i just bought a xperia z2, and since saturday i have a problem with my camera: it just shows a black screen and it lags alot when trying to change its options. I;ve searched a bit on the internet but i didn't found the cause of this problem or the solution. can it be fixed? it is an andoird version bug? thank you

If your phone continue to act faulty you may have a defective peiece and i recomend you replace it

about repair via seus: my phone was orange branded and some kind of orange android version. So i flashed the general ftf file for my country. If i repair it via seus maybe it will bring the old nasty orange android version ... And by the way am i eligible of receiving OTA updates if i flashed other android version? @JOHNNYMED9: what do you mean by sony repair center not interested? This problem cannot be solved by warranty? Anyway i do not intend to send it because maybe they will reinstall the android version and that is somenthing i can do by myself

Try fresh install using the flashtool. Choose your own customization ftf and flash it. It works for me. Yea i got some lag the day i bought it, but now problem solved.

Is there still no hope for my bricked tablet?
If everyone is using condi's tool to get access to the ICS update, then there will be no zip file for me to flash so my tablet can't be fixed?
I'm running a UK device and am in the UK.
Condi's tool doesn't make impossible for an UK user to save the newly received UK's update somewhere before modding it and give you an access to that somewhere...
Just wait for the update, again and again (and again).
Condis tool worked fine for me and mine is a UK tablet and I am in UK. How did you brick it?

Try giving your tablet to service center they will rectify it....i had got mine updated to official usa ics firmware and losr 3g so I gave my tablet to service people they downgraded my tablet to 3.2hc and gave my tablet within 2days......
Ie if u cant wait for a fix or having a dead tablet beside you the above idea works good
It would cost me £70 to get it repaired.
I tried to add init.d support but set the incorrect permissions, I don't have ADB access.
I got so fed up with not having the tablet, that I went out and bought the Samsung Galaxy 7+. Alot better I must admit, but I still don't want a 349£ paperweight on the end of my bed.
If ICS is due out on the 31st for Europe, can someone get the Zip for me please in the UK?
My device has been bricked since early February now.

after two months of use My Xperia s has now the yellow tint. I have not rooted My phone bug i have flashed the phone with flashtools with another os since i'm italian and the phone is french.
can i take it to the assistance or i have TO flash it with the original os?

Its a phone problem, not software. Sony have acknowledged it and said they are replacing the faulty fones for free

Guys i bought My xperia sola one two months ago frm ebay...i started facing network problems for a last few weeks..i tried downgrading to GB and tried latest version of firmware available for my phone too...bt the problem still persists...when i checked its SI number i came to know that its imported from singapore (that could explain network dropping off frequently) and sony gives no support for out of country phones...
Can rooting my device actually relieve me of this problem?..

New one or used one? There is no issue reported like this before. Try another sim n check
try another operators sim and check to see if its the problem with the handset or the sim........ where as I dont think it would be a problem with the handset...........

Have tried using other SIM too..I am sure its problem with cellphone and not the network...u think rooting might help?
Rooting wont help i guess.............. rooting just helps to gain administrator rights as in windows..........

i'm having the same problem to with my sola. it just started last month. in my country, we have 3 or 4 mobile network provider. i tried to register my sim network to different network. it worked but its on roaming status... im not sure if im gonna pay for it. but i got the signal i want

So I have bought a sony xperia z2 from an online shop here in Romania and after I started to use it during some calls the phone just reboots itself .
The firmware build on it was ending with .55 . I flashed a .69 Taiwan version on it and had the same problem.
I returned the phone and bought a similar z2 from Orange Romania . The the firmware build on this one is .69 personalized for Orange Romania and I still have the same problem , the phone reboots during some calls.
I couldn't find other people with the same issue and that seems strange since the 2 phones are totally different batch.
Can anyone give some clues on this isuee?

I just got the phone few days ago and it has happened to me couple times. It also has very bad call quality. Everyone I talk to have a hard time hearing me.
my xperia z2 have exactly the same issues.
Some times reboot on calls and also but microphone.

Try this
1. Factory reset > if problem remains then do this;
2. Repair Firmware via PC Companion. > If problem remains do this;
3. Flash another stock firmware by Flash tool
after all u can ask for warranty service
However if u like custom roms u can unlock phone and flash this mod;

I have bought Xperia X from ebay in France which was a demo version. Earlier it was too difficult for me to remove the demo version until I tried flashtool. Now the demo version is gone, I am on Nougat 7.0. I tried several roms from UK, RU, TW and a couple more, but I am totally unable to see the fingerprint manager in the settings or even in *#*#SERVICES#*#* menu. I am currently trying to download Marshmallow version of the rom, the sony servers have taken away the older roms, and the other websites are very slow. But until then I would like to request here to please tell me what should I do for bringing fingerprint scanner. I bough this phone just for this fingerprint thing
It seems it's a hardware issue and it's obviously a pretty common problem.

Some users got replaced phones - this is cost of new unit. My was repaired with parts replacement only (this is not cheap but cheaper then new phone).
In your situation I'll flash stock ftf and left unlocked bootloader (no relocking or something). Then send device to Sony...
Also you can ask Sony if bootloader unlocked units are not under warranty when hardware problem like yours appear. Think problems with fingerprint scanner are not caused by software modifications.
