amazing performance on antutu LG G2 - G2 General

so earlier i ran an antutu test on my lg g2 d801 using the rom d801v11b videoton variant and this was the result
this a very nice rom with no preloaded ****ty apps, and the ram consume its outstanding 1,14gb free always only using facebook, chrome, etc
all is in stock with no OC to anything. and running android jellybean 4.2.2
because i'm having some compatibily issues ( my d801 it's t-mobile and this rom its for videoton i had to change to d801v20g t-mobile rom) so i just wanna to share my result

I get about 40-42k on Lollipop roms. This phone definitely is no slouch.

G2, how good are the CM ROMs here?

I sold my Note II yesterday and i was looking for a good stock Google smartphone. I owned a G2 for a week and I remember it had a brilliant battery life, but i don't like the LG OS. I heard about a good development scene about stock-based ROMs like Cyanogen. Is that true?
On Note II, because of the Exynos CPU and some lack of development support from Samsung, Cyano ROMs were just a mixed bag of experience. There are some minor issues everywhere and the 2-days battery life of the samsung ROM is impossible to get on CM.
So, i'm looking for a G2 for a quick CM 11 flash. Do you think it's a good idea?
I'm also considering a OnePlus One, but the invitation thing is a bit annoying and i don't think it will be easy to get one.

If you're entirely bothered about AOSP, I'd go for the Nexus 5 or HTC One GPE. If you had asked me yesterday I'd have said AOSP roms are still a bit buggy with issues but I put on OmniRom last night - it really seems the best of the bunch at the moment! Not had any issues at all (But I've only been using it properly for 12 hours or so).

Yeah, but what about battery life?
I'm ok with the 2-days of moderate usage of the Note, and i heard that Nexus 5 and the One M7 aren't very good on battery life.
I used to be on CM 10.2 stable and everything worked fine. Then I wanted to try Kit Kat, but CM 11 was pretty unstable for me (I think I tried the M4 build).
I decided to give stock another try since LG released their KK firmware. I used to own a Nexus 4 and still prefer AOSP, but you can get LG stock close to AOSP.
I use Nova Launcher and with G2 Tweakbox (Xposed) you can switch the ugly LG quicksettings with the AOSP one. CloudyStock 2.0 ROM allows you to remove LG 's bloatware during installation.
There is a GPE ROM for the lg g2.

+1 here, im also using stock kk+nova and deleted bloated apps using TB Pro + using some kernels available(using simple kernel default settings, smooth and battery friendly or if dori's kernel is updated to stable) works perfectly and smooth for me. It gives me 3days of usage when I turn my phone useless and 1 day if I play games for hours which is normal.
CM11 nightlies have been perfectly stable for me over the past 2-3 weeks

I did try cm 11 m5 build, everything working like it should, smooth, less stuttering than on stock. but just can't stand camera. It's miles away from stock

With KK sources released, we should have stable builds.
Although honestly I am loving stock 4.4.2 + root + xposed. I've never used a stock rom longer then a week before. Been running stock since November. Simply amazing.

Thanks for the interesting replies!
Stock KK is tempting me but when i tried i figured that i don't like so much the LG interface

Agreed. Well, Stock + Root + Xposed + Nova Prime + Simple Kernel (underclocked to 1.728ghz) and a lot of bloat frozen/deleted is about as perfect as I have had the phone running. Battery life is excellent for me (40-45 hours with 5% battery left. 60% permanent screen brightness. 5-7 hours screen on time).

do check out the g2 dev forums for the available roms. personally i'm using mahdi rom and ehndroix before that. They are both SUPERB imo.
if battery life's what you're concerned about, for myself the roms average drains around from 100 percent to 70 percent in average of 12hours? (as i'm a light user).
in comparison to nexus 5 and htc, i'm almost definite that the battery capacity on g2 outclasses them both. so battery wise, g2 is good choice. Since my purchase of the phone in november, the dev for roms has been increasing steadily.
G2's definitely worth a consideration
Omni ROM is great for me obviously it's not CM but its got loads of options and is stable as can be really. Just had to change the low memory killer to medium with kernel tweaker but otherwise running as provided.

How much did you used it? Because on every aosp i have installed i got allways reboot problems... Now I'm on stock modded lighting rom is fast like aosp and i have call record also on bluetooth, something that on aosp is missed. But i have to say that those kk stock rom from lg are bugged because you can't disable obexmaptransaction (the bluetooth sms sharing thing) and it drian more battery than JB when paired in car. I use the phone for work so if i have to say wich is the best atm for me is stock JB but KK is lot more snappier, so i'm using this, because i have read somewhere that LG is going to push an OTA to fix those small issue.
Another problem on stock is that when you have to save a contact by default the phone use internal memory and not the Google account, so every time i have to select my account. I hate this because you cant edit wich accounts have to be the default one.
Sorry for my english, i hope to have given an idea based on my personal experience with the roms out there for the D802.
The aosp I have tried past 3 days are: Slimkat, Paranoid and Mahdi both unstable for my use for the frequent reboots...

