Has anyone gotten Gravitybox LP version to work on Moto X 2014? I tried and I got caught in a bootloop
Update: If you are caught in a bootloop and can get into Recovery use one of these options to remove Gravitybox:
Option 1: The Gravitybox folder is in /data/data/com.ceco.lollipop.gravitybox
Option 2: If you can get to command console to access this folder you cant delete it.
So, assuming you have TWRP you can delete the folder with Advanced->Console->
Code: rm -R com.ceco.lollipop.gravitybox
Thank you @sk8darr
Option 3: I also discovered if you go to Wipe in TWRP>Advanced>Fix system; This is will also fix it but it will also break the Xposed Framework installation
I got bootloop too... I had to go to TWRP file manager and delete the gravitybox apk manually and problem fixed

Same here.
Gravity Box LP is still in alpha stage.
Soon the developer solves that.

Yeah, it actually messed me up real good. Had to do a whole wipe on my phone to get back to stock, then had to re-root after all was fixed. Major headache !
It looks like we will get some functionality with the next update:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpo...-0-0alpha-tweak-box-t3037566/page25?nocache=1 at the expense of immersive mode and expandable desktop.

I suggest we collectively buy him one

The github links in his post are to fixes for the black screen.
I was just thinking we should buy him a phone about an hour ago though to maybe get full support.

Hello All,
If you are running a sense rom and having problems with google apps, YouTube, Maps etc with the google play service not installing. Well here is a fix for that.
How to Install?
1.) Download update.zip and place on root of SDCard
2.) Reboot into recovery
3.) flash update.zip
4.) Wipe both caches
5.) reboot
6.) update google apps, and install Play services
Hopefully this helps anyone having problems with this. I have tested this on vigor360, but i don't see what it wouldnt work on other sense roms.

Yeah...its just replacing the package.xml file in the /data/system directory. The reason people are having problems is the gms or Google Play Services didn't have permission in that file or more simple put all the gms lines are missing from the file So when you went to install it. It checks the file and because the gms stuff isn't there it denies it or you get that shared id error. All this file does is add the gms lines needed for Google services nothing else is changed or modded.

Can you give more information...what ROM are you running, what carrier, are you running any mods or scripts, anything that might give a clue as to why this change might cause your symptoms. I'm interested in reloading some of the older ROMs on a couple spare Rezounds I have (just for the hell of it really) so I'm interested in your experience but I need more information.
Are you sure you had a good download?
Any more information would be a start...

Haha, I read your post before the post above it and wondered what about my post made you so "tired of the bull." I'm on sun_dreams ICS 4.04 Sense4+ ROM. Not the version posted in the forum, but an earlier version from May. Verizon. Sure, I've got a bunch of init.d scripts, but I just looked through all of them...nothing that I think would influence this. Here's my packages.xml: https://www.dropbox.com/s/px2hg2gp4wj6eyz/packages.xml

Yup that's what needs to happen. The thing is they need to go in a certain area within the file so I'm doing a little testing to make sure it doesn't screw up. Theres one other thing I'm gonna try is using the permissions folder and creating a separate file and add it to that directory instead of the package.xml

LG Update Center Force Closes when trying to update LG Apps
FIX:
Method 1:
Use Flashable zip to toggle between EU and US build.prop
It will detect what build.prop you currently have and swap it.
Note: If you have made any other changes to your build.prop, they will be lost using this. Use the other manual method instead.
Download and Flash LG-V500_KOT49I.V50018a_buildprop-toggle.zip in TWRP Recovery
Reboot
Update All LG Apps in LG Update Center
Flash the same LG-V500_KOT49I.V50018a_buildprop-toggle.zip in Recovery again to revert to US
Reboot
Method 2:
Using Root Explorer or BuildProp Editor from Play Store, change the following properties:
Code:
ro.product.locale.region=EU
ro.build.target_country=CIS
ro.build.target_region=EU
Reboot
Update All LG Apps in LG Update Center
Using Root Explorer or BuildProp Editor from Play Store, change the following entries back:
Code:
ro.product.locale.region=US
ro.build.target_country=NA
ro.build.target_region=NA
Reboot

Just noticed LG Update Center force closes.. Weird because it updated a few apps first, now it refuses to open.
Doesn't seem to affect any of the LG apps though... they are running just fine.
If i'm not the only one seeing this behavior I'll add it to the list of Known Issues and try and find a fix.

Hello all, I'm on D855,and after few attempts I managed to get Xposed working. I had issues with SDK 21 thing.
Now its working but can't se 'table thing' on there. It just says 'version 74 is active' with no possibility to press Install/Update. There is screen shot. Is this behavior normal for xposed, or I did something wrong?
Thanks.
Sorry, posted it here instead of general. And now don't know how to delete it...
Sorry.

mrpi64 said:
if you installed the xposed installer apk, then that's one step done. but, unless you haven't flashed the xposed SDK zip yet, you'll need to do that - it's the (or at least probably the easiest) way to install xposed. flash it with a custom recovery or whatever else you have, and after a reboot you should see that it tells you the SDK is installed, and from there you can browse and pick modules from the repo.
I'm not sure if that answers your question (was in a bit of a hurry so skimmed read it incorrectly so no, it doesn't answer the question ), but in general (at least for me), those buttons are blanked out, and I do everything by flashing.

