I can't figure out multi screen in 5.0 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 5

In kit Kat I had 2 windows that would work independent of each other. I could view gallery in the top and have chrome open in the bottom. Now if I use gallery on the top and open a pix it opens on the bottom. If I view gallery on the bottom to view it opens on the top window. How do I make multi window work like it did in kit Kat?

Drawing on a picture you took

Hey guys, i know when you take a screenshot using the stylus it AUTO opens up and lets you draw on it..
What's the quickest way similar to that when you take a picture with the camera to just start drawing on that picture?
After I take a picture and i want to draw on it, i just click on the thumbnail in the bottom right, and that brings up the picture in the gallery. you can then long click the Spen to screenshot it and start drawing on it.
thats how I do it
If you're in gallery, click menu then more and then edit. Not sure if it works with other pic viewers.

From quickpic , touch the screen once on the desired picture to get the share option (the three dots connected by lines). Hit share and select "photo editor" from the options.
At this point you are at the same page that you would be at if you used gallery and did menu, more, edit.
Then just hit the tool option at the bottom right and select pen.
I'm running the ICS OnlyOne ROM, but I think the stock ROM will navigate about the same.

This is exactly what I do, although it could be more straightforward! The process is the same on GB.

[App] Write - a word processor for handwriting

Write is similar to other Android notetaking and drawing applications but provides a unique set of tools which ease the editing of handwritten text by grouping strokes into lines, much like typed text in a word processor.
Free on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.styluslabs.write
Write supports the S-Pen, although Samsung reserves the pen button for system-wide gestures.
Features:
* tools: draw, erase, select, insert space, and add bookmark
* move strokes and insert space in multiples of the page's ruling
* reflow handwritten text with the insert space tool
* insert bookmarks and label them with handwriting
* cut, copy, paste selection
* unlimited undo/redo jog dial
* pan/zoom with two fingers
* continuous scrolling of document
* customize and save pens
* user defined page size, color, and ruling
* pages can grow automatically as you write
* split screen with web browser to take notes from web pages or videos
* HTML/SVG document format viewable in any modern web browser (PDF export also available)
I'm not a regular Note user (I usually use Write on a 10 inch tablet), so I'd be interested to hear thoughts on how Write can be improved for use on the Note.

The items that do not fit on the toolbar in portrait mode (clipboard menu, show bookmarks, prev page, next page) should be available on the application menu. With the next update, the volume keys will be usable for prev page/next page.

Nice application! Thanks!
It would be cool to copy a document - so we are able to build some templates.

Good idea! In the next version, I'll add an option for opening a new copy of a document to the long press menu in the document list.

This is the best note taking app I've used.
The ability to select and move text is great.
I often want to add information to some I've written previously. On paper, there would be scrawl and arrows all over the page. This makes everything so much neater.
It's also great for correcting things that you wrote earlier.
My go to note taking app now.

I would love to try this app but it states that my sprint usa note 2 isn't compatible. Is there another link I can use?

Very strange that Google Play claims it's incompatible. You can download the APK here: http://www.styluslabs.com/write/Write.apk
You may have to enable the "Force Pen" option in the Input and UI preferences (only GT-Nxxxx Galaxy Note devices are detected properly - this will be fixed in the next release).

Text message air view issue.

Is it me or only certain text msg you can hover your finger above it and read the message but it only works on some of them?
Sent from my Galaxy S4 via Tapatalk
If the whole message fits in the lockscreen preview, then it won't work. Otherwise it should.
Exactly what I was going to post. The only time that will show up is when the SMS content exceeds the preview. If the message is more than the preview can display, you will get the air view. If the entire body of the message fits in the preview then you won't get any air view preview.

[Request]Note 3 pen window and Almighty Search shortcut

Dear all
I flash leak 4.3 rom on note 2.
And I install note 3 air command.
I would like pen window and Almighty Search shortcut to let other app can add to open quickly like sidebar app.
But all function in air command are not in the app list, so other app can't select them.
Does anyone know how to overcome this question?
Anyone can help this?
thx~
for the note 3
I'd like to have a shortcut to the pie air command menu on my note 3, i don't like to use s pen just for that it doesn't make sense...
It'd be great thanks
Well, I think it would be the most natural tweak to do and I'm sure there is already a Dev working on that.
Editing air command window or create a app responding to the same system would be awesome.
The is already lmt pie launcher that can help you launch any programs you want to assign it to and then there it's GMD gestures... take your pick

Tab Settings Launcher v1.0

Hello,
i created an app, which opens the settings app in Tab-View.
As you know, if you install an other launcher, Settings will be displayed as a list.
With this small app it will be shown as Tabs.
Install apk and hide the other settings app
Where is the difference to the stock settings app?

I have an option to change the way settings displays, sure this is available to anyone too. Just tap the 3 dot menu in the top right corner to change the view between list and tabbed.
update with images your post please
We all knows, 'tab view' is available, but he is referring the feature he has added with this small apk, that "enable the settings to open in tab view on third-party launchers" such Nova. So, you would not need to tap the 3 dot menu in the top right corner to change the view between list and tabbed. Also, this might come handy on AOSP based ROM(s), as and when Root on G4 comes and third-party ROM(s) development begins. Because, AOSP ROM(s) misses this settings feature, as it's only available on stock based ROM(s).

It works fine for me when I set the default to tabbed view and open settings from Nova Launcher, opens in tabbed view.
Regards to AOSP ROM s AOSP doesn't ha e a tabbed view option in the first place that would actua6beed to be coded into the ROM by the dev it's not a simple settings toggle.
Had to search for a solution. This works. Thanks.
I hope this would work on g5.
