Below is a collection of all known stock firmware for the T-mobile S5 (G900T). This thread provides links to firmwares, root methods, bootloader, modem, and recovery methods. This isn’t a thread for support and any questions about any of the specific firmware, root methods, bootloader, modem, and recovery methods should be asked in the threads linked below. I am not responsible for what happens for any unfortunate problems that may occur while using any methods below. Please read any instructions carefully to avoid any mishaps!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Links below are for Odin and MD5 if you need them.
(Use for 5.0+)>>Odin v3.10.6<< (Use for 5.0+)
Odin v3.09
MD5 reader
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Stock Firmwares: These are links directly to all the official stock firmwares for G900T. In other words, these are same files you would get if you downloaded straight from sammobile except you won’t get the ridiculous download times of sammobile. Remember to double check MD5 to make sure you get full download and not a partial download so everything will run as smooth as possible. Also some say the fix for an invalid error when flashing can be fixed by renaming file to end in .tar. (Example would be to change firmware.tar.md5 to firmware.tar and flash that)
Instructions straight from sammobile
1) extract/unzip firmware file (should show as .tar)
2) download odin v3.09 or newer and extract
3) open odin
4) Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
5) Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
6) Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
7) Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked and keep odin default settings
8) Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes

Great guide. Thanks!
Just a suggestion for when you have a ton of free time and absolutely nothing to do, you might want to actually add the modem and bootloader downloads in this thread. That would be a wonderful thing.
Thanks.

Didn't take long. Let me know if there are other BL or modems you specifically want. I actually have free time this weekend for the first time in awhile.

I successfully rooted my G900T using the G900P/Mobile ODIN method from here: how-to-update-to-stock-rooted-ob1-5-0
I apologize for not providing links but I'm below the 10 post threshold.
Mods, I'm just trying to contribute but understand if you need to edit this.
Hope this is enough, if you'd like more please let me know.

My phone has the G900TUVU1CNK2 firmware. I would like to root, flash TWRP and then flash a 5.0 ROM.
1. Can this be done without tripping KNOX?
2. Do I need to update the modem or bootloader?

1. No. If you flash a custom recovery such as TWRP it trips Knox
2. It depends on the ROM, but when you move to 5.0 you should have 5.0 bootloader and modem, or you can have all kinds of problems if it even works at all. If you flash a stock 5.0 ROM it will update everything for you and then it is much easier to flash a custom ROM.
I'm going to flash an international ROM for my G900T. Do I need to flash the OB1 bootloader or modem first?

From what I understand, you can only nand back to NK2 if you are on KK and not LP firmware. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

If you download the full firmware it does contain everything. The BL and modem you see for download is for those who want to exploit a root or some other reason. For the most part, you can just flash the full stock firmware and not have to worry about the rest unless you are trying to fix connection issues and/or root.

Not exactly sure why but searching around online, some say that changing the .md5 at the end of the file name helped them. But if that doesn't work I'm not sure. Hopefully a dev or someone sees this and knows what to do. If it does work though, let me know and I can put a note in.

Are you saying you should rename the .md5 extension or.completely remove it from the file name. And just try flash as a .tar?

Hi all,
I have a rooted (through Odin desktop version) Galaxy S3 I9300 with the following:
AP: I9300XXBLH1
CP: I9300CELH1
CSC: I9300PHNBLH1
I have been trying to flash the Jellybean OTA firmware that was posted yesterday on:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1867672
However when I try to flash with CWM it breaks off.
When I try this with Odin Mobile Pro I get:
"The kernel image on your device does not match the signature check in OTA ZIP. Disable the check (may prevent the device from booting)?"
I guess I have to update the kernel image somehow in order to install this OTA as was also mentioned in the thread with the Jellybean firmware:
http://samsung-updates.com/fw/Samsung-Updates.com-GT-I9300_BTU_1_20120806161432_al03it6wa2.zip
However it's impossible to download this file, have tried with 4 different browsers on 2 desktops and 2 browsers on my phone but no luck (I get dummy zip file, referred back to the same page or html file download).
Any tips on how to update the base/kernel rom so I can safely install the Jellybean OTA?
Thanks,
Vincent

Correct, but I tried to install the full rom directly and it failed (see my first post of the thread), so I figured I had to upgrade the kernel and modem first..

