Found that it was updated, and I want to know if it's safe to flash.
Does it need to be Bump'd or something?

I would wait till there is more info on this release, it may need to be bumped first, plus I would like to know what changes were made before I go flashing.
Take a peek here: http://www.invisiblek.org/twrp/ and http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/orig-development/recovery-twrp-touch-recovery-2-8-2-0-t2966014

If you are on a verizon LG G3, due to the way its locked, twrp and everything else has to be bump'd to work. Read the OP. If its not posted here, I wouldn't flash it

Installed and working so far for me!
Verizon LG G3 bumped Jasmine ROM 4.0
Moved to General, unless you are the developer it doesn't belong in Development.
Why don't some of you just use twrp manager app? This installs roms recoveries and app zips. It's easy. And yes the newest TWRP is there ready to download and flash.
Bumped 2.8.5 is up in the original android development section.

I have an SCH-i545 and It was recently on NK1, I downgraded to NC5 and used towelroot. Did a factory wipe from the recovery, but now I cant get either TWRP or CWM to load? It only uses the stock samsung/verizon recovery, and this is not letting me flash any custom rom. Did I miss a step somewhere? I've got SuperSU installed aswell.

You can flash stock based Roms with safestrap still. You just can't flash a non stock kernel. Which means stock Roms only.
I ended up going with the cleaned stock nk1 and I'm digging it, once I get on my pc and can search better I'll go with eclipse perhaps. The Wi-Fi won't turn on though, gonna head over to that post and figure it out. =) thanks again

That's not entirely true. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-verizon/development/rom-kitpop-v1-0-t3019132

Its just a stock ROM. Mostly posted it so other devs could use it as well. As far as difference from the stock 4.4.2 Official, you wont see any difference.
When I release CleanROM you will see and feel the difference.

Very true! Atleast you are prepared for when I do release a 4.4.2 custom ROM.
IM still recovering from surgery so I hope in a few days to get nice de-bloated / optimized ROM out.
What would be the major differences between this stock rom you released and the clean rom? Bloat removal? Is there a Lollipop based rom in our future since I see that Lollipop is now available in some other parts of the world for this tablet.
Oh wow man! Thanks for this. Looking forward to CleanROM. Started my G2 with CleanROM and loved it. Thank you for giving this tablet some love!!

Got a custom recovery and a nandroid yet? Once those are in place, everything is an experiment that could go any way. Some modules are not compatible or functional with KitKat or Lollipop.
I wouldn't apply Xposed changes to any ROM--including stock--without having a recent backup ready to restore.

I somewhat have a custom recovery. I flashed some version of TWRP (whatever was included) via AutoRec for VS985 that can be found in Google Play Store but it freezes when trying to backup.
I just wondered if anyone here has tried using it with the stock lollipop software yet.

I am not familiar with AutoRec, but I get what it does. The key thing with our device is that the recovery must be "bumped" in order to work; other variants of the G3 do not need this. If a recovery cannot make a backup and restore it, it is pretty useless and you are kinda SOL if your experiment produces a SystemUI failure loop.
Follow the instructions found here to install the bumped recovery...
Then update your recovery to the latest version of TWRP via these instructions.
The OEM 10B stock ROM lasted about half a day on my device. I then moved to Jasmine to play around with stock. You might try that or SkyDragon if you want to experiment with Xposed on stock-based ROMs; the lastest versions are based on 23C Lollipop.

From reading comments regarding the lollipop update, I am seeing that Bump will not work with it?
I was entirely unrooted before I took the 23C OTA and then I rooted with the 1 click method, then installed TWRP recovery via AutoRec.
People talk about reverting from Lollipop (12C) back to 12B, Bumping, and then flashing a Lollipop based ROM.

I think that you are confusing "bump" with "Stump." Stump is an exploit to get root that only works with earlier version of stock; bump is a means of hacking the recovery to work around the bootloader, which is still technically locked on the VZW variant. Your recovery still needs to be bumped to work.
Rule #4 of Android hackery: Never accept an OTA.

No, I'm not confused. Stump is totally irrelevant... out of sight, out of mind.
Reading through the Bump post, they are saying Bump doesn't work with the Lollipop update. So with that being said, I cannot flash a Bumped version of recovery using Flashify while I'm on the stock/rooted OTA according to what is said there.
Refer to page 52.

It can be done, you need to use the DD method and flash the 12b boot, 12b aboot and the latest bumped TWRP. I can not find the thread at the moment, but it can be done on 23C

Hello
You can always refer to the main thread so the OP will be noticed of some errors.
What exactly freezes ? If you refer to the xposed installer, it backs up and then reboots the phone to recovery mode and installs the flashable.
Easiest solution is to flash a bare bones version of Jasmine 7.0.
The author of JasmineROM has created .IMG files that are 99.9% stock 5.0.1 that are compatible with a Bumped TWRP. You can be basically stock with a stable recovery if you follow his instructions
Xposed on Lollipop has LG G3 specific issues.
It WILL crash if you don't freeze the Quick Circle app and LG Weather app. Read about it here (bottom of post #2)
Even though you're on Stock 5.0 it's doable, but Xposed is Alpha for Lollipop so you really shouldn't do it unless you have a reliable recovery.

Google "vs985 twrp 2.8.7.0 xda" and follow the links to download the recovery image. Then download flashify from the play store and flash your new recovery image using that. Are you using a custom ROM or stock Android lollipop?
I finally figured out how to root my phone on 24B and I've been using the Alpha xposed framework with little to no issues.
I got an OTA notification this morning to install G900TUVS1FOL1. Went ahead an applied the OTA update and everything seems to be running much better than before. A lot of the lag that I was seeing before is now gone. No word on battery life as I only had the update installed for about 12 hours. Figured I would let people know that there is a new update available. Haven't seen much information posted about it.
I am unrooted BTW, so I can't really answer any questions about that.

Hey gang!
I have the metropcs variant (G900t1) of the Galaxy s5. I downloaded the .tar file. I wiped my phone first (twice for good measure) and rebooted to download mode via TWRP. I *did* uncheck the auto reboot box because I hears odin acts funny around OTA's. After the reboot was done, my phone got stuck on he splash screen for a while. I popped out my battery.
for the record, not a noob but leery about regaining root using cf autoroot.
XDA, check me on this. I want to do this right. =)
I updated via Kies earlier this afternoon. So far it's very snappy.
