Tried to restore the MOTO E Indian DUAL SIM version to stock state as wanted to give it to someone, and when i applied the batch file to initiate commands, all went well for the few initial seconds after which the .img failed to load and the phone is not now stuck in bootloop. As i was running the CM 11 on it, the Cyanogen MOD logo keeps on running with nothing else happening.
Kindly help me - is my phone bricked, can it be brought back to normal state, if yes how?
Kindly guide me. Thank you devs

I would recommend fully powering off the device, and then powering on the device using the button key combination to boot into recovery mode.

Hi, thanx for the reply but the problem is that whenever the phone has charge, it only opens and bootloops. The bootloop stops only when the battery is drained out. The phone is not able to switch off completely as you suggest.

Try holding the power button for several seconds until you hear it vibrate then it should fully shutdown.

Installed TWRP, and finally in process Stock Firmwares http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759495
I have the same problem. unrooted, unflashed device.
Unable to factory reset, hard reset via recovery. It simply keeps restarting and ends up bootlooping.
I just got into the same situation with my surnia. I just kept holding vol down and sometimes power button - for a VERY long time - eventually it just went into fastboot mode. So I guess if one times it correctly during the bootlooping, there should exist a window in which it works. If you're considering giving it up, just give this a shot for like 5 minutes.

I have a Moto E that had the same problem when i flashed a dirty rom and Moto E doesn't fully shutdown on holding the power button while in a bootloop. It restarts.
Follow these steps to get into recovery mode-
Step 1. Hold the power button until the screen goes black.
Step 2. Leave the power button for around 1 second.
Step 3. Now hold the power button and the volume down key for around 3 seconds (The combination to enter bootloader).
Step 4.You will now see the bootloader menu screen. Select recovery and either restore the nandroid backup (if present) or flash a clean rom.
NOTE: You can fail the first few times but this is the only easy method to get out of a bootloop in moto e. It's all about timing.
Hope it helps

That blog has posted the wrong kernel. We already seen another victim http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069398
to solve this do either of these
Download Philz Kernel for XXLSJ from here http://www.mediafire.com/?2d893461cjg2rbe. and follow these instructions
Boot into download mode. First shut down your device, then power on by simultaneously pressing the power button, home button and volume down key
start odin3 (download Link ) and configure it as in picture below
connect phone in download mode to PC via USB
press start to flash the tar.md5 package

Yes you have to press up key. It will take you to download mode.
Also you will need Samsung drivers. You can either get them as a standalone drivers package
or
just install kies run it once and kill all kies processes from tasks manager before running ODIN

3. then phone stop to work.
4. i install him cyanogenmod and it works back.
5. then he tell me that he made some test and turn the phone off, and then the phone never starts up again and show this error message.
I've tryed to launch the factory mode with power + volume down, and power + volume up and down but it didn't change anything, it always launch with this error message.
Do you have any idea to get this problem solved ? i wish to set it back on the original updated rom if possible.
Do you think this "dead" message in the error message is critical ?
Thanks a lot for you help, if you have any question don't hesitate to ask.
Best regards
ps : i already read/try this answear on a related topic : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25382757&postcount=30 but as i say previously it didn't work.

after that you need to install BMM to bypass CID

However can you ask your brother what tests did he do.?
The error isn't critical itself but the thing that you can't boot to recovery is strange.
Also, you sure the vol+ key is working right?

Hi. So I have a noobish question
This may sound very stupid, but this is actually the first time I've owned a phone with non-removable battery, so I just wanted to know what would I do if I ever got stuck in a bootloop? With my previous device, I could just remove the battery and put it back in then boot into recovery. Obviously can't do that now. So how do I turn the phone off, or enter recovery?
Anyone?
You can enter the recovery whenever you want by pressing the on/off button and the down volume button for about 10 seconds. When the Oneplus logo is on the screen release the on/off button but keep the down volume button pressed.
It works, I had a bootloop and fixed it by flashing the rom via twrp

Sorry, I got a little confused
Just to be clear, here's what I understood from what you said - Consider I turn my phone on and its stuck in a bootloop. What do I do then? Hold the power and vol down buttons? That will boot the recovery, even while the device is stuck in bootloop with the oneplus logo continuously showing?
Did I get it right?

I'm sorry I'm not English I may be unclear.
But yes, when you got the logo continuously showing, press the two buttons I said and it will reboot the phone, but you have to release only the on/off button when the oneplus logo will appear right after the beginning of the reboot. If you keep pressing the down volume button it will go to recovery
Have you got a oneplus x already ? You can try it right now, when your phone is awake. It's the same method as in a bootloop.

So I tried what you said, didn't exactly work When the phone was awake, did power+vol down. That just caused it to take a screenshot.
However, when I held down just the power button, the phone turned off. Then I had to turn it on by holding the power button. I did the same thing (holding down power button) while the phone was booting, it worked even then, and the phone again turned off.
So at least I can get into recovery now in case of bootloop. I just need to hold the power button till phone turns off, then boot into recovery using power+vol down combination.
Anyways, thanks for the help

You can try a different twrp. There's 2 builds for our device. One is from the twrp thread itself, the other is available in the blu_spark kernel thread.

