hello,
i just bought a xperia z2, and since saturday i have a problem with my camera: it just shows a black screen and it lags alot when trying to change its options. I;ve searched a bit on the internet but i didn't found the cause of this problem or the solution. can it be fixed? it is an andoird version bug? thank you
Repair your device via sony PC companion
If your phone continue to act faulty you may have a defective peiece and i recomend you replace it
That's exactly what has happened to mine, Sony Repair Center not interested, sorry £360 new phone. Let me know how you get on please.
about repair via seus: my phone was orange branded and some kind of orange android version. So i flashed the general ftf file for my country. If i repair it via seus maybe it will bring the old nasty orange android version ... And by the way am i eligible of receiving OTA updates if i flashed other android version? @JOHNNYMED9: what do you mean by sony repair center not interested? This problem cannot be solved by warranty? Anyway i do not intend to send it because maybe they will reinstall the android version and that is somenthing i can do by myself

Try fresh install using the flashtool. Choose your own customization ftf and flash it. It works for me. Yea i got some lag the day i bought it, but now problem solved.
Hey, saw an AndroidAuthority article in my research bout the phone before picking it up that said the US versions of Z5 and Z5C don't have the fingerprint sensor, the model I'm looking at right now is an E5803, will that have a functional fingerprint sensor? And if not, will I be able to flash the firmware required for it to work?
Also, will either model E5803 and E5823 be able to flash any of the custom ROMs on these forums?
And if I buy used, is the warranty still in effect based on the time of the device's first activation? Looking at a 10 month used phone at the moment, so would that have 2 months left? (which I assume would be voided anyway once I root, correct me if I'm wrong)
Appreciate any help you guys can give to a prospective Z5C user, thanks
due to legal restrictions, fingerprint censor is disabled in z5 series in USA. but its software base only!
you need to replace few SIN files from UK version of E6653 in the US version of E6603, repack and FLASH it using FLASHTOOL.
the sensor will work!
ref: ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/general/e6653-flash-e6603-firmware-enable-t3307158 )
between E5803 and E5823, its NOT recommended you to try transpose the firmware, whatever you find on these forums, try to be specific. the forum is about testing, so if you wana try frimware of E5823 (all bands) on E5803 differen bands of LTE, then you need to share your xperience, Like with the finger print sensor technique the user took the risk. /// but i won't recomend that, because if there is slight different in hardware or kernel! you might endup in bootloops or brick your device!
if you have bought second hand device after 10months, so only 2 months warranty left, however if the device was somehow activated by the vendor or authorized re-seller, ask for formal invoice and warranty card dated and stamp by the sellar according to the date you purchased the device!
I live in Canada and strongly considering buying a Redmi 3 Pro although the whole bootloader unlocking procedure is putting me off somewhat.....
First though i'd have to buy one, can anyone suggest which sites to check out that are reliable and trustworthy that stock this?
I also just have one question about unlocking, do i NEED to be posting on the Xiamoi forums to get my profile up to a score to get the unlock sms or is this unnecessary? Are there reports of people not getting the unlock code or being denied at all? Secondly to unlock i have to put a sim in the phone right? I wouldnt want to use this as my phone until i had it unlocked, rooted and CM14 installed so is there any issue using a UK sim, getting the SMS then doing the above before switching in my Canadian SIM? There is nothing that will tie to my UK sim on Xiaomi's end is there?
Just getting caught out with vendor rom that may cause you problems like no updates from xiaomi, I unlocked but I did create an account and had sim in the phone. If your going to unlock the vendor rom might be an issue, miflash to genuine rom then unlock. I'm using mokee rom nougat based on cm 14 and it's amazing. No problem getting the code came next day. Just told them I had vendor rom installed.
Hi everybody,
like manny other user, I've tried too update my H900 and didn't knew, that the Mainboard is from VS990. I used the LGUP flashtool and web_h90021w_00_0921.kdz stock rom from this forum, because I'm in Germany and won't get any OTA updates.
Now, like all the others, I am in the Android 6.0 hole. That means the device is starting but VPN, Fingerprint sensor and some other apps are crashing and I can't downgrade or upgrade or do anything because of locked bootloader and downgrade.
I will never ever use a LG device again! The software and hardware versioning really s...ks, you can call it bad engineered and bad managed!
Is there any solution to solve this problem and get a working device in the end? No matter which Android version, no matter if rooted or not, no matter if temperary bricked or not.
Just ANY solution of his issue?
Best regards
Evtoda Gi
No solution found yet!
anyone found h900022w OTA software?
Hello, I happen the same as you. I really regret it, but the tutorial never specified certain things.
Has anyone found a solution?
How much longer do we have to wait for ATT & T to remove MM with its mainboard?
I see Huawei isn't providing unlock codes anymore, so I've been researching options before purchasing this phone. Having a rooted, unlocked phone with TWRP is rather important, imho.
It looks like this person successfully used DC Unlocker for ~$4: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78665569&postcount=392
However, other people say "Funky Huawei" is the only working one, which is much more expensive: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78627440&postcount=6
I then see this post about firmware versions needed for DC unlocker to work, but for the Mate 10 "Pro" -- unsure if that also applies to the Mate 10: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/how-to/finally-unlock-bootloader-mate-10-pro-t3850111
Buying from here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Huawei-Mat...vHzekWP7zx0GEhBHmmrA:rk:1:pf:1&frcectupt=true
... I'm unsure what firmware I'd get & I don't know how much that would matter. I'm hoping someone could help clarify: does DC Unlocker currently work on this phone, and how much trouble is it...?
Thank you!

