Hey,
I followed the steps and when I type the commands in the console i get the message "command not found"
I made shure the omapflash-lnx file is executable (checked the properties box), i can see "texas instruments" under lsusb and i have installed adb and fastboot. Any advice how to solve this problem. Something i overlooked?
RAZR Encryption unsuccessful error flashing firmware not working
So I bought a used razr maxx (at least thats what the physical characteristics of the phone indicate). Anyway I turn it on to get the EU message, I'm confident this phone was up to JB because the M logo did not say "dualcore" underneath it when booted.
Things I've tried
clear cache/factory reset (appears to finish successfuly but still get EU)
flash firmware RSD (started with JB and worked my way back)
-all JB flashes seemed succesfull up to last step phone reboots to recovery screen (dead android icon)
RSD says rebooting.

VRZ_XT912_9.8.2O-72_VZW-16-5_CFC.xml.zip
Note: fastboot screen says (emmc 16g)
-all other flashes from earlier firmware "ICS / GB" fails first at CDT I believe around step 6 or 7

-read this post and got the idea to modify the XML files https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho....php?t=1796712
-so I tried dropping missing files from the "167_2-5" folders into the jb folder "spyder 16_cfc" then copying the ics xml lines that flash those files and pasting them into the jb xml. Started with webtop, then emstorage (since the "167_2-5" file was like a gig compared to the 40mb jb file, I tried to put the "167_2-5" file under a different file name ahead of the jb emstorage file in the jb xml, I made sure to adjust the filename in jb xml as well. Also tried this with mbr and ebr files from "167_2-5" I believe.
every revision I made to this JB xml seemed to do the exact same thing, flash all the way to the last step then go to the android recovery screen, then eventually boot to the EU screen.
I tried flashing modified older firmware "VRZ_XT912_6.5.1-167_DHD-14_M2-5_CFC_1FF_01.xml.zip" original originally this firmware failed at cdt, so I drop cdt_signed in from the jb folder "spyder 16_cfc", and copied/paste the jb lines for flashing cdt_signed into the "167_2-5xml", still fails at cdt or in this case cdt_signed.
anyway I'm getting rather frustrated... heck I don't even know if this is a 912 anymore what if someone stuck a 910 motherboard in there haha, I would hope flashing would fail much earlier in that case. anyway I've been pretty much shooting in the dark here, this is above my head as far as editing the xml, SOS any help would be awesome. any flashable firmware for jb that would contain everything I would need in the event that says partitions were wiped/corrupted/formatted?

4G LTE doesn't work
Hi, I have a problem from one day to another I can't connect to LTE. Any idea about the problem?
Please remove this stupid 10 post restriction. I got my 10 posts and it's still not allowing me to post in the main thread. Maybe it needs 11? Argh.
Pantech discover issues
I have a pantech discover unlocked running ICS 4.0.4 and m facing following issues:
The soft keys work only 5-10% of times and I have to use button savior app for using phone. Sometimes they work normally and most times they simply do not respond at all. Is it ROM related issue or hardware issue? I have already factory reset the phone without any positive outcome.
My phone always sticks to 4G network and consumes a lot of battery. In settings there is no option to choose 2G or 3G network. Usually most android phones have an option to choose between GSM, GSM/WCDMA, etc. This phone does not have any such option in Mobile networks. Is there anything that can be done.
I am running stock ics and tried running AT&T update, it displayed an 248 MB update and downloaded it. I chose to install the update and it booted to recovery and tried installing update but failed after some time and rebooted the phone. Would like to know if there is anything that can be done to update the phone to JB.
I was able to find only two threads on xda for getting phone rooted and only 1-2 ROMS that too stock. Does anybody have a specific link to download roms for it.
I was unable to find phone drivers for Windows, does anybody have a link to them.
How should I update the phone to JB:
1. Running on ICS -> Root -> Install CWM -> Install JB ROM from xda thread
2. Running on ICS -> Officially update to JB -> Root -> Revert to unlocked ICS bootloader -> Install CWM -> Install JB Rom from xda thread
Any help would be appreciated.
Not Unlocked with Unlocked Bootloader
Hi! i am new here but i have been having some success. my unlocked discover was locked by ATT when i did their 4.1.2 upgrade. Since then i have rooted my discover, i have installed the clockwork mod, i have installed the unlocked loader and the checksums match. Unfortunately when i put my T-Mobile sim back in, the phone is still network locked. Has anyone had a similar experience? Is there a fix available? If I can download the custom rom and get a matching checksum would flashing that fix things? Any help would be appreciated. Hopefully you can see that I am trying to do my part.

