Bypass Exchange for Nexus Lollipop OS:5.0.2.
Tested on my Nexus 6. Reported working on Nexus 5.
new: add 3rd party ROM support (like Blisspop)
add Microsoft Outlook app support
Tips:
1. Please remove your exchange account first.
2. Please activate device admin for mail client in order to proceed, it won't affect anything if everything goes well.
3. Make sure your Xposed works on Lollipop.
Any feedback, please reply to this thread, and if this works on other phones, please also reply on this thread or email me to let me know.

working fine on Xperia M Resurrection Remix 5.0.2
Running 5.0.2 on my Xperia M, installed Xposed Framework just now. Not sure if it's working but see this post which shows screenshot of the xposed app.
Looks like it's an issue with Xposed for my cell and not this app.
UPDATE: Flashed a different custom ROM, Resurrection Remix 5.0.2. now both Xposed acc this exchange security bypass works like a charm. Thanks OP, was missing this ever since I moved on from kitkat. I don't like using third part mail apps like mailwise.
When you set up exchange mail it asks you to accept the server security settings, click accept. It will not set any settings but your mail will start working. Earlier I got disheartened, thought the app isn't working, so clicked Decline. Read somewhere below that it's supposed to be like this. Hit Accept ?
Is working fine for me on nexus 5. Thanks so much for this. Really missed this since upgrading to lollipop.

Does not work for me on Nexus 5 with Purity 5.0.2 ROM. Xposed is working fine.
Hope it can be fixed for non-stock roms. Really missing this.
Doesn't seem to work for me on CM12 on the Oneplus One.

How I know it works? When I set up my exchange account on my Nexus 5.0.2 (paranoid) I was asked to grant access to my work server.
Thanks.
Not working for me, nexus 5 current cataclysm ROM.
Works for me - Liquidsmooth ROM (5.0.1), Nexus 5. Thanks! Was the one thing I was waiting for to move to Lollipop.
Not working for me - I'm assuming this module targets GMail right? I have my exchange account setup in GMail and the module isn't working. Followed the steps indicated in the OP. Thanks!
EDIT: This actually is working for me, I was thrown off because it still requires you to approve Gmail as a device administrator. Looking at lockscreen security, for example, I can change it to anything including None and Swipe, options which are normally disabled without this module (the Exchange server's permissions are bypassed). Maybe in the future it will be able to disable it as a device administrator, but functionally the module is great.

yes, you need to click the active button, the way I did it is bypass the security protocol, so actually you received the protocol but fail to parse it.

yes, you need to grant the access, it won't ask you to change anything if every thing goes well.
Will this work with the Microsoft Outlook app? Or is it Gmail specific? The outlook app just updated today to enforce security profiles, and become admin on the phone etc. I haven't ever tried xposed, but if it's supposed to work then I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the hard work anyways!
EDIT it doesn't work for Outlook

Thanks, looks like it's working for me, but how can we be sure? My configuration doesn't require a lock screen method, but I'm worried about the phone getting wiped. Any way to simulate pushing one of these commands?

Hi all!
So I just bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.0 and its my first tab. I have a HTC Desire cellphone, so android isn't completely unknown for me.
Even though I do have a few questions, maybe you guys can help me with.
1)
I have seen many screenshots where people have different background for each screen. One homepage, one called music to the left and maybe one called games to the right (just examples). And it look really awsome, how do I get it to mine?
2) It says it can have different email clients synchronized, but I cant get my yahoo mail to cooperate with it - I have no idea why. When I try to add another mail than Gmail (which I dont use) then it wont accept it. I did wrote to Samsung but they have no explanation or what so ever.
I'm a new user and cant post any outside links. I found the guide at a site called androidspot - how to setting yahoo mail on samsung galaxy tab.
3) generel tips! I really love my tab and think it is a great machine and can, in some place, be a substitute for a laptop. And that is what it is. I do have the feeling I dont really use all its function or just half of them.
Hope you guys can help me
And btw, I'm from Europe therefore there maybe be som function I cant use, like Move Hub (Damn! This one would be awsome to have!).

