Hello everyone and thanks for the support.
Recently I installed the Cyanogem Mod 12.1. I really missed the motorola apps in the stock version, so i tried reinstalling them. After some research in /system/apps, i found two foulders, probably related to the motorola apps. After i tried installling the apk, it said it wasnt a support device. So i coppied the foulders in /system/apps, permitions and etc and done. Didn't work after all.
Now i updated cyanogem. A "motogeofences has stopped" appears everytime. The device shuts down after 10 alerts.
I want to go to /ssytem/app and erase the folders, but how?I have twrp recovery.
Use the Aroma File Manager in your recovery to delete these files.
Just copy the zip to your SD Card and install it from your recovery (should work with every recovery). When done, exit the file manager and restart your phone.
Wrong thread. Sorry

Just recently noticed my SU icon went to the ninja and not the normal SU cross-bones icon.
When I boot into recovery (to flash another rom) I get E:.../cache/update.zip.
I re-install packages...all is well, except it reboots the phone instead of going into the recovery menu.
*2.2 stock build (jk6) from Som
Is my update.zip file screwed? I still have SU permissions on the phone, but cannot flash anything new...I tried DL'ing the original SU app from the market, but it keeps getting aborted during installation. Phone runs great, but I am now stuck with this rom combo and cannot experiment. What would cause this? How do I go about fixing it?
I have tried using a new update.zip several times but the same problem persists.
Alright...posted this as I was trying everything (been dicking around with this for 2 days).

*I in no way take responsibility to what happens to your phone if you follow my fix
Here's how:
*New update.zip on sd card
*flash CMR in Rom Manager
*fix permissions in Rom Manager
==reboot into recovery==
*clear cache
*re-install packages
*install rom from sd
DONE
Hi all, folks!
I'm quite new to this forum, but I've decided to open a thread because I have a problem with my O1.
This morning I flashed the #echo Void ROM. It all went fine, I installed some modules too (gapps, kernel, a2sd, gingerbread, hwacc).
After finishing the install process, i decided to download some apps from the market, but had a very bad surprise: it hangs at starting the download of every app I try and there is no way of downloading it .
I've tried everything that has come to my mind: uninstalling market updates, wiping the memory, turning the wifi off and on again. I've even re-flashed the ROM without installing any modules and re-tried to use the market, but still the same problem occurred.
If anyone has any idea about it, please let me know.
I must say that it is not the first time that I flash a ROM on my phone, and I'm quite sure I did everything in the right way by flashing Void. I 've been a Megatron user for about two months, with absolutely no problem at all.
Thanks in advance.
If you have GAPPS installed you should try to delete the market data (You can do it manually by deleting /data/data/com.android.vending/ or from an application manager). If you will still experience problems with the market, try removing it (/system/app/Vending.apk), then extract it from your ROM's ZIP archive and put it back into /system/app on your phone.
Market can also crash because of a missing Download Manager application. There should be an apk for it in your ROM's archive. (Do not install system programs by starting them! Copy them to /system/app/!)
i am currently building a rom for the samsung captivate built off 2.3.5.
The base im using is stock - deodexed/ ziped / minorly changed
this base flashes and works just fine!
what i am doing to it:
remove bloat.
- at&t apps,
- protips.apk
- remove broken swype
- remove stock email (not gmail)
- removed stock launcher
change to hacked camera.apk
remove bootsound
remove shutdown sound
change bootanimation
added user apps in data/apps
added widget picker in system/app
changed default wallpaper in framework_res.apk
changed install script
changed CSC
custom twwallpaperchooser
everything works fine through the install.
but durring the "setup" on first boot " phone setup wizard " will force close right at the step where you setup your google sign in.
BUT THATS NOT THE PROBLEM, (just the first sign of it)
the real problem is any apps installed after flashing do not show up in data/apps
any apps installed through the flash are there, but any installed after ARENT.
and no they arent on the SD card.
the apps will slowly disappear after installing one by one.
when i reboot THEY ALL DISAPPEAR!!!
it seems that the apps install to cache or memory.
as the memory gets cleared or you reboot, they get wiped away!
i have tried various things to fix this
i have rebuilt my rom MANY times.
with and without my framework res changed file
with and without my custom install script
with and without removing stock launcher
with and without changed CSC files.
with and without twwallpaperchooser
if i flash the base i was working from again, all is good.
this only seems to be an issue when i flash data/apps from the zip file. however i have used a script from a rom that successfully flashed data/apps before without this issue, so i do not think it is a permission problem....
im stuck and lost.
more specific, rewritten description i emailed to a few friends
holy hell i bet youve been busy...
me too, i finally have my rom built. for KH2 KJ1 and KJ2 !!
have it down to an easy process now. install script working!
but im having one final issue and cant find any useful info on it anywhere and its very specific
**I know KJ1 and KJ2 install any app to the SD if possible by default. any app on SD will not be affected by this issue ***until it is moved to phone
if I build my rom to install apps to data/app (through cwm flash )- any app that gets installed after (through market or sideload) will slowly disappear after some use or immediately after reboot. they also will not show up in data/app or system/app when installed ** once again not including apps on SD. and if apps on SD are moved to data/app they do not end up there. they disappear.
this leads me to beleive that they are installing to cache or memory, as the memory gets cleared or the phone reboots. they are gone!
if i build my rom without user /data/apps (and without that part of the script).
everything is fine. any app installed after shows up in data/app and is still there after reboot.
i have also used unmodified scripts with and without the package_extract ("data", "/data")
that have been known to work with the original rom they were taken from. without the issue i am seeing.
so i do not think it is a script / permission issue not allowing the system to write new data to that location. but i could be wrong.
my rom is ready for release once i can get this last part figured out. otherwise ill have to release with no user apps... any input would be greatly appreciated.
thanks again!