Update and stuck on at&t logo
So, after much thought I followed the method two i.e.
Running on ICS -> Officially update to JB -> Root -> Revert to unlocked ICS bootloader -> Install CWM -> Install JB Rom from xda thread
Unfortunately, as soon as I updated it to JB, the phone rebooted after update and since then it is stuck on at&t logo.
The JB update overwrote my cwm recovery, flashed the locked JB bootloader and unrooted phone as well.
I can enter stock recovery and fastboot but to no use as the bootloader is locked and phone is not rooted.
I have tried wipe data and cache without any positive outcomes.
I have worked out following possible solutions:
1. Install stock jellybean rom via adb sideload as this is an option in stock recovery
2. Flash stock rom using PDL download software update mode, however, I do not have software for flashing and nor stock rom.
Any kind of help will be deeply appreciated.
Anyone?
Any kind of replay will be deeply appreciated.
How come this phone does not have stock roms available??
Also, a pdl download software upgrade method not available???
Is there a link for a flashable JB rom link or JB update link from where I can download JB rom or update and flash it onto phone via adb sideload!!!
Kindly help as m in a fix and moving around without a phone. :crying:

thank you so much
i have the sam problem as the OP, to be honest i'm not sure what to download and then flash the stock rom even if i have cwm and i rooted it - attempted to fix with ampc mini rom but can't install from external sd, how do i go about flashing the stock rom you linked to - also i assume its the stock file split into rar segments- if that's not what i should be downloading please advise me!
Are these files corrupted or am I doing something wrong?
Hi,
I tried to download the stock roms from the linked www-mediafire-com link. (by the way, a thousand thanks) and uncompress them, but I have a problem with them: I tried the three versions ---
namely DUMP_20130724*, and the two SD_RESTORE* available, and the three chockes when I try to uncompress them on file RESTORE_UTIL_20130724_STOCK_SD/me172v/dump/mmcblk1p1.img.
For example, SD_RESTORE_UTIL_201307....* says:
<code>inflating: RESTORE_UTIL_20130724_STOCK_SD/me172v/dump/mmcblk1p1.img bad CRC 41325ff9 (should be 2607fc6c)</code>
And DUMP_* says:
<code>inflating: LATESTDUMP_20130724_STOCK/mmcblk1p1.img
error: invalid compressed data to inflate</code>
Any hint on what I can be doing wrongly?
I am trying to recover a Asus MemoPad me172v (my daughter's one) which is refusing to boot with the "red triangle" android message. The clean procedure worked ok but still is not booting. Never rooted nor messed with it, so it's a bit of a mistery.

