Currently have the Orzly Flexislim case and like it, but it's just too slippery. Any recommendations?
Have you checked out the MJB reviews on YouTube? He has a lot of thin case reviews that are either clear or come in clear

Just received this case today: http://www.rearthusa.com/Nexus-Case-Ringke-FUSION/dp/B00O28BPCS
And I gotta say that I'm impressed for the money I paid. The back is slick but the sides have a nice grip. Keeps the phone thin too. I definitely recommend it.

Thanks, I'll check it out.
I've tried the spigen, orly, and another super slim case who's manufacturer I can't remember... I'm using the Ringke Fusion because of how slim it is, the great grip the soft sides give it, and because it looks great with a skin on it.
See one of the dbrand or slick wraps threads for example photos.

Neither are fingerprint magnets. I didn't use the Orzly long, as I recall it being the least protective case I have ever used. The Spigen was more protective and just as slim. The Ringke Slim was the best of the 3, IMO.
The Fusion is just about as slim as the Orzly. Slim enough I can't tell a difference holding it.
I'll post photos for comparison later tonight, if it would help you out. Should I?
Main issue with the Fusion, is the back seems to mark up fairly easily.
Ugh I don't like that.

Mine lives in my pocket or vacations in my coat pocket with my keys. Sometimes it lounges around on my desk / wireless charger. It sleeps on the nightstand. Pretty normal usage, I would think, and it doesn't have a scratch on it.
Do you keep sandpaper on you at all times? Just curious...
I'll take pics when I get some time tonight.

Fusion marks up easily, and is slippery especially on edges and sides and back....better than the Speigen in the button department and sliperiness...
I have this guy, and am happy with it on light-duty days with a DBrand over my Speigen and Fusion. Thin, grippy sides, translucent, and still decent button action.
Also attached a few of my Fusion

LK doesn't...for the photo of the Fusion I had to wipe it down inside and out to get it looking that good. I like the button action on the Fusion better, it is lighter and more clicky....LK is about halfway between the action of the Speigen and the Fusion-but the buttons are spaced and easily discernible by touch.
I will say, the LK was the first TPU I got for N6 then I grabbed the Speigen and Fusion on big sales....went back to the LK after getting the metal DBrand, just didn't look that good on top of the blue N6 back. Also the dbrand adds some texture to the dimple which otherwise is slick. You can just make it out in the photos above, the LK has texturized sides. LK also covers more of the margins of the screen than Fusion/Speigen, which is good for glass protectors that tend to be undersized.
OK, here you go. 35+ full res pictures of these 4 cases. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B38runv_KwLufmpHeHRNUV8tSWM1M2t6bnp4V1h0a0JabWRqNjZIZmFvaVBaUHR2YTE4Qlk&usp=sharing
First pic attachment is trying to compare sizes. Kind of hard to do, but as you can see they're all about the same width. Last pic shows the flexible TPU side of the Fusion case, all of the others are 100% hard plastic. It's this softer material that gives it a better grip than the others. Its more like gripping a rubber than a smooth plastic. Much better than the others because of that, imo.
http://youtu.be/mGylU0S5oNw
I didn't wipe off these cases before taking the pictures. Due to the lighting, the camera really picked up each little smudge. But, it is what it is.
Is there any "bumper" cases? I hate how most cases for the nexus 6 are called "bumper" but are full cases. I want something that ONLY covers the edges of the phone.

Okay I don't think I have to explain why I want a kickstand.
(with a couple people surrounding me and this huge gorgeous display... its easy to show off a YouTube video)
I want a Kickstand on my phone.
I don't want a bulky Otter box case. In fact I don't want ANY cases.
I bought the Clear TPU Kickstand case already.
I want to have a kickstand while preserving the Thin and Slim profile of the Note 3.
So I'm looking for a small kickstand that can be stuck on the back of the device... something that 3M could've made.
And I don't want a SlingGrip or the like... just a kickstand that opens and closes.
If I'm worried about protecting the device I'd use a bumper.
Or I would cover it up carefully in something like a 3M sheet of carbon fibre just like this guy did:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21223112
... and could use that material to fasten the kickstand tighter to the phone's back.
Another possibility is a battery cover which has a kickstand built in.
Any help finding something suitable would be awesome, thanks!
Google stick on kickstand and several come up best looking was at kickitstand.com
Thanks. Kickitstand looks good. I wouldn't want it stuck on all the time, though. I'm looking for something similar and yet different.

