and other folders.
4. EDIT: Also, the market is gets stuck in the download operation but refuses to even start.
I know the first suggestion would be do install with wipe but is there any other way as even titanium backup pro is also not seeing the sdcard??
PS: I have also tried formatting the same in FAT32 as suggested in another post but it did not help.
Thanks in advance.

Everything works fine after wipe. Thanks.
Well, my girlfriend updated her Galaxy S3 a couple of days ago, and suddenly the gallery wouldn't work. It just showed up as com.sec.android.gallery3d in the app drawer. I've done everything in my power, even rooted the damn thing, but nothing seems to work.
Amidst my ferocious attack on the problem I seem to have gotten rid of the "faulty" gallery apk and can't find a good one via google that works.
Odd thing is that at first the com.sec.android.gallery3d app was missing from /system/app. When I did a search for "gallery" I found SecGallery2013.apk that was called "com.sec.android.gallery3d" in it's properties. Kind of like a symlink I think.
That original SecGallery2013.apk is now gone with the wind for some reason (my ADHD took over a while). I actually found a com.google.android.gallery3d that works (but not original) and com.sec.android.gallery3d-2be92cef98aab5194d4ae68382324577.apk (took away the number at the end of course) that seems to be the original, but crashes constantly.
I'm at a loss, hence why I did the topic name "need stock apk", as that might fix things.
Though somewhere on the filesystem (I'm still somewhat of a noob as to how android is built) there were once a folder called com.sec.android.gallery3d which is not there anymore. Any attempts at installing the apk has, obviously, also failed.
I've read almost every other possible solution, but all of them seem to be under the impression that I would have the sense to backup every single thing...
Help!
What android, firnware are you running right now?
You can get the gallery app from any STOCK BASED flashable zip (many lite version roms available in this forum). Just open the zip, look under system/app or something similar, take the apk file, put it in system/app of your own phone with rw-r-r permissions, then reboot.
Stock system apps can't be just installed, they must be manually placed in system/app directory.
Try to flash Google Apps from CWM or TWRP (I assume you already flashed CWM or TWRP with Odin)
A brief explanation of Google Apps:
Apps like Play Store, Gallery, Camera, etc... Or the stock proprietary software made by Google are all in this one zip file called GApps, All you need to know is how to flash ZIPs (easy as 1,2,3) and the GApps for your android version.
Other options:
Find another 3rd party Gallery alternative from Google Play (EASIEST)
Flash CyanogenMod or an alternate ROM (Too risky just for getting gallery back)
Just get the images from the device to your computer
Well that's all I got, PM me if you need anything, hit "Thanks" if I helped you
Hello everyone and thanks for the support.
Recently I installed the Cyanogem Mod 12.1. I really missed the motorola apps in the stock version, so i tried reinstalling them. After some research in /system/apps, i found two foulders, probably related to the motorola apps. After i tried installling the apk, it said it wasnt a support device. So i coppied the foulders in /system/apps, permitions and etc and done. Didn't work after all.
Now i updated cyanogem. A "motogeofences has stopped" appears everytime. The device shuts down after 10 alerts.
I want to go to /ssytem/app and erase the folders, but how?I have twrp recovery.
Use the Aroma File Manager in your recovery to delete these files.
Just copy the zip to your SD Card and install it from your recovery (should work with every recovery). When done, exit the file manager and restart your phone.
Wrong thread. Sorry
Hey! I am troubling a problem now.
Recently I was factory reset my phone and With TWRP recovery tool, I wiped my full system including the internal storage and then I installed New MIUI ROM V9.2.5.0 on my XIAOMI Redmi 4x.
---------
After installing this ROM on my device I saw that There are only 2 folders(Android + TWRP ) and 1 file(the ROM zip file).
>If I want to create a new folder, it shows "couldn't create folder".
>And also it doesn't allow me to delete the ROM zip file.
>If I want to take a picture then It shows Insert Sd Card before using the camera.
>It doesn't allow me to download files from browser also.
.
But I can still download and install apps from play store without facing any problem.
Note: I used ES file explorer, but the problem occurs also.
.
So, How can I get rid of this problem ??? I want to access(read/write) my internal storage. Please help me.