Hello, n00b post.
I'm attempting to root my phone using the following method. I've flashed my phone in recovery using odin and philz xwlsy md5 file. What do I need to do next? I'm attempting the following method..
Odin packages instructions: ready for rootThey come in the form of .tar.md5 fileboot into download modestart odin3 and configure it as in picture belowconnect phone in download mode to PC via USBpress start to flash the tar.md5 packageto root, download the root file from here (Method 1) :*http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1746794
For most (if not all?) ICS phones having a CWM image atClockworkmod*site:Quoteownload attached*cwm-touch-6.0.x.x-i9100.zipfor the i9100 Galaxy S2.*This is the touch version but it also works with volume up/down keys and power button to select menu.CWM6 is now thought to be probably safe for wipe, no superbrick risks under ICS 4.0.4:*read more hereI also attached the cwm6 non touch version and the*recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.5-galaxys2.zip. CWM4 is also confirmed to be safe for wipe byEntropy512*Recognized DeveloperFor other phones, download the cwm image from here*http://clockworkmod.com/rommanager.Put the previously downloaded*cwm-touch-6.0.x.x-i9100.zip*file on your*external*sd cardDownload the attached root file you want as per instructions aboveI advise Chainfire SuperSU for 2 reasons: it lets you unroot from within superSU application and it lets you migrate to ChainsDD superuser if you like laterCopy the*Root_XXX.zip*file you downloaded tointernal or external*sd cardBoot into stock recovery*(volume up+home+power), and select*"apply update from external storage". Now select the*cwm-touch-6.x.x.x-i9100.zip*file you copied in previous step (this step gives a temporary flash that will disappear after reboot)You get CWM recovery interface (this custom recovery is temporary, not permanent)Inside CWM, select*"install zip from sdcard". Then, select*"choose zip from sdcard". Now, scroll down to the*"Root_XXX.zip"*file and hit power button to install it.It will add SuperSU or Supe

So im guessing I use philZ md5 file then boot from the cwm into the root file? Via internal sd ? Is there an easy way without the sd? Thanks
Sorry everyone if my question looks noob,
I'm confused about what method is best suitable for my phone.
I want to root so to have full access and make a backup before upgrading to stock rom 4.1.2.
My phone: Samsung S2 GT-I9100 international, stock rom 4.0.4
What information do you need?
I think that I got all information about my phone but the whole bunch of numbers confuse and scare me a bit.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: even more confused now since my questions didn't appear into the related thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/orig-development/04-12-2012-universal-rooting-phones-rom-t1746794/page64

Hello,
I've rooted the mentioned phone with 'Kingo-Root', which said successfull and installed a 'Superuser'-App.
Then I've installed ROM-Manager sucessfully, but in the recovery mode there is no option 'install zip from SD-card'.
I also can't install custom ROMs, which I found with your website (for example 'deep ROM -zip'). It says 'signature failure...'.
Have I choosen th wrong rooting method, or have I to combine it which other steps afterwards?
I also don't find a cyanogenmod version to install for this phone.
I finally want to get full access and control over all permissions (aim is xprivacy or so), so to ocnfigure every app for my own.
What can you advice me?