Hi, i just bought my note 2 and ive already unlocked it and rooted it, i want to use a ROM that has 4.3 Jelly Bean like the N3BULA ROM, it says flash the MJ9 OTA Firmware using Odin. But on the forums there is a forum called "Once you're unlocked don't use odin to flash custom ROMs"
1. I should be able to flash the MJ9 using odin safely right because its not a custom rom right?
2. How do i flash the MJ9 update using odin?
3. Once i flash the MJ9 update can i still use non 4.3 ROM?
Question 1: You are correct.
Question 2: Download, then extract with 7zip. Put phone into download mode. Open Odin on computer and connect the phone. Place extracted md5 into the pda slot and hit start. It'll do it's thing and your phone will reboot and be done.
Question 3: Yes as long as don't take the OTA update from Samsung you will able load roms as usual
Once my phone is in download mode, odin doesn't recognize my phone. Any reason why ? I'm so frustrated

Check your drivers. If you've used casual, sometimes removing those drivers will help and by also installing updated Samsung drivers.
If you've done all of the above and it's still not recognized. I recommend trying a different USB cable.

Info that may help: I searched here in xda not on this device or I'd post a link, for how to install Odin and found that for each Samsung device there are some set of Odin versions that are compatible. I used Odin just now (took less than a minute) version 3.07 for my phone. Note that my drivers were already installed and working since I unlocked the bootloader a year ago. For others: it simply rebooted afterwards and all is well.

but if you don't flash 5.1.1 stock rom with 5.1.1 bootloader, the 5.1.1 rom which were made for g920f might not support fingerprint.so,if you want to use XtreStroLite,a 5.1.1 bootloader is essential

True, I am going to add the bootloader shortly. Then you should be able to use the fingerprint feature without an issue.
XtreStolite 2.0 works on 920I ? Official thread never said it .. I am glad to see that it will work .

At first when it was released it didn't. Then a few people discovered removing the fingerprint functionality allowed it to boot on G920I on old bootloader. Just this week the official bootloader/modem was released for the G920I making it fully compatible.
I have the 920I, and I want to install XtreStoLite Odex Pure Edition 2.0, I'm on Indian 5.1.1. How should I do it? First, install UniKernel (Flashing the tar file on AP/PDA), then flashing the TWRP, and then flashing the rom in recovery? When should I install the modem and bootloader if I already flashed the 5.1.1 full fw? Will the rom fully work on 920I? Thanks in advance
To flash modem and bootloader only need folllw edgarf28 guide? I already in 5.1.1 with old bootloader
Would these work on 920F?

modem not is tar.md5 file, is that right???
edit modem dont work, cm.bin is missing
If I flash the 5.1.1 bootloader will recovery still be installed, and I'd be then able to flash xtrestolite 2.0?

The modem is. Bin format u can flash it without the cm file. Yes u need to update to the latest version of twrp to run 5.1.1. Before flashing the bootloader.

Hello. I have a G920F with the poor signal issue. Im wondering if it will be ok to flash this new modem as it uses the same basebands as the ones I use on my G920F. 4G 1800/2300, 3G 2100, 2G 900/1800. I cant see any problems but thought I would just check.
Can I flash latest 0f8 modem on the old boot loader?
Sent from my SM-G920I using XDA Premium HD app
Repacked in .tar.md5 format (thanks @solrazr)
bootloader.tar.md5 http://d-h.st/xkNu
modem.tar.md5 http://d-h.st/EwqK
My installation method:
1. flash rom (I use XtreStoLite Odex Pure Edition 2.0 with keep app and data settings i.e. no data wiping)
2. flash rom addon (if any)
3. flash custom kernel (if any)
3. reboot to bootloader/download mode
4. flash bootloader and modem
5. reboot
So I'm on 5.0.2 at the moment. No matter what bootloader & modem I flash nothing seems to flash successfully. If I flash 5.1.1 ROM first, will that allow me to flash via Odin?
Gosh I'm having all sorts of annoying issues with Odin not working at the moment! Thanks.
Hello i have 920I with android 5.0.2 rooted with pingpong root and knox not tripped.
Im thinking to update to 5.1.1 using smartswitch, and then rooting the stock rom.
Is there a procedure on how to do this as i have been confused because each thread gives a different method.
Also would i need to flash bootloaders modems etc... after the update.
Thank you
Hello,
Tried all ROMS, none is working, below is the detail:
Installed
1 . CRISSCROSS ROM - no audio, while on call in earpiece and loudspeaker
2 . XtreStoLite-ROM-3.3.1-DPDP.zip ROM, Problem - AFter flash Phone model shows G925F AND NO CONNECTION TO NETWORK, EMERGENCY CALLS ALL TIME, TRIED flashing MODEM for g925w8 no LUCK
3. KIngfisher ROM, after flashing Kingfisher ROM, phone is STUCK AT
*KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING* and phone will not turn ON.
SO , I guess there is NO working CUSTOM ROM fOR G925W8,canada. At the end I flashed stock BOJ7 AND Phone is working perfectly with 5 1 1 G925W8 BOJ7
I'm using the G925W8 on Xtrestolite. You must be missing something. I'm not sure what though

