I have the note 3 with sprint n 900p. It is rooted, with twrp recovery, I am trying to change the font, I used font installer, and installed ChinaCat, which has worked for the most part changing MOST system fonts.... however, I would like to know how to change the font for the entire system, and applications, such as facebook, and textra.. Is there a way to do this? Ifont, fonster have not worked for me.
I also would like to be able to change the font to chinacat on the original samsung keyboard. I have root explorer, so if I have to go in and rewrite manually, I am able to do so, but I need to know which fonts to rewrite,
I would like Chinacat font through the entire system, keyboard, and apps if possible, thank you,
sammy

You could try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2752379 it will change all your system Fonts. It has 500 fonts, your font maybe in there just called something else. Download mod, copy and paste to your sd card, use root explorer go to system/app and delete SamsungSans.apk then copy and paste the new SamsungSan.apk to system/app. Now fix permissions rw-r--r-- then go to system/data and delete Delvik cache. Now reboot the device for changes to take affect, go to settings/device/font/font style choose a font follow the prompts. As for the dialer, text keyboard, Facebook, and some downloaded apps, those fonts have to be changed in within the apk with an apktool/samli/baksamli when your theming a rom apk you can change the font, here are some pics of a dialer I changed the font on http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/themes-apps/post-screen-phone-setup-t3013772 go to post #2 .

Hi, I rooted my TB today and changed fonts, after I restarted it, my phone stopped after the booting sound.
so I went back to stock, and rooted again!
Now, I really want to change the font but I don't want my phone to brick.
What's the safe way to change the font?
When I changed the font first time, I downloaded XXX.ttf file and changed the name to "DroidSans.ttf" "DroidSansFallback" and "DroidSans-Bold" and copy them to "/systems/fonts/"

Since I saw some AMAZING themes but I was unable to install'em, I wanna ask if somebony is able to link some themes which are compactable with Khalpower's V4 GalaxtXT ROM, couse I tryed like 20-25 themes and from all only DarkFroyo V2 and 1 more works.
Thanks alot!
The Honeycomb-theme works fine on V4 (except that you need to replace the keyboard with some keyboard from the Market, but that's the only bug there is).

Kahl has this one posted somewhere in one of his threads. It replaces the stock LatinIME.apk & works fine. Just copy the zip to openrecovery/updates boot into Open Recovery, appy the update, wipe the dalvik-cache & cache partitions & reboot.

When i try to apply the galaxyxtv4 theme update, it does not work! i still have the red theme and i dont know what to do anymore. Isnt that how one apply a theme? am i missing something?
I believe others had issues with that update too. If you're running the PersonaRedv4 I think you can just restore the system partition from KP full GalaxyXTv4 (nandroid restore) & wipe the dalvik-cache & cache partition & reboot.
I was wondering... if I install propper theme which works woth this rom but replace apps from other theme (and apps are more - 6 in compactable theme and about 20 in that one that I will replace with), so will it work as it works with bootanimation, couse if I keep the working theme but put difetent bootanimation it still works.
I'd give a guarded yes. If the filenames of the apps you want to replace match EXACTLY (e.g. maps.apk is not the same as Maps.apk) then they will be overwritten. If they don't match your best bet is probably to remove the apps you want to replace before installing the new ones. You will be limited as to the size of the system partition so adding files as system apps could be problematic but replacing one modded app with another should generally be OK. Another thing to note is (I think) not all apps can be installed as system apps. Note that it is always a good idea to do a nandroid backup before you try making the changes so (when) things go wrong (and they will ) you can get back to a functioning device as painlessly as possible.
Hi guys.
I'm looking for a working Gingerbread Theme for the V4XT rom.
Could you please help me?
Thanx in advance.
I was wondering if this one coud work? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9784619&postcount=13
I was previously used it on my original 2.1 Rom and it was absolutely perfect.
I have today tried to install many themes with the new khalpower v4.
Result was the follwing: I was able to get a decent outcome. Keyboard bug could be fixed but after a couple of theme flashes things started to get weired. First my gmail app stopped working.
After that I only got jibberish as fonts so that I was unable to change languages or anything else for that matter.
I'd very much appreciate ports for the new v4. Right now I'm using the fix described above. Thanks so much! Worked like a charm
After attempting the OGBatteryMod, my phone now has a black background, no notification bar, and no settings app. I am guessing there is a problem with SystemUI.apk and SecSettings.apk so I tried to reinstall them. However android fails to install them. The phone is rooted using exynos abuse. I have searched around and apparently this can be caused by flashing custom ROMS but I have done no such thing. A system restore might be necessary, but I would prefer not to if possible. Any help would be great!
FIX: Moved .apk files from folder "og" to system/app using root explorer. Mods: please remove this if needed
I have recently rooted the T-Mobile Galaxy s5 and I am having an issue with changing fonts. Settings-->Display-->Fonts gives me a list of factory installed fonts but if I try to change to one of the installed ones, I get a popup message
! Font not supported
This font is not supported. Contact the font provider. Uninstall this font?
Anyone else get this same message? I'm wondering if it is root related or a bug with the phone.
The same thing happened when the S4 came out. Samsung changed something with fonts.
I use an app from the play store called "ifont". Once you have the app it will create a folder on your sdcard called " ifont" and inside there should be a folder called "custom". Just place the .ttf files inside of there and open the app and choose the custom tab. Also if you have the font .apk you can click on it and choose to install with " ifont". It works well for me and have had no issues on my S4. Give it a shot.