This works.
I will help anyone whenever possible to solve their problems concerning their bricked players. If you can't get it showing up in Odin3 after the Unbrickable Mod, then I'm sorry I can't help you. Every computer is different. Just try to follow the advice. New links are available, so sorry for those that have requested new links! One of the links also contains the bootloaders for the Galaxy Player! Yay! I've saved all the files onto my computer so if a link goes dead, let me know and I'll put it up. Also, if one of the firmwares doesn't work, also let me know and what you tried doing with it.
IF AND ONLY IF you still can't get your player to boot after following this guide, let me know in the comments section what you did in the format:
1.US or INTL
2.What you flashed, with a link to it,
3.What happened AFTER you flashed the above
4.What your device does currently, eg, download mode, CWM only, partial boot, bootloop, no logo.
5.What you tried doing to solve this problem
If you do not follow this format, I WILL NOT RESPOND.
I had my Samsung Galaxy Player hard bricked and I thought all was lost and I thought I had tried everything but I started looking around for some help and ideas on what I could do to fix this problem.
The first thing I did was follow AdamOutlers guide for getting into recovery mode, and that thread can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1386669
Follow those directions and get back to this thread after you've successfully gotten it into download mode.
#Note: If you can't open the Ressurector, install Java onto your flavor of Linux. Then right-click on the resurrector, hit properties and check the Use as executable box or something similar.
*If you already have it in download mode, skip the first step!*
Okay, now that you have it in download mode, you have to get Odin3 for virtualbox. You don't need virtualbox if you can get it into download mode and if youre running Windows XP or higher. If your running Ubuntu or any other flavor of Linux, Heimdall won't work with the SGP and you're going to need virtualbox. The one I used and that worked can be found by going here: http://www.4shared.com/file/10JA2Dsu/Odin3_v183.html--You can get virtualbox for Linux by going here: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads--YOU WILL NEED YOUR OWN COPY OF WINDOWS FOR VIRTUALBOX!!
Once you have Odin3 running either in Windows or in Virtualbox, then go ahead and plug it into a USB port and a yellow box in Odin3 with a COM number should show up. If not, make sure you have the Samsung USB drivers installed in your copy of Windows in Virtualbox. You can get those here: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/MOBILES/Samsung/SAMSUNG-USB-Driver-for-Mobile-Phones-1560.shtml-- I had a lot of trouble for my laptop to recognize that my player was plugged in and I had other people tell me the same. I think that in Virtualbox there are settings that have to do with USB devices and getting them recognized inside of Virtualbox. If not, someone let me know. So once you get it into download mode using the resurrector, flash this, IT HAS THE BOOTLOADERS NEEDED, NO MORE SCAMMBLE FOR CORRECT BOOTLOADERS!!!!!!!!!!!!--http://www.4shared.com/get/VtAB8dCU/G70JKKE3_STOK_222RU_.html Flash the one with All-Low or something of the sort.
If you can get it into download mode (Pwr+VolDown+Home) then install this with Odin3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1863004
The first link comes with bootloaders and can get your SGP back up to booting. Once you install that, which is I believe, a Russian Froyo ROM, you must install from the link at the top, which is a stock ROM for us SGP that gets your home button working and is meant for the US variant of the Galaxy Player. It also includes Entropy's Daily Driver kernel and can get you back into CWM if you have a backup available. You need to be in download mode for this too.
BEFORE you install stock though, make sure your Samsung Galaxy Player boots! After that, flash the stock ROM back with download mode using Odin3.
If you have any questions, comments, concerns, feel free to write down below!!
NOTE: I need stock firmware for the 5.0 INTL version, if anyone has it please link it to me and I will post it in the OP.
IF I HELPED YOU, REMEMBER THE THANKS BUTTON!!!!!!!!

WARNING: Flashing a new ROM WILL ERASE EVERYTHING on your device! BACKUP ALL DATA including the internal SD card before proceeding!
You assume all the risks and I am NOT responsible if you lose data or "brick" your device!
Here's the long story of how I did it. DO NOT follow the steps! Just read them then SKIP to the end of this post for a download link.
--- Begin Long Story ---
1. First, I downloaded this ROM: MK809III,UH007B_8723bs_4.4_1080_20140924, which can be found at:
http://chinagadgetsreviews.blogspot.com/2014/11/download-android-kitkat-442-firmware.html
https://mega.co.nz/#!Z10mgYhT!SdubLh6SJZ1OYsyrCR80G8kaowNLAhNMbX1bNeIrPBs
2. I flashed the ROM above using the "RKBatchTool V1.7" (see bottom of post for links). After flashing, it did NOT work and resulted in a boot loop. Next, using the following ROM backup tool, I made a dump of the "system.img" of the above ROM.
http://freaktab.com/forum/developme...our-RK-device-(ROM)-with-the-new-RK-2-1-tool=
3. I then flashed the ONLY "working" ROM for this Mini PC (but 720p!), cyxtech_rk31_809iii_8723bs_141216_4.4_8g1g, which can be found at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/hardware-hacking/android-sticks/cx919-ii-firmware-t2972279
http://pan.baidu.com/s/1qW1A12W
https://mega.co.nz/#!JlFFnb7Q!LyFbSfdKp526zqSJHmuO9oKrP1romqKaInZc7ianO50
4. Using the ROM backup tool above, I made a dump of the "parameter.txt" file of this "working" ROM. Then I modified the parameter.txt to account for the larger system.img from Step 2, which I will flash in the next step. I then made a dump of all other partitions from this ROM, and packaged them in my new ROM below.
5. Finally, using AndroidTool V2.3 OR RKAndroidTool v1.37 (see link below), I flashed the system.img which I dumped in Step 2 (from the ROM in Step 1). Before flashing it I had to load the modified parameter.txt file from Step 4. Then I rebooted and Voila! I was able to switch to real 1080p in the settings.
--- End Long Story ---
For your convenience, I have created a new ROM. All partitions were dumped from the "working" ROM in Step 3, with the exception of "system.img" which was from the ROM in Step 1. In other words, this is a "hybrid" ROM made from (1) and (3)! As mentioned above, the "parameter.txt" was edited to account for the larger system.img.
When flashing this ROM in AndroidTool V2.3 OR RKAndroidTool v1.37 (see link below), first click on "EraseIDB" to remove all existing NAND contents (make sure you have backups!) Then select ALL of the following: Loader, Parameter, Misc, Kernel, Boot, Recovery, System. Put a checkmark in front of each one and be sure to choose the actual file from the extracted archive by clicking on the rightmost column of each item. Clear other checkmarks, double check everything and when ready, press the "Run" button to flash.
After flashing, you will get Android 4.4.2 KitKat. In order to activate 1080p, you MUST go to Settings -> Display and choose a 1080p resolution. SuperSU is installed BUT the system does not seem to be rooted. If you get a notification that the NAND Flash cannot be mounted, just click on it and you will be prompted to format it.
Again, if you do not have the EXACT device model mentioned in this post, STOP here and don't flash!

