double battery life - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Accessories

I have the poetic battery case, and I wanted to buy a replacement battery and stick it behind the case so that I could really go all day without having to plug in or carry around an awkward gigantic battery, but have it inside the case. I'm pretty handy and found where to buy the battery. I need to figure out how to wire the device to charge, anyone know where I can find some info on how to do it? I kinda have an idea but don't want to mess anything up. I think using the existing case and the flat tablet battery is really the way to go.

Have you seen these ? Might be easier

Sounds like the OP doesn't want to carry external packs separately . . state's that in the first sentence.
I carry around an E4 and love it but clearly I am not in need of the type of battery life the OP is looking for. I typically never need my E4, its just in my bag for peace of mind.

Interesting. Mine lasts 16 hours when I'm watching films, per charge. (I managed to watch the entire LOTR Extended trilogy on it in one go) When I'm reading comics it only does about 1% per 30 minutes.
Personally I prefer a powerpack, for those days when I don't have access to a charger overnight.

if you have ever see a tablet battery, they are 3mm thin they can fit behind the case without adding the heft that the anker ones do. Ps I own 5 different size anker batteries

I use full brightness and multitask all day, I get close to 7 hours, but I want more and don't mind too much weight. Here is what it could look like.

"Sounds like the OP doesn't want to carry external packs separately . . state's that in the first sentence" ... LOL, yes, I saw that. Short of the OP having some great tools and a lot of skill, they probably aren't going to be doing surgery on the tablet to replace the battery, so I tried to come up with an alternative. Maybe I'm wrong, and they have the skills and tools to pull it off... just trying to be helpful.

Have a look at MoKo 15000mAh Ultra-Thin Battery Bank (it's on Amazon but I'm not allowed to post links yet). It's pretty thin and decent capacity too.

[Q] How much thicker is the extended case?

Hi,
I'm getting my Pro2 today and since I'm very worried about battery life (I hope to be using the TP2 A LOT), I was wondering how much an extended case adds to the phone.
This is what I had in mind (German Ebay but I think you know what I mean from the picture there):
http://cgi.ebay.de/Power-Akku-Li-Io...4579?pt=DE_PDA_Zubehör_KM&hash=item53e279e3e3
Does anybody have such a case for an extended battery? How comfortably can you carry the phone in your back pocket compared to the normal case?
Thanks in advance!
I don't know if I would bother with a case like that (it looks like it'll make the phone about 50% thicker). With the stock battery, it lasts more than long enough for me to get through the day, so all I have to do is plug it in each night. What I'd do is just see how long it lasts you for the first week or so then decide if you want to get an extended battery, HTC makes an extended battery and cover so I'd look into that rather than a third party one.

If you think the phone is fat now, don't try it. It makes it bulkier but also a bit uglier (and i have yet to see a silicon type 2-piece case for the extended back cover (how are you going to protect it after install the extended stuff?))
Wait and see if the normal battery suits you , then if yes just go out and buy another one plus battery charger from ebay and you are set! If not, well it doesn't really give you a choice. You are going for the extended.

After all the purchases i have inside ebay and seeing the prices of the original models, i'd be nuts to prefer the official against the oem from a seller with proven history!
Thanks for your replies!
The extended case does indeed look ugly, so I'm holding off buying one for now. However, despite my light use so far (I need to get the data connections turned off first), it does feel like the battery doesn't last long at all, especially compared to my good old K750i, which I could use to play mp3s for literally days (which I wasn't expecting with the TP2, of course, but still - that was really nice).
I'll wait and see, I guess. But since the docking station, which I also got from ebay, doesn't seem to recharge the battery fast enough, I might have to look for a solution soon.
I have also seen a 1750 mah battery that isn't bigger at all. It fits underneath your existing case, and it is an improvement of 250mah.
I cannot post links atm. Just google "Seidio Inno 1750mAh Extended Life Battery " and find it on amazon. It costs about 50 dollars.

