I flashed a few lollipop Roms and really like the new messaging app. But I decided to go back to a stock based ROM.
Any way to get that apk and use it on my stock based ROM? I'm running eclipse. I tried to extract it from the zip but didn't have any luck.

Did you try the one available in the play store? Search 'lollipop messaging' and it should come up. Either that or reflash an lp ROM, make a tibu(or similar) backup of the messaging app & try and install it on your stock ROM that way.

I'm currently using the ewjet Rom with custom kernel which is really good. I miss/need the stock 2.1 (b.0.1?) Keyboard, browser and launcher system apks as i don't really like the ones that come with ewjet.
I'm currently away from my pc for a week and don't have any means of flashing the original 2.1b firmware to try and copy the apps. I'm not even sure if I have to use that specific firmware or would any other 2.1 apk work? I have actually googled all 3 apks but none work :-( is anyone able to help by attaching them or know what I can do. ThAnks

That's why it is important to back up before flashing onto a new ROM. Anyways here it is..
If I'm right, text input is the default android keyboard..
I've rooted my Tab, and backed it up with Titanium and removed some bloatware. But what should I do now? Any suggested root only apps, I've downloaded Task10 ROM but not yet installed it, but I may wait for an ICS build.. Just wondering what others have done with their rooted Tabs.
Download ROM Manager and use it to flash the latest CWM recovery(if it's not already there) and make a nandroid backup, then start flashing ROMs, my favorite is the galaxy task 10 but feel free to try other stuff
If you're looking for a good ICS buid try this one, I have it on now and it's working pretty well:

i don't have enough post to post on other thread. Is video and the camera working? I tried to find in thread but nothing matched. I'm running Task10 and it's by far the best one I've tried. I would like to try ICS but I would like working video.
thanks.
What's the most updated stock rom (with the new update i keep seeing around these threads)? And how can I install it? I'm coming from a custom rom already and want to switch back to stock, or maybe close to stock.

I was trying a new rom, Liquid Rom 2.3, so I try to run the ext2internalsd mod on stock kernel and matrix kernel and is not working. I downloaded again and tried with no luck. Also, opened SManager and opened as scrip/executable and saved with no luck too. I really want to use this rom, but if I can't use the mod I'll have to go back to a stock rom. Help?
Sd swap only works with tw roms and liquid is aosp so it wont work.
I'm sure this question has been asked before, but is it at all possible for me to get some of the stock apps from vanilla android onto my S4 without flashing a new ROM? Things like messaging and contacts and the like. Just looking to get a stock feel without necessarily needing to flash a whole new rom and then go through the trial phase and then restoring all my apps.

Will this overwrite the current TW apps, or will I have to freeze and/or remove them?
You can keep both i believe
