Have service from Page Plus still active.
Always have 3 bars or better.
When placing a phone call, the phone icon appears with the animation working but no dialing sound.
The phone does not place the call.
Any ideas on what's wrong? Modem bad?
Been through all the menus. Don't see any problems. Sound works everywhere else.
Wifi works.
Any help apprecated.

Hey guys.
I rooted my phone and unrooted it. Now im having a problem when making phone calls. I cant hear it ringing until right before voicemail. So I call a second time and it works fine. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Is there a certain setting IDK about?
Ive looked around on here and googled with no luck. Any ideas would be great.

Anyone have any suggestions?
Hmm ... maybe try activating your phone and updating roaming. *228 option 1, reboot, *228 option 2, reboot. They maybe put it in airplane mode for a few minutes.
My friends keep telling me they can not hear me well for most of my calls with galaxy S3, sometimes my voice are like under water for few seconds. I got no problem with my other phones before. I cut my sim to micro sim, it could be the problem? I also rooted and changed to custom rom, problem still there. What else I can do? Im using Tmobile and singal are strong.
can hear you well then its can't hear you well.
try phone > menu > call settings > additional settings , and play around enabling/disabling one or both - noise suppression and in-call sound equalizer.
Thanks, I just made some calls and they got no problem.

Do you mind posting what settings you changed to fix the issue? I've experienced a similar problem.
I too have this sort of problem. Some people say I sound far away when in fact i'm at normal distance to my ear. I would like to know what settings to change to fix this.
new to the forum, and i couldnt find this question anywhere so SIAP...
Anyone having problems with their Samsung Galaxy S3 getting stuck with no network? The signal bar, however, shows signal and that everything is functioning fine. Im not able to tell there is a problem until i cant complete a call or send a text message. as well, incoming calls and texts dont go through. the only solution i have found to this is to reboot my phone...i run juice defender, and thats the only thing i can think that may be causing this, but not real sure...
any help is appreciated as ATT is trying to screw me..
I just replaced my Verizon S4's camera module. Afterwards no more voice calls. However LTE data and text both work fine. I can also see the signal bars and they are just as strong as before. If I make a call no dial tone no sound but it will say "dialing..." for several seconds before "hanging up". No calls are actually sent to other phones. When someone calls it, phone won't react at all. It's as if the voice call feature is completely gone. Yet sms and data are both fine. Speaker phone, headphone, microphone and vibration also work. Also GPS won't get a fix now - it will keep searching forever until I turn it off. I wonder if it's related to the no-call issue? What part(s) did I accidentally break during the repair process? If I knew what went wrong I can probably find replacement for it. So far everything else works. Please help!
Guys, I have a strange issue, 3 hours of IDLE time on my phone and when you call my number from other phones, it says it is Switched off!!! The network signal is full, strangely if i callback someone it rings, and then if you call me back, my phone rings normally!
I do not know what the issue might be here, I have tried resetting the phone, reinserting the SIM card. Changing the Networking setting to only GSM, but nothing helps!
This is not good, and it is causing me lot of headache, as I am missing important Client calls anyone with a remedy?
Guys .... anyone who can help me out here ?

Sounds like a network issue. Make sure you don't set the network mode to automatic/auto connect. Other than that, I can't think of much.
Edit.
Check your edge preferences and turn off any of the flip to mute functions. Also double check call rejection in Phone to see if it's rejecting calls for some reason.
