I'm really tired of the black box/black screen glitch with KK 4.4 on this tablet. (If anyone has a solution besides flashing JB, please let me know). I would like to revert back to Jelly Bean, which doesn't have the problem. I know the stock images are at the myKIT_BATCHV1.1.x thread. So what is the best/easiest way to flash it to my tab? Please help a noob out! Thanks!

Greetings all! A newb I am. I updated to 4.3 today. I run apps that require my phone to be rooted. Can someone give me some steps or point me to a reliable link as to how to root (to stock) my HTC One running 4.3

[Tutorial] Root, Unlock, Recovery and flashing a Custom ROM
Thanks!!! I thought I had updated to 4.3...I downloaded the update but it did not install. Is there a tutorial for updating a rooted device (i.e., going from 4.1.2 to 4.3)?
HELP PLEASE
I have seen the nexus 4 unroot toolkit, but i need some help.
I have a Nexus 4 running 4.2.2, TWRP, and Franco.Kernel.
i want to upgrade the Nexus 4 to 4.4 KitKat, i never had the chance to upgrade to 4.3 because i was rooted.
I do not mind loosing my root, franco.kernel or twrp, i just want to be able to get the new updates that are being released from google, and OTA if possible.
it is super important to me that i don't loose my apps and data.
Sorry if the question seems foolish/dumb, i am not an android expert. :silly:
I will give this thread 1 more try

Update:
I have recently flashed the stock kernel for android 4.2.2, and by my little understanding, all I need to do is get rid of my custom recovery, and then I will be able to upgrade OTA without loosing data.
Is this correct? If so, where do I find stock recovery? Is it the recovery.img file inside the android software zip?
Btw. I couldnt find anything on xda about this.
Please help me out, all help appreciated.
Have a need for a 7" tablet and just realized that it is only running 4.1.2, but I need APIs from 4.2.2. Has anyone built a 4.2.2 ROM for this device? I've heard that Samsung has an update coming, but who knows when (if at all). I need to start some user testing yesterday, so if there is nothing out there I'll have to take this puppy back and look for another tablet that supports 4.2.2....
Thanks for any help and suggestions!

I have stock, non rooted Venue 8 3830 wifi only. Running android 4.3
I want to upgrade to 4.4 or higher to use screen cast on Chromecast app
Every now and then it downloads an update, but when it goes to install, has an error, reboots and is back with 4.3 again.
I search forums and all over the Internet and can't find any reason update would fail. Any help is greatly appreciated.
i had my tablet for one year or more. it has android kitkat installed from the factory (not an upgrade). but, i think i want to downgrade it to jelly bean. can it be done? Please help.