just to confirm, here's a screenshot of my device. maybe it's the device itself or something's been configured so that the xposed installer cannot modify the SDK installation. but, like I said, it's normal for me and even if it wasn't the most normal thing you can always perform the operations through recovery anyway

I think now I can Root. Because my phone now have another rom . I got this new rom from official Jio Care . I went there because I bricked my device when tried to flash a recovery found from the internet. I tried this flashing because the 'factory test mode' was gone after I tried to root with king root .it was showing a 'no command' error when I am trying to go to 'factory test mode' I did that flashing only to restore that. But it ended in a bricked device. So I had to go there and they helped me. I also asked them for stock rom but they didn't give me. I didn't check king root yet with this rom. But I don't clearly think which I had before. I guess that was Ls 4007.

So have you uninstalled all those bloatwares from your phone .?
If you did so , you had any problems because of the so-called system app removal?.
I'm asking this because I used to disable all those useless system apps , but as a result this phone was restarting frequently without my knowledge. So I did suspect this app disabling and so I restored all these disableed apps. And then the problem solved. You had any issues like this,?
Now I heard about an bloatware removal tool and I wish to try that to get a rid of this bloatwares.
What you say?

I'm asking this because I used to disable all those useless system apps , but as a result this phone was restarting frequently without my knowledge. So I did suspect this app disabling and so I restored all these disableed apps. And then the problem solved. You had any issues like this,?
Now I heard about an bloatware removal tool and I wish to try that to get a rid of this bloatwares.
What you say?

Yes I have removed much bloatware applications. But first let me know which system apps you want to uninstall so that I can guide you for apps which can cause bootloop after uninstalling. But Don't worry

I want remove
Google keyboard
Play newsstand
Play music
play movies
play books
Hangouts
Google Plus
Jio drive
Slides
Sheets
Docs
Google Chrome etc.
I'm a little worried because I don't have any stock rom backup so if something went wrong like something I mentioned in the above post , I have to go again the LYF Care . So you please just check whether all those apps mentioned above are removed or not.
If you still have any apps mentioned above just take it's backup apk using SD Maid and uninstall those apps. So that you can check whether any system instability arises due to the uninstallation.
Please check right now and tell me. I'm waiting for your reply.

No .There will be no issues. I will suggest you uninstalling through lucky patcher.I found it best for such operations. You may encounter 'unfortunately stopping pop-up messages of applications' .so don't worry just restart your device.I did the same

You would probably be doing so for freeing up some system space.I will suggest you to update app to system(apps like play store, play services and some other useful system apps keep the original system stock app even if you update the application). So you should integrate update to system which will remove the old system app by updated one so you will have much more free space and whenever you factory reset your device ,you will get the updated system apps installed.

I have downloaded those files you have uploaded. I have a few questions about it.
Did you ever tried to flash it to phones other than yours. ?
If you have done it, did you flash it using just fastboot or used any other special software?
You have also provided a twrp recovery. But that recovery doesn't have boot.img and system.img missing. That doesn't seems okay . Are you sure about it ? Please check it.
How did you root your device?
I been trying Kingroot for a while but it's not working for me.
My build number is LYF_LS_01_12
I am also planning to build a custom ROM based on the stock ROM because in the latest update, they made the icons look really ugly . Also it will be a practice for me learn custom ROMing.
But before I proceed, your suggestions would be helpful for me.
So please make some time to answer those questions above.
Once again thank you very much for your effort to upload those files with that slow connection.
Very thank full to you

Not flashable ????
I'm no developer yet but I thought you are. I was so happy when I see those files. It's sad when you says not flashable.
But okay , I am learning about flashing and custom ROMing and I will do my level best to help you guys.
I will be soon starting a new thread with full details about those files given by you. Let's see what Devs here talks about it. I really need to root and custom ROM it. Only problem is that I don't have any other phone for testing. I got only this one for all of my needs. I thought you already flashed it in your phone.
Anyway, thanks for your help and let's see what I can do.
Bye. See you .

On Android 9 or earlier? I just tried it on PQ3A.190801.002 and the option will not appear for me in the Gestures settings.

Do you have Viper installed? If so unistall it and it will work. If you need Viper roll back to a previous version. It doesn't play well with v2.7

Mmmm ok. I have found that Viper interferes with some of the modules. All I can say to you is to is to start the process of elimination with your modules and start unistalling them and reinstalling and check by pressing the power button to see if the cards appear. Obviously keeping the card & passes module in Magisk though.

Luckily I did not have many modules to work through, unluckily removing them did not solve the issue. I'll keep fiddling with things and let you know if anything fixes this.

Bizzare. I'm out of ideas. Viper 2.7 was the one that was causing me the issue. I hope you can get it resolved.

Same here, thanks for the advice though. I'll be sure to let you know if I get it running.
Do you suppose it could be my SQLite binary? Currently I have sqlite3 from TitaniumBackup.
Edit: Doesn't appear to be that. Removed all of my Titanium files and added a new sqlite3 to my bin without success.
