[Q] Getting error message "can't find the network" - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I use the S voice feature quite a bit. All of a sudden, I started getting this error message saying that the phone can't find the network. Wi-fi is enabled as well as Bluetooth. I have voice coverage as well as data. I thought at first that it was due to a bad root. I replied the stock image but that didn't fix the problem. I went back to a rooted status. Any idea what could be going on here?

Eris sms error code

Running xtrrom 4.6 flashed to metropcs. Everything works mms sms calls web gps the works but occasionally even though i have bars of service. It will say
"SMS error"
"error code:34
class:2"
sms error cause code 34 error class 2
I have googled and can not find a fix anywhere for this error or even what it means. Does anybody have any inclination? I believe it may have something to do with roaming settings because of the fact that it says i have service but refuses to send but could be wrong. It's never really a patterned error either it happens sporadically with no apparent common factor.
Also reading how other people got it fixed by calling vzw but since i am on metro and they don't support the eris i am almost positive that the effort to call them will be in vain. Also metro is notorious for horrible customer care and tech support.
Also have tried dialing *228 to reprogram.
I get that error code occasionally when trying to browse the internet and send text messages at the same time. I dont know how to fix your problem but you arent alone.
I think it is something that means you are either receiving a phone call or text message while you are trying to send. Sometimes I get it and it annoys the crap out of me.

[Q] Error 16: Switch 694 after S-Off; Phone dysfunctional

I followed Bentenrai's guide to S-Off, Rooting, and Recovery. Internet (both Wi-Fi and 3G/4G data) works, but I am unable to make/receive phone calls or send/receive text messages.
The phone call error occurs after about 2 rings, which says "Error 16 (then in Spanish) Switch 694".
The sms error is: "sms error radio interface resource shortage" with details "cause code:64, error class: 2".
I tried everything from the "Phone does not work after S-Off" thread and was on the phone with 2 Sprint operators for over an hour. The first operator had me update profile and PRL, then had me turn off/pull battery while she did stuff twice to no avail. The second operator (who was mean and treated me like a moron) had me turn mobile networks off and on again, update profile and PRL, and pull battery (yes, she actually wanted me to pull the battery while the device was on; I powered it off first).
Is anyone else experiencing this or has anyone found a solution?
Thank you very much!
Yup, I found the fix. It's really easy! Tell the person to do a "CHLS Refresh", and then restart your phone.

Thanks! I also just saw the thread in the General section about all the lucky people who achieved S-Off without the error.
I'll call them back tomorrow and report back.
i had the same error after rooting my phone, just try to call any number, and after listen to the message, it will connect you to a sprint rep. they will confirm some information with you and they will tell you that they will reset from their side and ask to turn off the phone for 30 sec and boom, it's a go.
After some thought, I realized both Sprint reps only had me pull the battery for a few seconds. I decided to leave the battery out for about 5 minutes and when I powered back on, I was able to connect to voicemail. I let it stay connected for a bit and then was able to make phone calls and texts. Suddenly, I began receiving Error 67 messages, so I updated profile and PRL. Since then, (knock on wood) everything has been ok. Phew!
Forgot to mention this tidbit of wisdom from the 2nd Sprint rep: She told me my problems with making calls was because there's an outage in my area. I told her that wasn't likely because I was using another Sprint phone to talk to her. She still persisted in saying it was an outage. Yay!
That's it? no other responses to this. My sons phone is a paper weight at the moment. He can't even dial Sprint and nothing else has worked. Anyone have another idea?

HTC One Max vDM Client has stopped unexpectedly.

Rom: Viper Max 1.0.0
TWERP: 2.3.4
Carrier: Sprint
So I have the vDM client error. I have tried flashing the stock RUU but nothing seems to help. When I boot the phone the error message says "unfortunately vDM client has stopped unexpectedly" it pops up once then goes away without me touching anything. I have tried updating my PRL and Profile still to no avail. My 4G, Wifi and 3G all still work but the signal is sloppy most of the time now. I can still make calls and receive texts. I have also contacted Sprint and they gave me some bs about the cell tower being messed up in my area. It has been 6 weeks and it is still not better. I don't know what to do anymore there is very little info on this problem at all and why it happens. Please help me if you can. I am pretty tech savvy but this is one thing that has got me puzzled.
I have been getting the same problem. Will Google some more to see if any information is available. Your message from XDA came up first when I searched for it and I see that there is no helpful or not any replies to this yet. Thanks and good luck.

Wifi calling enabled, but not working at all

I'm using a ZTE ZMAX Pro on MetroPCS, and on top of other issues, the wifi calling is being a pain. The phone shows that it's enabled just fine, but when I try to send a text, it immediately tells me it failed. Calls don't even go through. I've tried several reboots, and obviously nothing came of it. I'm just stunned that there's no error messages, no "unable to connect," just the icon in the notification bar that says it's working. Any ideas are appreciated.
Have you registered with the e911 service?
In my experience, I turn off my data coz I am odd like that and that's when I found out I need my data on to receive text. I can send text with data off though. And actually my wifi calling on my phone REALLY works. Unlike on my samsung on5 it always have error messages so I just turn it off.
IF your phone is brand new when you bought it and did not mess with it. Although as far as I have searched there is no root on this phone yet. Then just factory reset. I factory reset mine no problem. Just remember to remove ANY account (especially google) first, before you reset to be VERY safe.

Couple of issues

Hello.
Had this phone for over a year now, completely stock, not rooted (current looking into rooting)
Couple of issues with it since day one...
I loose phone signal and internet signal for no apparent reason. To cure this I have to go to settings and disconnect from the network then reconnect and its ok again. Any idea why this happens?
Contacts play up, I loose my contacts for some reason even though I save them to phone and Sim and also backup to Google. When I loose them I have to go to Google and re-download them. I get the error message "contacts has stopped"
Also if I go to a text message and try to call that person from the text message menu I get "contacts has stopped"
Any help with these issues please
Thanks