The KickITstand is pretty much what I'm looking for.
But:
1) Its too thick
2) Its base/bezels are pretty big
Its not more compact than the TPU Kickstand cases, so it defeats the purpose.
However, I think I found the solution !!!!
Buying a Scosche sticKICK I g4.
http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/scosche-stickick-g4-for-iphone-4/
Its a thin battery cover for the iPhone 4 / 4S with a Kickstand.
It costs $14, its noticeably thin, and just a basic apparatus.
I'm thinking of getting it.
Breaking away those excess plastic parts and slapping it on my Note 3.
Just need to find out if I can pay by PayPal and if they do shipping to Australia.
If someone can help me purchase this (not money, info) or a product that's similar that would Be Awesome.

I know your primary question was about a low profile kickstand, but I just wanted to point out that if you go this route for carbon fiber that the material is actually vinyl with carbon fiber styling. It's probably not going to protect the phone from anything more than minor scratches.
Have you seen these?

I had it for my iPhone and really enjoyed the case. Held up with my many drunk phone drops and the phone itself still looked like new. I would assume the case would still be awesome for the Nexus.
I just received mine in the mail about 10 minutes ago. And right off the bat I love this case. Feels great in the hand. All the ports are covered. Adds a little bulk to it but its pretty minimal. And most importantly it feels super sturdy. I finally feel at ease having this phone out of my pocket. This is my first Trident case but I'm pretty sure this thing could take a nice beating.

Just got mine too! I'll be posting pics in a bit.
Update: This case is very well made. The buttons are easy to press and also I love the feedback when you press on it. If you notice the back of the case has two ridges on it. This enables the phone to be used on a flat surface. So the phone doesn't wobble around while its laid down. Also it feels great in the hand. It feels a nudge thicker than my Ringke slim case. Overall, I'm very happy with this case. It doesn't add too much thickness. I can finally txt while the phone is flat on my desk. Button cut outs are perfect.
Is the rubber soft or more like a TPU? Does it attract a lot of lint? I don't like soft rubber than stretches out over time like he ballistic cases have.
Yes its soft rubber. The blue part is hard plastic. I have mostly kept my phone in my jacket pocket. No lint issues so far.

The rubber is pretty comparable to that of an otterbox. But I honestly think it feels more forgiving. The rubber really feels like it would absorb a drop very well. The rubber is a little thicker than that of an otterbox, but overall bulk on this thing really is minimal. I would definitely recommend it. Its easier for me to hold one handed now too. Rubber gives it some grip where its exposed.

It def could stretch. Mine hasn't yet or I would have returned it lol but I could see how maybe that could happen over time. But it does feel like it would be more resilient to stretching vs the rubber on an otterbox. And it is that same material that does suck up lint. But mine hasn't really yet. I don't keep it in my pocket much so that helps. But I have been surprised about the lack of lint on this thing. I have the back one. I will post pics later.

I'm not sure I understood what you say (not a native English speaker, nor do I have the Nexus 6 yet, though I will most probably order it very soon): does the Aegis stop where the Jelly Comb begins, or does it cover it a bit, or does it leave a gap between the case and the protector?
Could you please post a picture of what it looks like on your phone? Making my purchasing list (a phone without accessories is not enough, even such a big pricey one as the Nexus 6 ), and will definitely go for the Aegis. I still need to make my mind up on a screen protector: I've not already been through all the pages on the tempered glass thread, but the Jelly Comb is one of those coming back much there.
I tried to take pics, but my camera sucks and came out blurry. But there is a tiny space between the jelly comb tp and the case. I highly recommend this combo. Its a perfect fit.