Hmm, $50 is a little too much for my taste, since I paid only little more that $100 for the whole phone and there are plenty of batteries for less than $20 out there.
I have the extened back and battery. Well worth it if you use the phone alog like I do. with the OE battery I was getting down to less than 20% battery life in not time at all. Now I get down to around 50% by days end.
Google HTC and 74H01486-01M (the part number for the OEM HTC extended back) they cost $12.95 (USD)
When I set the extened back next to the phone with the OEM back on it, the extened back is as tall as the original phone, so it is adding about 1/2 inch to the thickness.
Don't expect to find a case for it either, I have had my phone for 1 year and have yet to find a case that it fits in. I have an old worn out one that was stretched that I can get it into.
@wooptyone: Thanks for sharing! I am back to considering the extended case as well since I will be reading a lot of ebooks with the TP2 and the battery does indeed go down pretty quickly. Also, I discovered that I'm not using a case anyway since I have the phone in my chest pocket all the time. The only downside is the docking station that I bought for it, but since that isn't working as intended (apparently the current isn't enough to load the phone while also acting as a USB port ), the extended case so look attractive right now.
Sadly though I can't find the case you mentioned in Europe and S/H would double the price.

New Mugen Power Extended battery in! Photos!

Just received this today, it's charging now so I will update when I have some battery usage stats.
It actually feels good in the hand, I usually use a rubber case with the Note anyway. It has the NFC antenna and the kickstand!
Nice! I was thinking of buying one. I'll be looking forward to seeing battery usage stats!

So far my only complaint is that the phone and case is very slippery (i'm used to the silicone case) so it slides easily out of my pocket and onto the floor. I may investigate pouring my own silicone case mold of some kind.
Just to make sure i'm getting the same one that you have took pictures of, is this it? i don't see a single picture on the website.

Why not just use a second battery and swap? I hate how fat it is.
Do not want to hijack the topic but seidio batteries are equally good , if not better
and cheaper

Except with a horrible horrible hump.
The Mugen looks too thick for my tastes but the Seidio one is horrible beyond measure.
Looking at the Seido battery, it is $20 cheaper, but also 400ma less than the other one. Not sure how much 400ma equals in terms of usable time, maybe 30-45 mins? I just wish the Seido case didn't look chopped in half. Mugen case is at least uniform.

I actually don't mind the thickness -- it fits well into my hand, gives the phone some "fill". I usually use a case with the phone anyway, so it's not much thicker than that.
Obviously, extended batteries aren't for everyone. I actually do have a 2nd battery but then I need a place to carry it, and I don't just want it banging around in my pocket.
Another problem is that to swap batteries, you need to pry off the case, pull the flimsy OEM back cover, take out the battery and put the new one in, shutting down your phone in the process. Then you have to repower the phone, reapply the cover, reapply the case, and you've lost whatever you were doing in the interim.
Having more than double the battery power that's just "always there" is a much better option for me, but I haven't fully made up my mind yet.

Very good point I also do have 2 batteries as well and switching between batteries is kind of annoying. So what kind of screen on times are getting and what's your battery life looking like towards the end of the day?

It's too early to tell but I took it off the charger around 4pm yesterday, and it's now 9am and I'm at 78%.
Once I am down near the end of the battery I will post some BBB screens.
I like the looks of this battery cover MUCH more than the one I have now for my extended battery. This looks so much more professional that the "warts" that the other manufactures have made to accommodate the NFC antenna. Very cool design to get the antenna in there.
Plus, this one gives more room for my Qi Wireless Charging project I want to work on...
just purchased mine. i "liked" them on facebook and got 7% off.
guess i gotta sell my black seidio active case and my tryit black leather flip case now. pm me if you are interested.
21 hours on the battery now . It's still the first charge so these numbers will probably change, but it's at 75%.
Here is BetterBatteryStats:
1. What is the blue strip across the top in the first picture?
I think I see, this is the kickstand.
2. Why is there a sticker covering the entire back of the cover (I think in pic 3)?
3. Does NFC work with this battery?
4. Is the kickstand part of the replacement case?
5. Does it replace only the back battery cover?
6. Can you snap another photo showing the battery actually in the phone without the cover?
7. From what it looks like, it makes the phone about twice as thick... is that about right?
8. Is it heavier?
Im not meaning to be a pain, Im very much considering picking up an extended battery and my experience with Seido batteries has been very positive but I think I like the design of this better than the Seido, I just want to make sure.
FYI, $92 on Amazon...

