Greenify as well as auto hybernation work only when the screen is off. Auto hybernation happens a few minutes after the screen goes off.

I have all the right settings and everything but the damn screen won't stay on for more than 10 seconds.
Screen Timeout is set to never turn off.
Power Saver is off.
No automatic lock.
This is so annoying when i'm trying to read anything, i have to keep touching the damn screen.

Theres a nice app in the market called "keepscreen lite".
It's free and you can configure each app so that the screen wont turn off for them.

By default my device keeps the screen on 1 minute. I've never changed it. It does seem to work fairly well by default.
If you're using a custom ROM, there could be an issue with the ROM. Might be best to post in the developer's thread to alert them to the issue and also to see if others are experiencing.
The main setting I've relied on is under Settings-> Display -> Screen timeout . Mine is currently set as the stock default of 1 min.
Hope that helps!
I have the stock rom, and my screen timeout setting has been at 2 minutes since I first go it.
I'll check out that APP that you suggested j4n87. Thanks
LATER: Sweet, that app works great. I still wish that the system settings actually worked like they're supposed to.
Hey guys,
I have a fairly brand new (within the month) rooted GN II. The backlight fails to turn off after sometime for some odd reason. I have the backlight set to 15 seconds and Smart Stay off (aka all software options set to off). If I restart the phone, it seems to temporarily fix the problem until it happens later on somehow. Anybody know what could be causing this? Application?
PS- I havent soft/hard reset it yet.
Thanks
Some applications will keep the backlight on. Are you leaving a specific app when it happens?

Thanks for the reply! Not that I can think of. But wouldnt the phones hardware/software settings override any app? I think the only app I use on it is Skype?
Apps can request the android permission that allows the backlight to stay on constantly, think Navigation, the screen stays on the entire time you're navigating. Watching a movie or video does the same thing. It sounds like an app that has this permission not working properly and keeping the backlight on, but it's hard to tell. This would be why a reboot fixes it, because it would close the app.

I found out how to turn off screen in or out the charger with screen always off or on. I just place my finger across the whole screen from top to bottom, it vibrates then turns off. I don't know if this has been mention yet, or if this is just me and my watch.

You didn't read the manual of the watch did you? And also this doesn't solve the display on while charging, it only dimms and doesn't turn off.

Yes obviously. That's why it's called always on. But we are trying to find a solution to turn off the screen completely when charging, whether always on is active or not
It already says this in the manual: "Dim the screen: Press your palm onto the screen until it vibrates"

Anyone else experiencing this? Screen wakes up for no reason and stays on permanently till I turn off. I'm on bad boys from BTW, thanks.

This was unchecked. Hasn't been happening this past day, I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the tip though.
Everytime I flip my phone over the screen turns off after a couple of seconds. Really annoying in games and videos-- are there any possible fixes for this?

Maybe you have "Flip to Shhh" turned on (settings\system\gestures) which I think also turns off the screen. I had it on for a while and noticed this.

Thanks for the response!
I just realized the actual issue, uninstalling digital wellbeing from ADB caused my "flip to shh" gesture to go away, and disabling usage access just causes the same problem of turning the screen off again. My only solution is to keep digital wellbeing untouched.