one search i came across mentioned something about possibly not being converted to rfs, but I have flashed to stock with re-partitioning ( rfs for sure ) and the rom and kernel i am building does not support it so that shouldn't be an issue.
from what other rom builders have told me this is an issue with gingerbread roms.
have apps copied to SD card and ask users to install manually.
Dude just found this post....sorry i was busy with KJ2
glad you got a tempory fix
ya you gave me the fix in the PM! LOL

Ok so I just unrooted my vibrant cause i like touchwiz and wanted to use it. Later on I downloaded an app and whhen i tried to install it it said problem parsing the package. So then went to use the apk i used before when i was rooted. Same error. I really dont want to go back to any custom rom to use this. Please help
Even the sims 3 that comes with the phone says problem parsing package
Rooting has nothing to do with it at all. What ROM are you on and what ROM are you coming from. Parsing issues come from signatures in the APK.
Example: ROM1 has a cool blue-colored app called Smellthefish.apk. You leave ROM1 and go to ROM2 and want to install Smellthefish.apk but it won't install from the market and you get a parsing error. You try to install the cool blue one from your TB backup and again get the parsing error. This is b/c ROM dev modded the Smellthefish.apk to MAKE it cool blue. When he did this he de-compiled the apk, edited the XML, resigned it and re-compiled it back and cooked it into his ROM.
What you need to do is uninstall Smellthefish.apk and then go into settings>manage apps and make sure it isn't there. Go into Market while you are in there and clear cache and data. (You may want to boot into recovery and clear /cache and /dalvik-cache too) Go back into market, sign in and now you should be able to download Smellthefish.apk and let the funny faces begin.
To dispel any rumors Smellthefish is not real and Rooting does nothing to your ROM but give you Root Permission, which means that you can get into files like /system, /data, /cache,...
Hey! I am troubling a problem now.
Recently I was factory reset my phone and With TWRP recovery tool, I wiped my full system including the internal storage and then I installed New MIUI ROM V9.2.5.0 on my XIAOMI Redmi 4x.
---------
After installing this ROM on my device I saw that There are only 2 folders(Android + TWRP ) and 1 file(the ROM zip file).
>If I want to create a new folder, it shows "couldn't create folder".
>And also it doesn't allow me to delete the ROM zip file.
>If I want to take a picture then It shows Insert Sd Card before using the camera.
>It doesn't allow me to download files from browser also.
.
But I can still download and install apps from play store without facing any problem.
Note: I used ES file explorer, but the problem occurs also.
.
So, How can I get rid of this problem ??? I want to access(read/write) my internal storage. Please help me.