@Administr4tor
Custom ROMs for that work for W8
I've have confirmation from multiple users that my OZOP Rom is compatible and working flawlessly for the following devices Flat and Edge (rom is Edge based) F/I/T/W8. Could be more this are just the confirmed working devices.
Also OZOP is currently very active with development and actually about to be updated!
What ever Rom you decide is up to you.
Just letting you know there are options available.
Good luck
I believe you need to update your bootloaders using a stock 6.0.1 image or flash them via odin.
Also look in the T mobile section for a custom kernel like stang has a rom showing for. Our devices were basically secondhand tmobile rebranded as W8. Everything is literally the same minus us canadian guys cant use wifi calling.
So in short flash rom, then kernel and let it boot. Once it boots then turn it off and restart into recovery and flash call fix. If you need an updated callfix I can post a link here.
I found if you flash all three before first boot the zip from callfix creates a bootloop. Therefore it tells me the zip needs to be flashed over a built system
Nothing seems to work, No matter what I have No network connection... on any rom..

So the best I've been able to do is get it on a custom rom with no network connection at all. Seems like Im losing the ability to get it working. I tried Wind, telus stock 6.0.1's and i get the SW rev error, I've tried Rogers 5.1.1, and I get the same. Only thing that flashed on my device was "AP_G925W8VLU2AOG2_CL4808800_QB5701859_REV02_user_low_ship.tar" but it didn't boot past Galaxy S6 Edge logo, and recovery wasn't loading to try and factory reset to continue boot. I'm pretty sure this phone is dead.... I mean the custom rom was 6.0.1 with arter kernel, but no service... I'm lost...

Thanks Sir.
Any ideas to my posts above?
guaranteed it's the bootloader and modem.
Once you flash the 6.0.1 ones via ODIN, then both crisscross and xtrolite should work. Crisscross, you will need to flash an independent audio fix which Christ have provided you in the post above.
Xtrolite (which I'm using with Twisted V4 Kernel) has it integrated so you shouldn't have any audio problems. Mind you, if you're still having trouble. Flash back 5.1.1 stock kernel and then let it update officially via samsung kies or OTA. Our phones now have 6.0.1 release so once you do that, you'll automatically have the new 6.0.1 bootloader and modem for our 925w8 phones. Then it'll be simple to flash a custom rom at that point.
Just update stock system to Marshmallow 6.0.1 (or flash stock 6.0.1 via Odin), then flash TWRP, do standard wipe with TWRP (Data, Cache and Dalvik), flash XtreStoLite via TWRP and everything will work
I have canadian S6 Edge and XtreStoLite is working very good

issue is I can't make the 6.0.1 stock files flash, always getting the SW rev error when cm.bin tries to flash, I've tried, Rogers, Wind, Telus stock files, nothing works. On CrissCross right now but not service... I want to get back to stock or at least make the bootloader work.
EDIT: Apparently using the most recent koodo stock, got me back to stock rom and with service! Now to root and do the custom rom properly! Thanks all!

THIS G925W8 is working perfectly in 5 1 1 , I was able to make calls to all networks including GSM and WCDMA, I checked IMEI status with code 197328640 and IMIE status is OK, then after I flashed 6 0 1 and then the IMIE status turns to NOT GOOD and I am unable to make calls and stuck at EMERGENCY CALLS, looks like this PHONE IS JACKED??

I am not sure if the rom you use is using the latest base.
If that is the case, the BTU/XEU has not updated yet... you can use XEF which is the French version. That has latest base and should flash.

Also you don't reported which Odin version you was using. you need Odin 3.13.1 to flash Oreo firmware.
And you can't downgrade the bootloader. So you need to flash a stock Rom with same or newer bootloader like already installed.
Don't be afraid to hit the "Thanks" button if someone helped you. It don't hurts

I used the latest odin and now just trying to find the latest firmware , I'm downloading XEF the French firmware that the previous comment mentioned
I would use the stock firmware with the manufacturer CSC of the device.
And there is a log window in Odin that shows logs of the flash process. There showing often useful informations. So next time make a screenshot with this logs and post it here