Yeah, on the Note2 side of the forum there's a bunch of users that say "this nightly is perfect, this custom ROM is amazing" but in fact none of them are perfectly fine for random reasons (camera issues, BT issues, battery issues and so on). I hope that on the LG G2 side there's a different situation, thank to the Qualcomm CPU that i think is better for development.
AOSP ROMs are really good for me on my D802. Now on latest Mahdi Rom with merged 4.4 sources I have 4h screen-on-time with 59% battery left, I unplugged the phone 21h ago. I have 'only 2G' setting and I used a lot of WiFi (Dolphin, FB Messenger, Youtube...)
Generally the ROMs will get really stable on days/weeks, because of LG 4.4 sources.

Just activate ART The thing is to flash proper Gapps and generally to flash the ROM properly, for me ART is always stable and it gives profits in battery life and smoothness.

Official Stable Release of Cyanogen Mod is exactly as it's stated. Official Stable Release.
If your on stock and need to root and unlock bootloader for CWM it's easy. First download LGOG Root and root the beast. Then download FreeGee on the Playstore and CWM Mako the Beast.
Then install these and enjoy an additional 8-10 extra hours of battery life, 8-10X better performance, 8-10X more enjoyable experience overall with zero issues.

One more vote for Artmod 7. The only think I don't like is unable to get LTE service under t-mobile network only H+

Just, Amazing!

I decided to install AnTuTu Benchmark and do a performance test (obviously), and I find the big surprise that our lovely LG G2
(In my case the D800 AT&T model, running the CloudyG3 2.1 Rom, with the Dorimanx kernel without being overclocked) had a score of no less than 36201 points! And even better score that our successor: The LG G3 ... Simply amazing!
Here I leave the image for the ones who don't believe me.
How is your battery life ? That's impressive
It is normal as the screen of G3 is of 2k resolution, which burden the GPU a lot

My battery life is very good, I have 25 hours, with a moderate usage.
I don't know if this is the perfect combination of Rom+Kernel, but it works very good for me And if you don't have too much apps, I recommend it!
36k is OK but not amazing! ;p
I had over 40k on stock 20D. After upgrading to 20H it is about 36k too. So, there is nothing special about Cloudy.

Looking for a stock style ROM heavily optomised for speed

Hi all,
I have an INTL 9300 (1gb ram) and it's SLOWLY KILLING ME.
I hate Cyanogenmod and I like Touchwiz, I like the skin, I like the dialler, I LOVE the scheduled SMS function in the SMS app, I like the contacts, I like most stuff. I just want a ROM which is memory optomised if that's possible? Does such a thing exist? Something which disables S-Voice and disables the camera watching your eye and all the other little things.
I've turned off what I can already but my phone is still quite painful.
Does anyone have a suggested ROM for this? I literally don't need any new features.
I've currently got JSS15J.I9300XXUGMK6 (ROOTED) but otherwise stock.
Is there anything which is up to date but somehow the free memory usage is as high as possible?
Thank you all for your time.
IMHO best touchwiz based rom out there is back-to-n00t KK 4.4.4

What you are asking is like asking for a female model that can run faster than hardcore male runners.
Touchwiz will always be sluggish.
I honestly dont know about that Back-to-noot because I hate the old Samsung Touchwiz, and therefore use roms like S5 Sensation,Blekota S5 Lite and Note 4 Lite.
From those 3,S5 Sensation felt the smoothest.
Any you can try using Seeder ------Seeder Youtube video
Try QS 4.4.2 rom, excellent battery, ram & smooth. Use with Agni kernel for easy tweaking. QS has combined hard & soft mod in a zip for latest release. If you want a slimmer version, try his clean ported NI2 version or use QS based Skywalker rom (300+mb only)

If Touchwiz is slightly slower than Cyanogen / stock google, that's fine by me. I'm more curious if some of the stock samsung apps which are bloatish can be disabled. I know several things can be turned off and un-installed manually by a new phone owner with root but I was curious if other optimisations were possible by ROM developers, dunno.
I think back-to-n00t KK 4.4.4 meant to be a base rom, if you try it you will understand what I mean
instead of back-to-n00t KK 4.4.4 you can use Blekota Note 4 Lite v3 :good: Blekota Note 4 Lite v3 uses back-to-n00t KK 4.4.4 as a base ROM and it's very stable! also it's AROMA so you can choose what to install so if you choose wisely you will get a solid, shiny operating system for your old fella :victory:
Try S5 Sensation
Back to n00t is fine, but you can give S5 Sensation a try as well. You have the Aroma installer, you can cut down the bloatware, S-Voice and other stuff, and just have what you want.
Its pretty stable, good battery life and OK performace, unless you're a heavy user. For daily use, its perfect.!

[Q] Lower AnTuTu score after 5.0.2 android update

So.
I got an update for my s6 edge from at&t a few days ago. And I installed it. And I was curious to know if there was a better performance so today I ran another AnTuTu test.... And I got a lower score than before updating android.
I already cleaned up my cache partition, I disabled unnecessary apps, I killed other unnecessary apps and services running in the background so now I have 1 GB free. And I still have same score.
68000s on android 5.0.1
57000s on android 5.0.2
Why.....?
Anyone else noticed the same on their phone?
What else could I do to improve my score again?
Notes: I'm using stock rom. I will add screenshots to the post.
I tought every s6 was 5.0.2 out of the box I didn't know they came in some countries with 5.0.1

I think it depends when did you buy it. I got mine 3 days after release. I think there was no 5.0.2 from at&t at that time