So here you can see the stats for today. 11 hours on the battery, moderate use, 1 h 11 m of screen-on time, some bluetooth, short phone calls. On the stock battery, I'd be down around 50 or 40%, but I am at 75% on this.
It's got a TON of power.

samsung portable battery pack

Apparently I won a Samsung battery pack for being in first 1000 people bought note 3. i had an extended battery with my old note and i was planning to buy with this too. I haven't got used a battery pack before bu i guess it would be problematic to carry two separate devices in summer. Has anyone used them and is it easy to use in daily basis.
PS: i don't carry bags or wear jackets.

it's thick and slightly heavy as you would assume. this isn't exactly something you'd carry freely in your pocket. so in most circumstances, this is something you'd carry around with you normally if you were on vacation, out and about alot, where you'd probably have some sort of bag with you.
very situational usage.
I have one, not the Samsung brand, but it is cumbersome. I still prefer the extra battery and charger, find it easier. That being said, I still would purchase it. I love the option.

I ageed with this point, you could find the slim and thin portable battery, and the charger with more cetificates to ensure safe and enough capacity, just like i bought this one:KINKOO,has a massive 8,000 mAh capacity and intelligent output control system.i feel very good.
I have a thick one.
I have a thick one. and I also want a slightly.

which extended battery suits my needs.

I got my first phone since 2009. I used this one day i need more power but i need a case like the stock body glove im using on the stock. That lemon makes it too big. I see no other options for a nice case i work at gas station i need all the protection i can get. A case with the snap on screen protecters needed with back protection and sides
Just buy extra slim batteries. You won't find cases for the covers that come with extended batteries. You could check out the single one available for the Hyperion extended battery, though. Personally, I don't like it and wouldn't want it on my phone.

If lemon is my only option il have to go that route i walk every where extra batterys is not a option i carry my ipod touch as i use it to save from using the phone on our blue tooth radio. I wanted to avoid the bulk. Even if say these 3850s i see fit with my body glove i can live with that. Just need a hour or so extra
You can always swap batteries when you get to where you're going. If I'm swapping a battery, it's when I'm sitting comfortably at my desk at work.

(Another) Quick review of a ZeroLemon 5500mAh battery case

I got this case due to the fact I'm away from a charger for many hours of the day, mainly weekends when "on the road", and don't want to lug around a spare battery pack (and everyone else is using the car chargers)...So, this seemed like the perfect alternative, and it works just as I wanted it to.
Yes, it is rather bulky (as another Zerolemon review said, it's about like two phones stacked on top of each other)....But, it hold the phone good and works with screen protectors.
The true test was when my 15yr old son borrowed it to go "Pokemon Go" hunting yesterday evening. His phone was at 18%, came back about 3 (ore a little longer) hours later with it at 62% and had the screen on the entire time. He said "I'm using that from now on when I go Pokemon hunting"!
So, it works great, looks good, and is "teenager approved".. Just bulky, but you know that going into it.... I'm 100% satisfied with it.

Well, the battery does come out.......but it has the speaker/mic ports and charger all attached to it, that come out of the case with it. So, you can't use the case without the battery.
So, when you put your phone in the case, you remove the battery and attache it to the phone (USB port), then you put it in the case.
Here, before I posted this reply, I snapped a couple of pics.
