- full wipe

Notes:
This is using the unified HTCMSM8960 kernel based on work from yours truly and other CM contributors.
Somewhat broken as it's just a test release, another one coming at the end of weekend to fixup more things.
This is built by a official CM maintainer (myself and will become OFFICIAL really soon while I iron out some issues).

After some months of effort, here it is

I do not care about bugs as I will push updates over the next week or so (one going out on the weekend) for bug fixes. Ignoring this will just get me to report your post to xda mods/admins..
It takes HOURS to upload a zip so you'll have to wait a day or two.

I'm going to need a log on the reboot issue or the freezes.
I can't reproduce it.
If I can't reproduce it and you don't supply a log then I don't consider it a issue at all. .
Sound and camera will be fixed in the next update but you need to supply logs anyway.
I'm using a build with working use of these already but maybe you have a different variant.
Please follow this rules (and supply a log) or I will be unwilling and unable to fix you're issues as it doesn't affect me.

Definitely no, this is only for qualcomm devices. The dual sim variant has a broadcom soc, and htc didnt release sources for that.

Its been said and I know its still early in development but thank you @patrik.KT @uberlaggydarwin . I didn't think it was ever going to happen. I bought this device in November 2013 and was pretty bummed our device never saw its potential. All we wanted was some CM regardless of the version. On behalf of everyone thank you fellas and anyone else who has contributed to this

Thanks, that log isn't very helpful but thanks for atleast trying, you can email me a kmsg at brin (at) brinly. me but anyway I have a build coming in the next 48 hours (I need to cleanup my mess then split up the file then rejoin on my server ready for you people)

I tested out the ROM yesterday, and here is some issues on my device:
-Camera (Already addressed)
-Display (Sometimes, the colors will go wonky )
-Mic (When calling, no input, and when activated anywhere else, makes a loud beeping noise, and the volume rockers don't do anything )
That all the issues I had so far, but everything else if fine
Good work, sir!
( I will be posing a log for the mic soon...)

You probably know how to log by now, BUT I'm going to tell you anyways.
Go to ADB, and do the command "adb logcat".
Copy and paste the text into a text file, and attach it!
It's pretty easy.

Thank you so much uberlaggydarwin for this build, works great except what's been mention before. Another thing I noticed not working is the gestures with keyboard. Also if you could eventually implement fm radio, it would be great. I tried spirit fm but I guess some libraries are missing for fm radio to work. Thanks again, it's awesome developments you got here.

That's very interesting. I always wanted to try a stock or rather google inspired rom in my Note but was never given the chance. Your download links are down though, overloading my anticipation
edit: You write "all variants download here". Do you mean that you support both P600, P601 and P605?

Cool stuff just got back with mine installed twrp through odin and used SuperSU zip to root. Just downloaded and about to flash. Wanted to get a preloaded recovery first with all my normal apps. Thanks for the Rom look forward to it!
Everything is up and running. I had issues getting SuperSu - ended up having to reflash that through TWRP. The only thing i have noticed so far is the inability to take screenshots. I might be missing something - but i believe the only way was to hold down the button and touch the screen. Once i finish setting up i will check if the phone is even responding to spen button
Came across an interesting error couldn't use hangouts dialer to video call. Grant it I didn't test it on stock it worked on the tab 4 I had its not a necessity I was just trying to break things lol
Screenshot is volume down + power
Screen record is volume up + power
I know about the hangouts problem. Also I know that headphones don't work. I will fix it next chance I get. My professors are laying the papers and assignments on hard this past week (its the same thing I had to do for the note 3)
Also if you read the OP 2nd post you would see that I specifically stated that Omni does NOT include root or su binary by default.
Some good info:
A great tool for this is the app Syslog from the play store. If you have a bug, simply open the app and select the type of logs to collect. Just keep in mind that the logs must be collected after the bug and before a reboot (unless you're getting logs for a random reboot, in which case you would collect a last_kmsg). This app makes collecting logs as easy as its ever been :good:

Ah, I see. For Omni, SuperSU was integrated into Settings if it's installed, there won't be an icon in the app drawer.
Tap Build Number a few times to enable Developer Options and you should see SuperSU above About Phone in settings :good:

Dont use ART. Its not supported by Google and therefore isn't support by Omni, and therefore not by me either. CM has hacked up some stuff to make ART work but Omni isn't doing that.
Best results will be with dalvik and stock kernel
I've been using it on campus for the past few days to take notes during class and write papers and haven't had any issues.
I just saw that you uploaded an update. Could you provide a changelog, since the changelog page shows an error (Error: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)) ?
I know now why, because it doesn't boot atleast for me.

