So I've got BT enabled and paired for both my N9 and my N5. The smart lock is on my N9 and set up to trust my N5. It always shows Not connected and requires a PIN.
Also, I've got my home as a trusted place, but it still requires a PIN when I'm there. I've checked Maps, and it knows it's here. It even shows the word "Home" underneath my blue dot.
The only thing that works is Trusted Faces, but that's so finicky I can't rely on it for anything.
Do you have location set to high accuracy? It wont work unless it is.

My S4 will not auto-connect to my Subaru Impreza 2013. It requires that I press the connection 4+ times for it to connect, even then it will randomly drop out. I've read where it is mentioned to ensure that the connect with all visible devices is checked (it is), but the way I read the option is that it should be visible to devices it has paired with regardless of whether that box is checked.
Another problem I have had is with navigation. Sometimes it will not reroute or if I leave the navigation app to look at a message, or answer a call it will start to crash the navigation. I have tried killing the app and restarting (super cool if there is traffic...) but it will continue to act oddly for several minutes.
I'm pretty sure the issue is with the S4, I exchanged my old S4 with another and continued to have the same problems, even though my Nexus4 had no issues.

Any idea? (Sorry if bumps are uncool)
As many of you may know, for newer version of TS (at least for 4th List, May version devices), it's NOT possible to flick your wrist to show watch face since the Accelerator is DISABLED whenever screen is OFF!!!
What an oversight! A smart watch needs you to push a button to see time? What if when you are driving or have both hand full and cannot spare even a finger!?
(My Pebble, on the contrast, works great here!)
I tried to force the screen always on with watch face, it's great, except it kills my battery in around 6 hrs (airplane mode!) Not acceptable!
Thus, Here comes "Tasface". With this, you could achieve:
1. Let TS shows you time WHENEVER you LOOK at the watch! (well, actually when the watch is face up) or when you flick your wrist (You can modify this!)
2. Reduce using your button (if you have an Shortcut supported launcher like Smart Launcher 2)

maybe I'm seeing it right but how do you import the Taskface into Tasker?
When I tried I got told it cannot do such?
Cannot Import

Same with me, I can't see the xml when trying to import on my TS.
I did something else,I installed the app' shake' and it does almost the same thing without root..
The only minnus is that when you make sudden moves it opens and the battery drains a bit faster...
At this point I am happy Though
I use Awesome on/off with my late model TS, with generally good results, although sometimes it stops working for no obvious reason. It can happen when the watch has been awake very recently. And other times, when it has not been on my wrist for an hour or so, it still works and the clock appears as soon as I pick it up. I've not yet been able to pin down why it behaves the way it does.

I can't get this to work at all, did you change the default settings?

No (as I recall it) just tinkered with the degree setting for personal preference. But I get the impression that on some TS models the sensors work better than on others.
I have a Nexus 5 with Google Play Services v. 6.5.99 and I'm getting some strange behaviour with the Smart Lock feature.
When I initially used the Trusted Places feature, I noticed that when I drove away from my home, the lock function didn't work automatically. This is also happening on my husband's Nexus 6. I don't think this is right and believe the phone should lock when you move away from the unlock zone.
However, the main problem I'm having is that the phone won't lock when I turn off the Home toggle and have no customised places set up. I also deleted a work address in Google Maps and so this option is naturally greyed out in Smart Lock Trusted Places. At one point, I played around with adding my home as a customised place and have since deleted it. I also changed my home address in Google Maps to my parents' address so I could test it when I was at my own home to see if the phone would lock. Nothing seems to work.
The only way I can get the phone to lock now is to disable the whole Smart Lock feature in Trusted Agents, otherwise I have a phone which won't lock. The exception is after a reboot - I have to unlock it once and then the phone stays unlocked.
Because of this, I can no longer use the Face Unlock feature either.
I've read that some people are finding they have to unlock their phone when it should be unlocked already but it's worse if you have no Trusted Places set and the phone won't lock. Does anyone else have this problem?
I too have the same problem with my Nexus. Only way to enable lock for me was to disable smart lock or turn the Location service off
Glad it isn't just me. I set my parents address as a customised place and the behaviour seemed to be as it should be when I went there. It appears that the problem lies with the Home trusted place.
I have the same problem although I've never used trusted places. I have a smartwatch setup as a trusted device, phone is a Nexus 6 rooted
Just bought the second gen moto 360. Whenever i turn off bluetooth from my phone it doesnt immediately show on my watch that phome has been disconnected. I have also installed the find your phone app which tells you that phone is out of range when it loses bluetooth connectivity. The notification or vibration for disconnect usually come to the watch after a minute or two. Is there any problem with the watch?

Nah, no problem with the watch, it dose the same on mine.
There is due to this some kind of "power saving" feature either on the watch itself or in Android Wear app, that's why it doesn't show the disconnected sign on the watch immediatly nor the vibration alert sent by whatever apps similar to "Find your phone" app (I've tested quite a few)
What I found is that, if you turn on your watch's screen from either ambiant mode or non-ambiant mode (black screen) to normal mode, the disconnected sign would show up as well as the disconnected vibration alert within seconds, otherwise, it could take minutes...
It is kinda annoying if we wanna use those apps to alert us whenever we've left our phone behind or it's being stolen since it does not make any vibrations UNLESS we manually wake the watch face up
This kind of alert should really have been built into the Android Wear app's settings in the first place along with the vibration strength/duration settings (few 3rd party apps can do that pretty well), because a lot of us often find the watch's vibration is weak (well, actually, not that weak but too short), we know the purpose is to preserve the battery's life, but I bet a lot of us would prefer to not miss notifications rather than having a few extra hours of battery life...
Is it just me or does location-based Smart Lock not work? Basically, even though I setup my home location (I even used other troubleshooting steps where they tell you to setup multiple pins, etc)... but the phone never stays unlocked at home. Is it just me?
VS996, 20j... stock rooted ROM.
What am I doing wrong?
@schwinn8
After reading your post I checked my Smart Lock settings and I see that I had to re-enable them. I don't know why this is, but it's not the first time. Not sure if I checked when I upgraded to vs996 20j. I think it's just one of those things that don't work as advertised. Like On-Body Detection.
Yeah, I was hoping that I could do the same with bluetooth detection (ie, if a certain BT is around, then it would remain unlocked) but it seems even that option requires that you're connected to that device, not that it's just nearby. Very disappointing that all this still doesn't work.