HUC? What & where is that? BLA-AL00 which is the "pro" -- so that may not reflect my experience with a non-pro, correct?

BLA is the pro....
HUC is the one recommend in the guide u mentioned... Just a DC Unlock alternative from same developers...!
For what I read... It is about the firmware youare on... Mine is old... I think if ur security level is beyond June 2018...u can be less fortunate with the HUC... But it is just 4 EUR.... If u really want to unlock.... Try it....
Only way right now is:
HCU by dc-unlocker. This will not work on firmware after June 2018 (check security patch).
Ministry of solution, this service might come back, it's currently down and cost $30....
FunkyHuawei, expensive as hell.
You can also void your warranty by opening your device up and flash board software with testpoint. This would allow you to use HCU while on board software. This is not recommended at all if you don't know what you're doing.
Edit: Hopefully your firmware is not updated. DO not update when you get it.

It is a refurb, so warranty is likely already run out. May you point me to instructions to flashing board software with testpoint, just in case?

It's using old bootloader so chances are high, at least
You usually get a refund from DC anyway.
I just hope it doesn't complain about Security Patch date without even trying.

This guy:
https://ministryofsolutions.com/huawei-bootloader-unlock-paid-service-html
... said only 8.1.0.110C567 & 8.1.0.111(C567) is "supported" for his method, and not mine (8.1.0.120(C567))
After giving my information to global-unlocking-solutions.miiduu.com, they said "Yes, order and wait for updates to finish", which I presume is related to their "WE ARE TESTING THE HUAWEI BOOTLOADER CODES NOW: AFTER TEST RESULTS ORDERS WILL BE PROCEED" message on their website:
https://global-unlocking-solutions.miiduu.com/bootloader-unlock-codes-choose-model-below
I also presume this is the same thing that has FunkyHuawei (still) down.
I did try doing the "read bootloader code" from DC unlocker (without buying any credits yet), just to see what would happen, and got this message:
Reading bootloader code...
unknown error (375)
I assume if it was due to not having an account, it would say invalid username or not enough credits.... so I'm worried this means DC Unlocker won't work.
So, I'm kinda stuck, I guess? I don't want to use the phone, since I will have to either reset it when getting a bootloader unlocked, or "give up" on getting a bootloader code and update to EMUI 9.
Hoping for any advice...
I had 8.0.0.129 on my usa mate 10 pro with December security patch purchased 4 credits from DC logged in and was able to get my bl unlock code.
DC Unlocker support came back saying "your error means that current version of android in your device has new security patch and is not supported yet."
So, looks like I'm already past the point of no return (aka no "easy" bootloader unlock code). My best chance at getting a bootloader unlock code is via IMEI methods like FunkyHuawei if they return, which firmware & security patch version don't seem to matter. My phone apparently is covered under a warranty, which I don't want to invalidate (which unlocking your bootloader does). So, even if I got an unlock code, I'd likely not use it for awhile. Considering all of that, and the desire to start using my phone... I upgraded the firmware planning to get EMUI 9 Pie (which I'm clearly not going to get via custom ROMs anytime soon). If FunkyHuawei or the cheaper "global unlock" options return, I'll consider trying them out... :-/

You had 8.0.0.129, while I had 8.1.0.120. There are more numbers than just the last 3.
I tried DC Unlocker, and it gave me an error that everyone on the forum said means your Android version is unsupported. DC Unlocker's support said the same thing.
I'm glad you got yourself a bootloader unlock code. I wish I could have... maybe if the IMEI method opens up again (which I doubt), I'll get one someday...

Hi @ante0 / all
I note from https://ministryofsolutions.com/huawei-bootloader-unlock-paid-service-html that they want $4 (not $30)
BUT
They are also stating that "Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, P20 Lite, Huawei P Smart (These models only supported if have older firmware version)"
I am stuck with two new-ish Mate 10 Pro phones that fail with DC tools. See https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=78901016#post78901016
I'm guessing my phone has new-er firmware and that's why DC tools failing
Any suggestions?

That's only for old phones/old firmware. New unlock was here: https://ministryofsolutions.com/huawei-bootloader-unlock-service-all-new-models-new-firmwares
But it's closed. It seems to be closed for everyone now so no go.
DC will only work on phones with firmware on May 2018 or earlier (In most cases. Some custs do work on June/July but that only seem to be the case with carrier custs)
So you're out of luck...
