Hi all,
I have a big problem, I semi-bricked "stuck at boot animation" my Sony Xperia Tablet S.
in replace another "walkman.apk" in /system/app.
SGPT1211 - JB 4.1.1 r3 "root (kinguser)"
I don't know the "Region" but in the first "boot" I could choose "Belgium, etc .." "and no choise french region "
My real problem is this tablet from the start he did not connect the USB on my PC
I use the same USB cable into the charger.
I do not know if it's a cable or tablet problem.
I m go to "recovery mode" and "update.zip"
I try with:
signed-txs03_300-ota-131023003.zip
and other
but :
"Verifying update package"
"Installation aborted"
stop sign after Verifying update package.
i have 2 question please:
- My USB charging cable have to function with my pc?
- Can be used "stock recovery mode" + stock update.zip?
sorry for google traduction

Hi Mate,
I had the same problem for a few days.
Windows 8 couldn't correctly install drivers for SGPT1211.
I have an older Laptop with windows 7 and tried the same procedures with the same drivers. It worked.
You should check if the driver is installed correctly. I couldn't find anything for windows 8
UNfortunately I semi-bricked my tablet and try to figure out how to save it ... Thats life.

Hi,
For Windows 8/7/etc ADB drivers, check this post (read bellow step 6)
Follow the steps at this post
For S.onyXT.S v1.0 [UNBRICKER], read this post

- Select Browse my computer for driver software
- Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
- Select ADB Interface from the list
- Select SAMSUNG Android ADB Interface (this is a signed driver). If you get a warning, select Yes to continue.
To disable driver signed enforcement: see this video

Warm regards to the community here. I'm using Samsung & LG android devices past 2 years, with lots of custom roms and kernels; but have no experience dealing with Sony device. I am currently helping one of my friend to install Cyanogenmod on her Xperia mini pro sk17i, and help is required. I assure you, I won't have flooded the forum with a new thread if i'd found the answer. So hoping for a gentle guidance..
Here is what i did :
I followed the instructions given at Sony's website from step 1 to 12 : http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions
- I checked that Bootloader unlock allowed is "Yes", and managed to get my unlock key from Sony.
- I downloaded and installed Android SDK manager, also downloaded Google USB driver package revision 4. Also, i managed to download the zip file from Sony and successfully copied & replaced the android_winusb.inf file in the instructed folder.
- Now, at the step 13 mentioned in the guideline, i'm really stuck. I turn of the phone, press & hold volume up while inserting the usb cable.... there appears small blue light at the top of the device. But, nothing else happens.
>> I mean, the instruction says that i should be asked to point the drivers by computers, but my computer asks for nothing. I'm running on windows7 x86, intel core i3.
Please guide me what is going wrong ?? .... however, i should mention that my computer does gives me a notification sound, kind of what usually happens when i attach anything in the usb port.... but, on the screen, it shows no any notification or no any pop up... just nothing at all. I tried the whole procedure on an another computer running windows7 x64, intel core i5, but still stuck at the same problem.
Your help will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes, of course both things are checked. To test the things, i also checked upon SEflashtools, and the device shows up there. However, if i command adb devices, it didn't show up on my second corei5 computer, but id did show up on my previous corei3 computer.
I tried out almost all i can do from my previous experiences of dealing with galaxy and optimus devices.. yet, this one is beating me.
Use drivers and tools from this guide and post the results (also mount sdcard to MSC mode)
If link doesn't work download latest flashtool. On installation folder there is a folder named "drivers".Run the file inside.
you have to manually install the driver of your android phone, go to the device manager on your computer, it should appear as S1 boot Fast boot in other devices, update the usb driver with the dowloaded diver android_win_usb.
your device shluld appear as android ADB Interface then you can proceed to step 14 which sadly where I got stuck too. I can't get a a response back from the said step. inform me if you have luck on the next steps...

Maybe this video can help you.
Thanks friends. Finally got it working ! .... it appears it was surely driver problem. Tried all the given driver links and installed them, and at least one of them must have solved my problem.
Unlocked the bootloader, and flashed nightly 20. Returned the phone back to her.
Thanks again !

Glad i was able to help you
What worked for me:
I removed these lines from the INF:
%SingleAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_0FCE&PID_0DDE
%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_0FCE&PID_0DDE&MI_01
That worked.

Hello All,
Does anyone know where to get ADB Drivers for new Sony Xperia Tablet S?!
Also can any of the current owners confirm if they can charge their tablets through USB cable connected to the PC?
OK never mind I got it, I installed Tablet s ADB drivers the manual way and I got it working.
For those who need it, Download Here and follow below steps...
If the driver installation fails, you will need to manually install the driver.
Go to the Device Manager and find the failed install (typically the yellow "!" mark and "Sony Tablet")
Right-click on it and select "Update Driver"
Select "Browse my computer for driver software"
Select "Let me pick from a list..."
Choose "Show All Devices" and click "Next"
Click "Have Disk..."
Click "Browse..."
Browse to where you extracted the ADB driver installer and select "android_winusb.ini"
Click "OK"
From the list, select the 3rd choice: "Android Composite ADB Interface"
Click "Next"
A warning will pop up: "Installing this device driver..." click "Yes"
Another warning will pop up: "Windows can't verify..." click "Install this driver software anyway"
The driver should finish installing.
Click "Close" and it should now show up as an "Android Composite ADB Interface"
Restart PC
You can now use ADB through a command prompt window to run commands.
e.g. adb devices
Any issues, Check post at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22350827