Hi thank you for your return, but your link doesn't work!
For fastboot, unfortunately I can't access it because the phone restarts automatically so it doesn't work with on and volume down buttons and it doesn't work either with a computer.... Any other advise :'(

Hi everyone, I had a against time but I'm back! The cva_kabil solution works perfectly! I could fix my phone!
Thank you all for your help, you are the best
Hey guys, I think I just bricked my Honor.
My device is unlocked and has TWRP. After I rooted I received the update to B151, I downloaded it, the phone rebooted to TWRP, installed the update by itself and now it doesn't boot . It's stucked at the first Honor screen, I can shut it down but after that the phone boots up after 10secs. When I keep pressed any key the phone doesn't boot, but when I release them I tries to boot, being stucked at the Honor screen.
I tried putting it to charge, connecting it to the PC and rebooting to recovery via adb (I couldn't) and no signal of life. Is this a bootloop? A complete brick? Any ideas? Thanks for the help
it's normal
you can not install official updates with TWRP
install recovery stock for fastboot, do factory reset, if not boot
re-install the whole firmware b130 from DLOAD....
not working
necwssary to unlock frp navigate to setiings
I heve bootlop to twrp

Hello
first thing don't panic. If you can get in TWRP it's easy to fix
hold volup+voldown+power to get back to TWRP
hook the phone to your PC and copy this stock recovery to your sdcard
Now in TWRP choose Install / Image choose the recovery.img the tick the recovery box / then swipe to flash. You now have stock recovery.
now download the update.zip here > https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24499762636004244
and copy that file to a folder on your ext_sdcard called dload once its copied in TWRP choose
Reboot / Recovery. the update should flash upon entering recovery.
If it doesn't hold the volup+voldown+power again and let it reboot now it should flash and your phone will be fixed and updated to b151

There's the problem, at the moment I can't, when I keep pressed any button when the phone is off it won't boot, but when I release them the phone tries to boot up normally. Last night the phone ran out of battery, I put it to charge and gave me a signal of life. I'll try to access to TWRP when the phone ends it's charge

unplug the phone from the charger before trying the volup+voldown+power
sometimes I let it reboot once and then let go power and hold just the volume keys and it will go into recovery. other time just volume up + power takes you to recovery
the phone is pretty strange like that

Nothing happened. Rebooted and it's stuck again at the first Honor screen. I can still access to the EMUI download mode but I can't access to the TWRP (or at least I don't know how)
EDIT: adb recognizes that the phone it's connected when it's at the Honor screen but it's unauthorized

to enter fastboot mode
1. Place the device in fastboot mode:
Turn off the device. (then wait for at least 2 seconds) For a mobile phone, press and hold the volume down and power keys simultaneously for at least 10 seconds (for a tablet, press and hold the volume up and power keys).
2. If the above operations do not switch the device to fastboot mode, please try the following steps:
Turn off the device. (then wait for at least 2 seconds) Then insert the USB cable and press and hold the volume down and power keys simultaneously for at least 10 seconds.
Step 2 worked for me every time

Hi,
I have a s10+ and I flashed twrp. After this, my phone doesn't boot to recovery, just Download mode. I tried to boot into unlock bootloader section, but I couldn't because it loads into Download mode very fast.

Bro you can't flash twrp without a open bootloader only the international models of the galaxy 10 have unlocked bootloader next time you buy an expensive phone and want to modify it research it first to see if it's modifiable

Hey, I'm having the exact same problem with my Galaxy A50, did you manage to solve the issue?
Then great job, you hard bricked one of the most expensive phones on the market... You should really do a research or at least a Nandroid backup before modifying your phone. This is a lesson for all of those who just flash and don't care. No hate bro, but next time while flashing, be catefull!!!!

Yes, I solved the problem but I dont know if it's good for A50 too.
So, you should try to boot into download mode. If you have the same problem, your phone boots very fast. You have to be faster. Hold power button and volume down, at the same time when connect your phone to pc.
After this, you will able to install (flash) the original rom from sammobile or etc.

Boa Sorte.

This happens on Galaxy A51 (Exynos model A515F/DSN ) anyone have solution for this ?
If USB cable is plugged in (unplug it).
1. Press Volume Down and Power button, until the phone restarts.
2. Quickly plug back the USB cable and Hold Volume UP and then Press Volume UP again (OEM is now off and the Phone will reboot)
3. Quickly press Volume UP & Down on the same time again *don't remove USB cable*, until download mode comes up.
4. This time only press Volume UP.
Now you can install you roms.

simple!
hold down and power for it to restart, at the exact moment when it restarts, you press the two volumes, up and down, and connect the usb cable right after, before turning on, then a menu appears where you can hold up for 7 seconds and unlock the bootload
good god what a ****show of replies. Not once did anyone address the problem, just 1 idiot after another talking about how "expensive" the phone is.
My rooted s10 exynos does this also "error verifying vbmeta image" when it says "DOWNLOADING" instead of going to my latest twrp when installing it in Odin in the AP slow along with vbmeta.tar in the CP slot.
I wish we could remove all these idiots replies about how expensive they think the s10 is and just have the OP question and me saying I have the same problem and then me replying here when I find a fix.