Hi rom devloper
i was wondering if u could support the p600 for ur omni rom. Also, is it possible if i install the p605 rom on my p600 it will work.. i know that is the case for some roms.
thanx in advance

P600 is the QUALCOMM wifi-only variant, correct? If it is QUALCOMM then I can certainly look into it. Shouldn't be much more difficult than just removing the telephony and ril stuff
If it is Exynos there is no way.
The p600 is exynos but but I do know that many p605 roms work flawlessly on the p600... could u please try to support the p600
Thank so much for trying to help

I'm feeling super lazy and tbh can't be assed to do a full build just to fix the buttons so you guys can all do it manually
download this
reboot into recovery and MAKE SURE IT'S CLOCKWORK MOD and mount system <<< IMPORTANT
(mounts and Storage > mount system)
then do
adb push tegra-kbc.kl /system/usr/keylayout/tegra-kbc.kl
reboot
sorted
btw IF the dialer doesn't show up on the app dock, don't worry just drag drop it from the app's screen.

I think I'm gonna learn building rom somehow and may give you a hand in developing rom for HOX+. I've made some apps for android on Windows, never use linux before. Maybe that's a tough part
Can you confirm that youtube doesnt work for me.

Surprisingly, it works for me on mobile data.

Actually, I haven't gotten any bugs yet (I don't know what the main bugs are in CM12)... I know the latest Video not recording issue was fixed and I tested it myself. That is all I think...
Ambient display not working.
GPS icon stays on top with some Gapps.
Contacts & message app FC when clicking on contact picture.
No deep sleep with some Gapps.
etc...
Can't recall all of them.
Hello few screen could be nice in presentation thank you

Well you're going to have to wait, I have school stuff coming up and maybe a Rubik's cube competition. The next release should have more than just CFlags though!

NVM it's probably my connection problem. I would disconnect at 3% of the upload until I changed some connection settings. I'm at 45% :fingers-crossed:

First! Yay! Question1: Is the camera working?
Question 2: Is there VOLTE?
And a tip: Please add a list of features working and not working
BTW @Myself5 , great work on the kernel
Edit: Error 7 in TWRP, editing updater-script and trying again.
Edit 2: Removed getprop commands. no error 7. extracting system right now
Edit 3(Final): Rom boots up. Network working. Connects to LTE. Wifi working. Very smooth.
But camera doesnt work. Once you get it working, i will be back
Great job! but camera doesn't work and the phone isn't sleep(cpu is stilll running when screen is off). Sorry for my English
Very nice! First official 7.1.1 ROM There is also one more bug, when I tried to launch a torch from a quick settings the phone rebooted itself.
I will definitely use this rom if sony improves aosp camera with new blobs.

Feature List is WIP. Will be delivered later on this week.
There just was no time to do this this morning 4AM, jenkins just took up too much time
Q2: Never tested that, my SIM doesn't support it, neither is there LTE coverage for it here. Would be cool if you could try and report back.
Error7: You probably had a recovery that was using "z3c" as the device name, I went for the real Sony codename (aries). Might not have been the best idea, as it was already misstaken as a Xiaomi Mi2 here https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/5ldrav/carbon_rom_android_711_nightlies_out_for_xiaomi/
Regarding cam: this phone is going to kill me. On my testbuild I did yesterday cam was working flawlessly...
I'll review the weekly and see if I can upload a new one.
Also, is anyone here experiencing any NFC issues? Its working fine on my Z3C, but @ronin86 keeps on having issues with it with it.