Maybe you should try to get an OTA update from Samsung to solve your mail problem.
Otherwise flash a newer ROM.
BTW: Good choice for the tablet ;-)

To get that app, should I get into the app store or should I go through your link, with my tab? I actually had no idea we were able to download direct from the internet, thought we had to go through the app store?
What is an OTA update? I recently updated the tab, so I suppose I have what we call touchwiz at the moment? I have heard the word "honeycomb", is that another OS or same thing as touchwiz?
According to this site you need to upgrade to a Yahoo! Mail Plus account.
Or try this

opening this link on your tab will result in a question if you would like to open this like with the browser or the market, choose market.
OTA means Over The Air. but therefore you need to have setup an account at samsung. can be done under settings - about phone (or something - last option).

Does anyone have a modded stock email app that will bypass exchange security requirements such as that found on the galaxy s2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117452&highlight=email+security
Modding the app is quite easy and only takes a couple of minutes
What I would really like to find is the Email app that supports Client Certificates like my S2 does
This email app is really becoming a problem I'm able to sync my email with my Wifi at home and via 3G, but at work i keep getting security errors etc. Can someone assist with an APK guide on how to remove the default Samsung mail.apk and only run the exchange one?

I'm not sure what error your running into.
But my university exchange account didn't work with touchwiz email, it worked fine after using the aosp app. That and touchwiz widgets are ugly beyond words.
Here is how I managed it, i was quite surprise it worked to be honest:

I could be wrong, but the instructions in Bluemotion's link seem to be how to restore the stock HC email and calendar apps. What we're looking for is a modded version of the app that removes/ignores any security restrictions set by the exchange server.

You are right. I am looking for a modded version to ignore the security restrictions. The one for the Galaxy S2 works great.
I actually purchased an app for my s2. I paid $2 for Enhanced Email and it ignores all the security stuff. They have since raised the price to $10. I use it on my Tab, but it's not tablet optimized - though he is working on one with a tablet layout.

Thanks. I quite like the Samsung app, so will try and persever with this. I have got it working great on the S2 so it can't be too difficult on the Tab 10.1...
LockDown - XPOSED
LockDown is a security module for Xposed.
It allows you to add multiple PINs to unlock your phone. Every PIN is a profile and you can restrict certain apps from launching when using a certain profile. You can even choose to hide the apps from the drawer completely so the user will not know if they are locked out.
There is a free version for testing before you purchase the full module. Please verify it works before making a purchase.
Features
Add PINs that can unlock your device
Lock apps from launching depending on PIN entered
Hide apps from the phone completely while profile is active
Compatibility
Works with most ROMs that are similar to AOSP. Will NOT work with the following:
Heavily modified ROMs
Any lockscreen with quick unlock enabled
Troubleshooting
How do I launch the app?
To launch Lock Down for the first time call *#*#54321 from your phone app. This is the default launch key. It is recommended you change this key after opening Lock Down.
Dialing the PIN won't launch the app
Make sure you have a PIN set in your system settings already. LockDown can only be launched when the phone has been unlocked via the system PIN.
Reinstall the module and reboot your phone.
If you are still unable to launch the app please post your xposed log and a detailed summary of exactly what you did to try to launch the app.
The free version works but the paid version does not.
This is due to Android putting paid apps in /mnt/asec/ instead of /data/app/ where xposed can properly load them. Until there is an official fix for this you can install XMOD which will move apps from /mnt/asec/ to /data/app/. To use it, simply install the XMOD and then install LockDown. XMOD can be removed after LockDown has been installed.

I plan on adding Gingerbread support soon. Only reason that it is not in this release is because I don't know where xposed for GB currently stands. If it is stable enough I will gladly add support for it!
Now just to get a phone that runs GB.....
Any ideas for troubleshooting other than the ones you have listed on the play store page? I made sure all my lockscreen settings were back to default and rebooted but dialing *12345 just takes me to voicemail still.

That is very strange. I have tested it myself on a Nexus 4 running KitKat and it works. Try this:
1. Disable all xposed modules including lockdown
2. Make sure you have a PIN set via system settings
3. Restart phone
4. Enable lockdown
5. Restart phone
6. Unlock phone using the PIN you set in the system settings
7. Dial *#*#54321 and call it
cool, gonna try it
btw can it set to change the settings in different profile?