Thanks for the quick answer. Great news to me if the Aegis and Jelly Comb almost fit flush. If I read you right, you'd almost have to look for the gap to notice there's a screen protector (save for the speakers and other cut-outs)?
If you cannot get your camera close enough to zoom right on the gap (minimum focusing length problem, I guess: it's why macro lenses are made, but if you're not into insects portraiting, use cases requiring just those are not that many ), maybe a wider field of view would be doable? I'm essentially after such a gap not being noticeable in normal use cases; not after nitpicking if it's just as wide as a few hairs
Here are the pics anyways. It's blurry as hell, but hopefully u can get an idea.
I've been interested in having skins on my phones, but I've never had a phone popular enough for companies to produce skins for them.
The HAM2 is no different, but I just found this carbon fiber-looking skin, which, as far as I can tell, is one of the few skins out there for the HAM2. Does anyone here have it, or experience with skins? Are they more protective than cases? Are they grippy or still slippery? I assume the "military grade" and "self-healing" stuff is utter BS? The case I have now is a Nillkin slim case.
Edit: Can't seem to get the link to work for some reason... just search "ArmorSuit MilitaryShield - Huawei Ascend Mate 2"

I have that installed on my ipad. Looks pretty cool and would protect from scratches. Does nothing to protect from drop damage etc. Its got some texture to it so it makes it easier to grip. Three year old is watching videos on it right now. When he's done I will post a pic of it.
Well there is a crappy pic for now. Lol I have never taken it off so I don't know of it leaves a mess on the device after removal. But it has taken more than its share of abuse and is still in tact. No holes or wear and tear. And that's after three years of use. Btw the dark spot you see is water.... As my son had spilled some on the table evidently.. Lol

Use a hair dryer on it when you apply it. Makes it a little softer so it fits better. They ate really stiff. If ya don't heat it a little it will try to flatten out and pull off the edges. I pit few on HP touchpads a couple years ago. Was a pain to get it to lay down. Heat applied and it was smooth as butter.
As you can see on the touchpad it fits nicely around the USB port. Wouldn't until it was heated.

I doubt any case will work if you use the shield. Its very thick. That's why the iPad and touchpad are not in cases. It adds a surprising amount of bulk. I know it will not work with the trident at all. Nor the gell cases. Matter of fact the trident case wouldn't even let it start to slide in. It's designed to be a stand alone protection. But there isn't any real use in putting this on then a case over the top of it anyway.
If a clear TPU case fit, then you could still partially see the carbon fiber and reviewer on Amazon implied using with a case.
If you do get it and have a way of measuring the thickness of the skin, let us know. Otherwise measure case before/after skin .

Can I use MilitaryShield on a device that fits within a case?
MilitaryShield is ultra-thin and measures under 1 mm thick. It should be compatible with most cases, but it's also possible that the combination will not fit. That's why we offer the case friendly version for our screen protectors, which is slightly smaller along the edges. Check with your case manufacturer for compatibility.

Not many cases available for these ham2s. Used one on an iPhone and went through 7 cases before I could find one that fit. And it was a soft rubber one that would stretch. Crapola made. Company is always going to tell u cases may fit. Lol they want to sell product. When the wife gets home i will show a picture of hers with a case attempt... Not a pretty site.
TPU for HAM2 by Mooncase from Amazon fits perfectly. $5.99 shipped from China or Amazon prime. Read the reviews and stay away from crappie stuff.

Order placed, should be here a week from today. It'd be quite redundant to have the skin on and a case on as well, so I might go with just the skin if it's grippy enough. Will definitely post pics and a small review or something.

Looks nice. What was annoying about the edges? Lining the skin up straight or the skin not sticking? Feel thick? Can you drop the phone now and it will bounce  .

Lining up the edges was a pain. The instruction video made it look like a walk in the park lol. Thickness isn't much of a problem, I put my case back on to see if it would fit and it does. I'm not too convinced about dropping the phone though lol.

Funny how those videos make everything look easy.
What kind of case was it that you put it back in for fit? Cyclops, TPU, hard back shield, something else?
Have you ever put on a glass screen protector - if so how was it? I have some on order - hope they go on as easy as the video makes them look  ?

Just a hard back shell. I doubt the Cyclops would fit.
I always wanted to get a tempered glass screen protector but I didn't. Next time lol. Not sure, but I think @superbass311 said he had one?
I've always wondered about these cases. They look decent for the price. Anyone use these before?
I am pretty satisfied with Otterbox Commuter case for my S7

Armorbox, just the best protection I could find.
Tough hybrid case, very sturdy and fits the phone well.
However I did remove the included screen protector since I had installed one already.
If you are gonna remove the screen protector, you gotta be very careful, the hard plastic enclosure is very flimsy and can break easily.

