guys..PLEASE HELP ME OUT..
ROM: stock 4.0.4
KERNEL: shardul's superstock v2
PROBLEM:
Apps(gallery, walkman, vid players, etc) are not able to scan/recognize media files from sd card (songs,video,pic)..but i can find, open manually using file explorers.
WHAT I TRIED:
1.different roms (cm9,pureness,stock)
2.formatted sd without partition, copied contents then and partitioned again (cos im using link2sd) file sys : FAT32 both.
3. deleted a .nomedia file from my SD..still doesn't work.
4. flashed stock ftfs like thrice..
5. searched posts on xda,but none solve my problem.
6. even tried RESCAN MEDIA ROOT.
P.S. IT ALL STARTED AFTER I FLASHED THILINAC'S WALKMAN U5.
Same problem
Same problem, using codename08 was working fine until yesterday. Now gallery and other apps work fine but none of the MP3s are recognized both by walkman and Winamp, tried everything possible from existing posts. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello.I'm an lg l9 user which worked perfectly for like 3 months. After that i gave it 2 weeks to a friend and now when he gave it to me back it's very anoying. It's not smooth anymore, it has many moments when for a second it's not responding.I used reset to factory settings with no luck. Also i've installed Clean Master and everytime the RAM memory is over 85% used. It's running on 4.1.2 with baseband 01.1230.00. Any advices?
If you're rooted get greenify and autorun manager. I keep my device running smooth. Also check to see which apps are running. Might be something that once removed will fix it up.
Another option is to do a full backup then do a factory reset and reformat your external SD card.
Good luck

I know there are loads of threads about this but they are no help for me sence i cant apparently install any apps either. It just gives me an error saying somthing like this "storage space is full" but it is not because i have an empty sd card in the slot. I am running 4.1 kitkat if i remember correctly.

Tried both and didnt work. Im not sure because android insist there is no storage at all... but obviously there is because android is on this device.
Ok.... dunno why but i can install the twitch app just fine... but everytime i restart the device it still goes trough the first time setup and such. Anyone got anything? Btw i think i said the wrong version. Its 4.1.1 jellybean.
Try reflashing the software yourself If you are rooted. Best bet.
or else try giving customer service a visit they might helf also.

@Chivyboy2608
Just tested chromecast support, working fine for casting video and audio, but unfortunately can't cast screen
While activating "Cast Screen" in the chromecast app , the TV switch to a black screen (like in MIUI).
@faust93
Tell me, if i can provide you some help (logs, tests, ..) to improve chromecast support for Mipad (yeah i need the cast screen function ^^)
You can also try diskusage app, it is great!

Is there a way to disable the HW keys?
When my kids playing with the tablet, they accidental press them... I would really prefer using the soft (on screen) keys only...
Is there a way to disable the HW buttons and use only the on screen buttons?
I would really like to have this feature, we have it MiUI ROM, it is really helpful.
Thanks for the good work! The ROM runs fine, the 20/1 build gives me no problems with battery drain or wifi connection. Gaming is excellent, I even got XCOM: enemy within working!
Only problem I encounter is that swiftkey keeps crashing. I didn't see that on MIUI. Any thoughts?

It works fine here with chromecast: DS audio works, Youtube and some other apps. Screencasting gives me the same black screen, but since screencasting is known to be buggy (and beta....) I am not surprised.
Does anyone have issues with writing to SD cards? I've tried several, but it seems that most apps see my cards as write protected. Strange thing: ES file explorer CAN write to the cards... I've tried a 16GB SDHC card and a 32 GB UHS-1 card, both have this problem. What is more: CWM works OK with the 16 GB one, however it crashes when trying to use the UHS-1 card. They are formatted in fat32. They work fine in my macbook and digital camera.
Anyone an Idea? Is this a CM11 problem?
Addition:
I've restored a MIUI Nandroid backup: Now SD-writing works no-problem, both SD cards. It seems to be a CM11 problem..
Addition two:
Ok the writing To SD from CM11 can easily be solved by running one of the "SD fix" apps from the playstore. This seems to be a built-in security thing from Android KitKat.
Still, CWM cannot backup to my 32 GB UHS-1 card, it cannot even format it. I could however use it to load an updated ROM. Probably a device specific problem?
problem with clock
I have a problem with the clock, it keeps crashing when trying to use the alarm or the timer. Has anyone experienced this too?

No issues with the timer here...
Thank you very much.
No screen-off
Hi,
I have noticed that either value of sleep I select (Settings-->Display & lights-->Sleep), the tablet will never go to sleep --> meaning will not turn off the screen.
Is this a common issue?
Is it fixable?
Thanks!
Edit: Issue is solved by a reboot...
Cannot Boot MUI
I did the exact steps, same issue cannot boot onto MIUI ... I do a complete clean, reinstall CM11 and do a clean install from MIUI, same thing cannot boot and hangs on booting...
I followed the steps from xiaomi . eu site
Anyone else same issue ?
Regards !
Insufficient storage available.
Hey, regarding the Mipad CM11 I keep getting the insufficient storage error though my internal 16gb has 7 gigs free. Any ideas? I've tried wiping cache and all and it happens if I try to install an apk directly from Internet as well.

Check which system you flashed at and check if it is selected for boot.
I installed CM on system 1 and chose to boot from it, I guess you should do the same.

hello everyone
browsing the forums i found out that there's an update that fixes a few issues (20160531)
this update doesn't appear to be available ota.
When i go into settings > Check for update (i have 20160419) it tells me the phone is up to date.
how can i fix this and get the update?
Download and manually install.
Look around the forum, there's a few threads that have download links, you just need to put it on sd card and go to recovery...
