So I've been looking around and haven't found this yet. Does anybody know how to increase the fps from 120 in the Camera app? Cause I want to record slower without downloading a app

In benchmarks my phone gives an average FPS of about 28-29. But I found something weird. After disabling Vsync from the Pimp My ROM app, if I play videos through the YouTube app, my FPS increases. It then gives me about an average of 54-55 FPS. This stays on until I boot my device. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? Can there be a permanent solution to this so that the higher FPS stays even after rebooting?
vsync disables the fps cap
Yeah I do know that. There wasn't any change even after disabling vsync. But as soon as I played videos on the YouTube app, the fps would go high. I'm thinking it was locked in my stock ROM. Right now on a different one and then limit has been removed.

I'm looking for a video editor with one specific function.
I have an LG G2 so can record in slow motion at 120 fps.
I want an app that will allow me to set the video speed at different times.
So the start of the video is at 'normal' speed and some is at 1/8 of normal speed.
You get the idea...normal speed leading to the bit I want in slo-mo, followed by normal speed.
I've spent hours hunting and cannot find one!
Suggestions?
No one? Really?

Any ideas people?
I've been searching the internet and this forum for a couple days now, as well as messing around with my v10. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to lower the resolution. I want to lower the res so that I can send videos via text. Does anyone know how to do this? Seems like it should be easier than this. Am I missing something???

From my experience and I ran a quick test just now, if you use the native camera app, go into manual video mode and choose settings, then lower your bitrate to L, resolution to the lowest, and fps to 24. When on those setting a 23 second video came out at 18.52 megs. When I had bitrate set to medium, resolution at the same (lowest), and fps at 30, a similar 23 sec video was 34.20 megs. Almost double. Now I realize that both sizes are still going to be compressed to hell sending through a text/messaging app so you could also try recording and sending a video through included functions of whatever app you use.
So I got a new software update a few days ago and ever since when I record in 4k at 60 fps, but only 4k 60 fps it automatically saves it in internal storage regardless of my preferred setting. Is anyone else getting this? Is there any workaround without rooting?
Same hereā¦ trying to get to the bottom of it!
I even downgraded one firmware back but got same results, although I didn't notice if camera app ceraion changes .
Can you check your camera app version from Settings-apps?
hello everyone!!
So i record a lot of videos using the Open Camera app and it is great but the only problem is that it can record a maximum of 30 fps .
I want to get 60 fps videos out of Open Camera app.
Now when i use Gcam to record videos then it allows me to shoot in 60 fps.
So this means that our RN3 is capable of recording 60fps .
It would be great if anyone can help me with this .
Is there any way to get 60 fps in other camera apps???? What should be done to achieve this???
What decides the fps a phone can shoot at??? Can it be tweaked through software????
and yes i have tried it in a lot of rom its same in all of them.
Right now i am using aex noughat rom with stock kernel.
not sure but might be related to camera2 api.
Having used the gcam app for almost two years on RN3, to this day, I'm still wondering why xiaomi hasn't implemented a 60 fps video recording option in the official miui stock camera app...
I have seen several thread here on xda but still i didnt get any satisfactory answers.
And yeah camera2api is enabled and working in open camera as i has all manual control that camera2api provides!!