Has anyone found an ultra thin case like a Calicase or Peel?
so far i can't find one. i loved the offical LG case for the nexus 5x. it was basically a cover for the back and had cutout on the bottom. all i want is to protect the back from scuffs. don't need a big case.
I'm holding out for the Ringke Slim to come out for the Pixel. It's been a perfect slim case for my old Nexus 5, Nexus 5X, and then the 6P.
I'll be using the Pleson TPU case in the mean time.
I ordered a pleson from amazon. It features some sort of dots on the back to prevent sticking air bubbles patterns. Get get on my s6edge with tpu cases today. We'll see how it holds up.
I've been looking for a thin case myself. I just put my Pixel into this case a few minutes ago:
Crappy S6 Edge photo
Amazon link
I was skeptical because of the top and bottom which typically are nonexistent on these types of cases but I'm very happy.

I was looking at this case last night! Looks like the Ringke Slim, which I've had in the past and loved. Was it tight when putting it on? My only concern with these kinds of cases is scraping the edges of the phone when putting it on/taking it off.

I just popped it out and back in to see and no it didn't seem to be too tight. I don't believe this is a concern. The edges of the case are also rounded and have a soft matte type of finish.
Good case option from Amazon
If you need a quick case at a good price, try this one out. I ordered it in advance. It isn't that special but does the basics. I think it is slim, but not ultra slim. Check it out until more cases hit the market. Different colors and styles are available.
Search amazon for this name and brand. $7.99 shipped:
Google Pixel Case, DGtle [Shock Absorbent] Anti-Scratches TPU Gel Premium Slim Flexible Soft Bumper Rubber Protective Case Cover for Google Pixel (Smoke Black)
What I need is something like the custom live cases from Google, but not at $50 CAD. I have a Spigen thin fit on my 6P and I'm looking for something similar, but not clear.
what you guys are listing and talking about are thin cases, OP is looking for ultra thin cases, like the orzly flexslim series:
http://orzly.com/products/flexi-slim
I hoping they will come out with one for the pixel too, these are really just for scratch protection and will offer literally no drop protection, its similar to having a slim on your phone but more flexibility as you can just put it on and take it off easily.

Could you post a few more pics? I'm thinking of ordering this case too.
Thanks!
i'm hoping to go with just a bumper case around the outer edge, because this phone is a beauty and i dont want to cover it up! that said, if i did get a full case and wanted to keep it relatively slim, i'm probably go with the diztronic matte slim case. i have one on my 5x, and it's been not only great at protecting on minor falls and bumps, but has held up extremely well over time. couldn't say enough about that case. looks like amazon currently has it available for purchase, but it's not shipping until 11/4.
I'm using this i love the feel and fit on it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LEAMYFS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

Are the edges the same color as the back (a matte black)? or are they glossy?

Thanks for the suggestion, but that's actually exactly the case I have on right now. What I meant was a case with open top, open bottom and open buttons. But not clear.
There seems ot be some confusion on what an "Ultra thin" case actually is. let me help you guys better understand this, and why android people want huge clunky cases baffles me, but coming from a lifetime of androids, then switching to a 6s, and having a fantastic case experience... this is annoying.
This is an ultra thin case:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JH87ZSQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Notice the use of factory buttons, it does not cover the bottom of the device, yet still wraps the corners so if dropped is protected. so far the closest I have found on amazon for my Pixel is this case from this thread:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M3MQCG0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Which I ordered, and will arrive Thursday.
If there are plastic buttons that cover up the factor buttons that stick out of the case, it's safe to assume it's not an ultra thin case.
Just got that one by Maxboost and I can confirm its definitely the thinnest "case" out there right now. It's definitely a shell more than a case, and it's a bit slick, but overall I think I'm gonna stick with it. I used some fine steel wool to give it some grip, and it feels better IMO.

Bingo bingo. People don't seem to get it. I settled for the maxboost also but it looks like decent space between the camera and the case worrying me. Calicase and peel are the leaders IMHO in this thin case space. Just no love for the pixel.

Thanks for confirming. I was hoping for the ultra thin tpu. Can you add some pictures of it after the wool treatment?