Can you please make the app accessible by a normal icon? The dialer doesn't seem to be working for me... im on SlimKat 3.0 gs3 VZW. I could see that you made it accessible through the dialer so another user can't change the settings but we can always just restrict the lockdown app from opening in a profile if it is accessible by a normal icon

This module replaces the smiley key with the enter key in message fields of AOSP's SMS/MMS app by altering the input type field of the app's message fields, the same way srelyt's SMS Xposed module does.
It should work with any 4.x rom that uses the stock or only slightly modified AOSP SMS/MMS app and with any keyboard that decides to show the smiley key based on the text field.
Download: Xposed Repository or attachments, source only in attachments
I created this module because CM11's SMS/MMS app's function to show the enter key instead of the smiley key didn't work on my phone. Having found SMS Xposed, I didn't like how it messed with the SMS notifications, taking away the action buttons that were already implemented in CM11. Hence I decided to take a look at the only feature I wanted from SMS Xposed and write this standalone module.
While I created it only for myself and will only update it when it becomes necessary for me, I still wanted to share it in case it helps anyone else.
Enjoy!
Tested and working,
Oppo Find 7 QHD, running CM12.
This is such an important module, the missing enter key was so damn annoying!!!!!
Thanks for making this! Definitely missed softkey enter

While I originally didn't plan to expand and maintain the app further than I need it myself, I'm curious whether I can work out how to do it. Since Google's Messenger app is closed source, I'll need to learn a bit more about how to create Xposed modules, but as soon as I have the time, I'll look into it. Depending on how difficult it proves to be, I might even implement support for more apps than that upon request.

I use Swype + Dragon version 1.8.7.1080700.34526 and Sony's Messaging app that seems to only be called 'Messaging' version 27.3.A.0.23
Nice module there. Weird thing is it actually worked for me once, then after a few hours I tried again and it didn't work anymore. The msg doesn't send by pressing the enter key. Instead, it will send when I hold the enter key and select "prev". Any idea how to fix that?

Yes other module have no gui so it's only globally. I use it since day one and it still works after 2 years without an update. I try your module now.

Yes I noticed that already. Maybe a button to enable all apps in future?

Just added version 1.6 with "Invert Selection" as a donation feature.
I really like how this module is app specific. Thank you for working on this for us. My only suggestion is to add some unobtrusive horizontal graphics to the list of apps. On a large tablet, the distance from the enable button to the app name, and the uniform white space conspires against accurate selection. A minor detail, otherwise the app is perfect.
Im having an issue with another app that detects flag_secure status and just closes if it's not enabled. Is there anyway to bypass this detection on android?
The application is for accessing a database of practice test questions for medical students. They are trying to protect their intellectual rights, I get that. The preparation you get from them is leagues ahead of the competition. My colleagues and I all have our own subscriptions and like to share information over messaging about what questions we thought were particularly interesting and quiz each other. However, explanations are extremely nuanced and retyping full pages or drawing diagram's, while useful, only encumbers our discussion style and risks trascription errors. Being able to screenshot small tidbits is therefor paramount.
Much appreciated and much prefer this module to others that provide flag_secure disabling.

Is there any possibility for me to get the APK so I can test it?

I've uploaded version 1.7 which fixes this. It was quite tricky, but it seem to work with your app now.
The app in question polled the LayoutParams.flags every second from a Thread to make sure the FLAG_SECURE was set.
Don't forget to donate or buy me a beer or two

Thank you Muken, I'll be happy to. Going to log on soon.
Just saw your PM, sorry for not getting back to you then.
@muken hi, the module allows you to take screenshots of secret chats on Telegram, but somehow he still discovers that there was a screenshot and is informed in the conversation. Could you take a look? Thanks for your work.

Thanks for your feedback, however Re-Enable Screenshot is intended to enable you to take a screenshot in apps that do not normally allow a screenshot to be taken. It is not intended for prevention of screenshot detection.
Could you add (Un)Select as well as Invert Selection?
Where are screenshots being saved to?
Screenshots work as intended by your rom or version of android. Could differ by build etc. Screenshots can be found wherever your phone normally stores them.
This one actually works. Awesome!
On Lineage OS v14.1 w/ systemless Xposed through Magisk.
