Hello,
I have a Verizon Galaxy Note II (SCH-I605). It is stock running 4.4.2. I left Verizon and have put a GSM sim card from a local rural cellphone provider in my phone. The phone seems to work great. No issues with calls, sms, mms, or data.
I do have a constant notification that says "Phone Activation" "This SIM card is from an unknown source". Is there any way to get that removed or will it stay because it was originally a CDMA phone?
Thanks for the help! You guys are the best!

Hello everybody! I have the problem with my Samsung Vibrant, please help me.
The phone doesn't get any service when you insert you T-Mobile sim card. It says "not registered in network" whenever you make a call with it.
It get signals as shown on the signal bars but says "not registered in network".
I don't know is this a software or devise problem. may be if I'll unlock phone it will be work.

It could be that you have a bad sim card. You can call tmobile and they will send you a new one. Or you can go by the store and they will also.
Hello all,
I have been unable to find a clear answer to this question--I hope you will bear with me:
I have a Galaxy Note 2 from Verizon running Android 4.3. Before leaving for a trip to India this week I confirmed with Verizon customer service that the phone was unlocked. In Delhi I purchased a local sim card (from Airtel) and inserted it. Voice and text work perfectly but the data plan does not. The sim works when inserted into other phones but not in this one. The Airtel techs cannot figure it out. I have access to the APN settings under the Mobile Networks menu and have edited the Name, APN, Server, APN type etc. as indicated by Airtel but no dice. When I go to "Select" it finds Airtel after some spinning and when I select Airtel from "Network Operators" I get a "registered on network" message but still can't get data.
Is it the case that Verizon locks the data on this phone? Is there any way for me to unlock this from India? I don't really know anything about rooting phones.
Any help appreciated!
I also use the same handset in India and use other operator sim...no trouble so far in data

You need to configure the APN's, you can google it "AT&T APN settings" in your galaxy go to "settings->in wireless & network look for 'more'->mobile networks->Access Point Names" there you can add a new APN.
Hello Everybody,
I have a Droid RAZR XT912 and I flashed the CM12 ROM on my phone the other day. I am on PagePlus service, which doesn't allow 4G phones on it's Pay-as-you-go plans, which I am on. Also, the SIM card slot on my phone broke (The SIM card just pops out and doesn't click). I found a way to get 3G data without a SIM card in the phone, but when I install Lollipop it tells me the my phone needs a SIM card to operate and I can't text, call, or use 3G data. Is there a way to bypass this and use my phone without a SIM card on Lollipop, or am I stuck on KitKat?
Thanks, VLASP
Hi all.
Does anyone know if it is normal to have your Sim card provider listed twice in the Network operators list. As my Galaxy S3 shows '3' twice and O2,EE and Vodafone just the once.
Reason I ask is that I have been having problems with a new S6 not working with my new Sim card though '3' said it was fine.(I had just recently been in to have my sim changed from Micro to Nano size) So I'm currently in the process of sending it back. When I put the Sim back in my S3 it was doing the exact same thing the S6 was. Showing it was connected to the '3' network but dropping the signal all the time and going into 'Emergency calls only' mode. Manually switched to the other '3' in Network operators list and phone now works fine.
I could never recall it ever showing '3' twice so wondered if ther store had programmed the sim wrong.
Anyone?
Cheers
Mark