The various tools for flashing the ROM, and related instructions can be found here:
http://radxa.com/Rock/flash_the_image
(To enter "loader mode", power off your android stick, then press and hold the Fn button on its side,
while connecting the usb cable from "OTG port" to your computer)
If you use this ROM please share your experience by replying to this thread!
Comments and feedback are welcome!

Downloaded the linked ROM, used RKANdroidTool1.37 to flash
Gets stuck on the boot screen with Smart Box and the android logo.
Left it for a while, hour later, still the same.
Android stick is exactly the same as the one in the thread.
Any ideas?

1. Please check that your android stick has its usb power cable securely attached. Try to unplug it, wait a few seconds and plug it in again.
2. Did you Erase IDB and then select all seven files for flashing in RKAndroidTool? Loader, Parameter, Misc, Kernel, Boot, Recovery, System
The parameter.txt file is important as it defines the offsets of all partitions. Make sure you didn't skip flashing it.
3. What size is your NAND memory on the circuit board? Please look for a sticker such as "2G 8G" on the board.

1. Yup, fully in.
2. Yup, erased it twice in a row for good measure, then flashed, wrote approx 815000K, then checked it all, then finished and booted into it.
3. Exactly the same as yours.

Thanks for the responses. Are you still having issues booting into the ROM (stuck on the Android logo)?
If so, please try to flash it again. Make sure that you load the parameter file and select all seven checkboxes *including* the parameter.txt for flashing. Don't forget to Erase IDB first.
Your Android stick should auto-reboot right after the flashing is done. Therefore, it is recommended to connect the USB power cable (if you have a spare one) while flashing, and when finished, let the Android stick initialize for some time before unplugging it from power.
Let me know if you manage to get it fully working!
** Update **
An issue with the new ROM was identified and fixed as of 7PM UTC on 05/18/2015. The updated ROM containing the fix had been uploaded. If you downloaded the ROM prior to the date/time above, please re-download it from the link in the main post and follow the instructions again.
All flashing instructions have been tested on my own device and confirmed working.

Thanks man!!! I've downloaded the rom , and I'll try to test in my TV Stick tomorrow. I tell you after how it goes me. Thanks very much.
Thanks so much for posting this. I finally managed to un-brick my TV stick and get it working again, now with real 1080p!
I used RKAndroidTool v1.37, entered the offsets manually from parameters.txt according to your file and everything flashed successfully after hours of repeated attempts to flash various other ROMs. Originally I was trying to flash Pi****u Linux but thought I bricked the device. Turns out I didn't. Thanks again!
Which brings me to an unrelated question... has anyone successfully booted this device from SD card?