According to Sony the tablet will not charge from a computer:
http://esupport.sony.com/docs/tablet/helpguide_sgpt2_3/US/contents/02/10/02/02.html#l1_connecting to a computer
Hi, when i try to install the ADB drivers, I find my tablet in the device manager, as a portable device under the name SGPT12 in stead of Sony tablet. Also when i want to upgrade the driver. It just gives me some options for MTP-drivers. When I say I want to browse for driver, I can select the ADB-file, but then it says it is not compatible with Windows x64...
Do you know any solution for this?
(I tried it with other USB devices and they can all get the ADB driver, but only my tablet does refuse it )
It seemed to have solved itself:good:
Bricked Tablet S after erroneous installed TWRP 2.6
Hello zorbakun and condi,
all is now alright! No brick at all thank god
This is a Root Tool for Android 4.0/4.1 devices.
How to use it:
1. Download and install ADB Driver.
2.Restart your computer once adb driver is successfully installed.
3.Have your device charged to at least 50% to ensure no power interruptions.
4.Backup your device to your computer or external sdcard (I like My Backup app from the Play Store).
5.Download and extract Bin4ary Root Tool to a new folder on your computer.
6.Power on your device and enable USB debugging (Settings>Developer Options>USB debugging>OK).
7.Connect your device to your computer via MicroUSB to USB cable in MTP mode (option will appear in notification bar when you plug your device into your computer).
9.Your computer should automatically install drivers using the previously downloaded and installed adb driver. It may popup a install wizard; follow the wizards prompts. Let Windows update search for it. The computer may say it can't install MTP device; that's ok, click finish or cancel. Then another wizard will popup to install ADB device and will sucessfully install.
10.Double-click "RunMe.bat" (it may just say "RunMe") in the downloaded Root Tool you extracted to a new folder and follow all instructions you see on the application (for SoftwinerEvb tablet choose option 1 by pressing 1 key and then enter/return key on your keyboard).
I've succesfully rooted my SoftwinerEvb (4.1.1 JB) Tablet with it. I haven't flashed any custom recovery, rom, or kernel yet.
HAVE FUN!!
I'll try and answer any questions if I can.

Hello I got this tablet Prestigio - PMP7280C3G V4.2.2 back in November, December time and I am wanting to Root it.
From a post I did back then on another website a user replied that he got it working and rooted using a method on a website into which here's the Instructions translated into English below....
-
Testing the current model PMP7280C3G_DUO with FW 1.0.05 and 1.0.07
Installing CWM :
First Tablet Do NOT let it lie somewhere near you will need it .
Second Download and unzip the file . PMP7280C3G_QUAD-recovery-flash.zip | Ulo?.to password : 7280
3rd Open Device Manager on the computer to turn off the tablet and connect the cable to the PC for a while, the new device
( MT65xx preloader ) right click update driver (if 2x click left to open the info on the device and select Update Driver )
and manually install the driver " MediaTek preloader USB VCOM Port " from the Drivers folder depending on your version of
Windows (tested on XP and Win7 32bit and 64bit ) - If does not happen the first time you just disconnect and reconnect
tablet , again captured the moment on the device.
4th Unplug the tablet and start Flash_tool.exe
5th Right click on a scatter - loading and set the path to the directory / PMP7280C3G Recovery
CWM/MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt and let Open.
6th Up in a menu icon you click on a download in the following confirm with YES you want to continue .
7th Connect the tablet off - starts by itself recovery download to your tablet . Can now be two situations ; endings Will
a download window with a green circle . A second variant or passes first the download and install the computer starts by
itself another driver " MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port" and flash program throws an error . Not to worry if you just unplug the
tablet itself on off it and click again to download again, click YES to connect off tablet . Ted would arrive melo
successful recovery in tablet and confirmation will be green ring in a new window.
8.Odpojte cable from the tablet and hold the VOL + and Power 3 seconds and you are in CWM recovery .
ROOT :
First In the ROOT folder is a file Supers - v1.65.zip and upload the memory card or tablet.
Second Run the recovery and select "install zip from sdcard" then select a location where you want the file to install
depends by location " choose zip from sdcard " and " choose zip from internal sdcard " you will find include file and
press power.
3rd select reboot system
That's all .
Way back in the state with Origami recovery without root if required :
Approach, as well as with CWM just place ingredients into CWM Recovery Route to Recovery folder Origo . The rest is the
same. In the tablet to run the application supers and remove root data settings .
THNX :
XDA for Supers - v1.65.zip

Now from the above I have downloaded the files Turned off the Tablet gone into device manager and plugged in the cable from the Tablet to the USB-Port of my laptop. It says in the steps above in step 3 that a new device ( MT65xx preloader ) should show up but it doesn't not in device manager not even on my computer now is that because the tablet is turned off also when its off and plugged in it's just charging.
Also when I got this Tablet I already hooked it up to my laptop to put music onto the tablet and photos so does that mean I need to turn the tablet on and uninstall anything that is to do with the Tablet in device manager then go from step 3 again - Does anyone know if that sounds about right since the new device ( MT65xx preloader ) in device manager doesn't show up yet with it's turned off and plugged in.
Any help will be Massively Appreciated.

1. install xperia companion and make successful connection with your device (enable usb debugging also)
2. install minimal adb and fastboot also
3. install latest flashtool and on the download page of the webside, x10flasher.jar are give and must be replaced from c\flashtool
4. drivers.exe given in the flashtool folder must be install (atleast all drivers for devices having "COMMON" mentioned + z series drivers (ALL ) ) ---- if your windows is w10, you must disable digital signature verification (google it)
5. after all this , you must make first connection with your windows! by switching off xperia X and plugging usb in X while pression (1) volume up key (fastboot mode) -- windows will install some driver (somec) --- (2) then unplug usb and replug, this time volume down key, (Flashmode) -- windows will install some driver! -----
6. NOW try flashing!