Thanks for the reply! I haven't tried NFC, switched back to my ROM. I was just trying out new ROMs. Great job on the ROM btw, apart from camera, the ROM is pretty stable. I didn't want to switch, but camera is a deal breaker for me.
I would love to switch to 7.1.1. Maybe you might want to consider switching the bootanim... its kinda choppy

Torch was greyed out for me, I couldn't turn it on.
Does this ROM work with MultiROM?
First of all a
REAL BIG THX
to @Myself5 for all his engagement and calmness while the developing time....
Concerning NFC : with the last prerelease Version i decided to flash first the ROM, then directly without booting newest OpenGapps nano and SuperSU 2.79 - And after booting the miracle happens - NFC switch appears and keeps static - and it reacts to a NFC chip by opening the related website...
I also encountered a permanent wakelock maybe related to charging and not rebooting afterward .... i have to check
Cam was working in the prerelease version
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you

Ikr, but when I pressed it to see if it's working my phone rebooted itself.
EDIT: There is also one more bug, related to phone calls. I can hear person which is talking to me clearly, but the person to which I'm talking hear something like (echo of my voice?). That's the only problem in term of phone calls, because I didn't experienced reboots during phone calls, and it appears that the volume is changing
@hmnt
You need an unlocked bootloader - the newest working recovery (TWRP) - and Open Gapps (or similar )
Put the flashable *zips on sd-card (doesn't matter if intern or extern) Enter Recovery - i recommend a factory reset - then flash the rom and afterwards Open Gapps.
Cheers

For me camera works but it is very blurry and in not very good lightened rooms there is no light at all just black everywhere
@Myself5 are the audio routes sorted so in call volume is changeable now?
for now a big thank you!!!
consider to write on the top that the unlocked bootloader is necessary. for people don't know it could be good. sorry for my english!
i'll try to support in an economic way too, if possible.
It's good that you came back haha.

Cheers

I really liked using CarbonROM on my previous phones. With SLiMM now dead it's nice to see a good alternative for the z3c. I thought development on the z3c was dying. Thank you for bringing Nougat to this phone. I was really close to getting a new one. Not many options for a compact SD801 or higher. Dislike large phones. Was considering a OnePlus 3T only because I can put my work sim in with my personal sim.

Reporting Bugs:
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed.
Grab a logcat right when the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Alpha 2
Welp, here's the update:
As this was Oreo, I couldn't continue on slebit's thread. Validus and Tesla (Nougat builds) development will stay on that thread.
All the upcoming Oreo builds will be posted on this thread.
After a lot of research and going through dozens of device tree's, I made some progress.
ALPHA 2 Build
SIM Card detects now and data is working.
I couldn't test VoLTE, and frankly it's not a priority right now.
The phone can vibrate now and it doesn't seem to stutter or lag much.
Camera, Bluetooth and Sensors are still the major things that are not working.
If you want to try the ROM, then please do check whether the things I have mentioned 'working' are also working for your device. If you find anything new that's not working then mention below (possibly with a logcat please).
Update: GPS is working too, got a 3D Fix (accuracy ~30feet) in a minute.
Nice
Yes ! Finally.
Hello Downloaded now. Gonna Try. thanks for making it possible for our Clark. Cheers!!!!
First i want to thanks antariksh for making this rom .
I'm using it at the moment. Until now the only issue i found was the not working hotspot WiFi. I try to attach a logcat asap. Camera doesn't work, but the front camera works well using open camera.
Edit: @antariksh Should i attach the entire log? Or a part of it?
Awesome! Wish I could test it, but need a daily driver and I know this isn't quite there yet

Ok, i took the log with adb logcat -v long > name.txt command. This was the first log i got .
So, please tell me if i do it right.
Anyway, ROM was really smooth and stable for an alpha build. Can't wait for next build  .
Thanks :good: .

Thanks for putting this together, GZR is my favorite! Cant wait to get my Moto X Pure!
Looks like I got a situation. While I am setting PIN code on Oreo , the Setting panel just stop. When I try to use PIN to unlock , the tip is always "Wrong PIN code".
@Monstorix Strange, I never had this issue. Do you set the unlock method during initial installation? Or after?
Thanks again. Soon I'll be able to test the rom too, just need to backup my stuff.

Don't know. I can change unlock method without any issue.
You can try to do a clean installation again.
If issue is still there, you should provide a logcat.
