[Q] Moto E (2015) SAR value - E 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
can anyone look into manual and tell me what is the SAR value of Moto E (2015 4G/LTE European version), please ?
I can´t find it on the internet.
Thank you very much!

I have the US LTE variant (X1527) and the SAR values are:
Head SAR: LTE B7,WiFi,Bluetooth 1.20W/kg
Body-worn SAR: LTE B7,WiFi,Bluetooth 0.98 W/kg
If you don't mind why are you interested in this? I have never heard of it until you asked and I looked through the manual

How much does moto e gen 2 cost's. When it will be released

[Q] Band 13 Band 17 and B28 LTE 700Mhz

Hi everyone,
I wonder if someone can help me, i have asked a smart guy this question and it was suggested that i try it with AU's FW..but im a little new to this and i need some help...
This phone Xperia Z2 has LTE band 17 (700Mhz) .....but here in Australia we will be getting LTE band 28(700mhz)....
Can my phone work in the B28 if it does not say B28 in the specs? because its still 700mhz.
Or do i need software to allow it to operate on B28 (700Mhz)?....maybe some settings, or flash of some sort.
Can someone help...
Thanks.
Depends on where did you get it from? I purchased my XZ2 from Telstra.
And it is same spec as international one whch doesn't support 700Mhz LTE.
Optus might has got special model and I am not sure abou that.
Only little hope for software update, as they have to register this phone to
certification of conformance to technical standards again.
I think you can flash AU FW by using tool called flashtool. Howevery by using that
tool your warranty may avoid so think carefully.
Yes i got it from Telstra....Mine has B17 which is LTE 700Mhz ....Im pretty sure.
Its the B6503 which has
B1,B2,B3,B4,B5,B7,B8,B13,B17,B20
I looked up the Spectrum allocation and it says B17 is 700Mz...also B13 is but its different allocation of that band...
Im guessing it just needs a Software upgrade to make it work on that allocation of B28,
But im not an expert and im not really sure how its done or even if it can be done.
Thanks.
Oops I meant B28... not B17. Collect my mistake.
There are 4 versions of the Z2 sold.
D6502: No LTE
D6503 (AU, NZ, EU, ASIA model): LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 20
D6543 (North American model): LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8
SO-03F (Japan model for NTT docomo: docomo Xi LTE
Yes,
But is there a way to allow the ones which already have B17 & B13 (LTE 700Mhz) to work on the AU LTE 700mhz B28?
There must be a way to unlock that specific section of the LTE 700Mhz (B28) on this phone considering it already has the capability of 700Mhz LTE.
For example [(B17)-Uplink =704-716 Downlink=734-746]---------[(B13)- Uplink =777-787 Downlink=746-756]---------[(B28)-Uplink =703-748 Downlink=758-803]
Is there a way to operate on the B28 frequency range within the 700Mhz band considering the phone has a 700mhz LTE chipset?
There must be some way to do that. But as I said in my post. It must be authorized by Government or whatever
authorizes the phones with which band and which frequency the phone uses.
So if you change it by your self it would be against the law and should not happen.(As I am not Australian I am not sure about Australian laws)
I have read some thing about changing frequencies, but I can't remember and it must be done by your own.

Does anyone own the Mediapad X1 4G? Would love some feedback on the device as well as

I've been going on YouTube to get some reviews but its mostly a quick hands on. Does anyone own the device and have any feedback on it? Any issues? I was thinking about getting the 4G version but I can't find anything on it!
I've noticed the phone has been updated to a new version of android recently... Can you get root with the update?
There's a 4G version of this as well, does that connect to the 4G bands of AT&T or does it just get HSPA+?
I've been trying to look for the Chinese forums for this device to get reviews or user feedback in general but I can't find anything!
Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

The 503L works in Malaysia where the LTE bands are 1800MHz and 2600MHz FDD. Nigeria probably uses a band unsupported by the device.

There was one other guy I saw in the X1 related threads in this forum here, who said that the H+ bands on AT&T work fine.
This is truly a fantastic device and has all the right boxes ticked. You can even use it as a powerbank in an emergency.

Fantastic device. The best tablet i have ever had. Durable and compact. Software very smooth.
I'm in the US and am on AT&T. The LTE bands don't work in the US so you would probably want to get the 3G version (Unless you travel overseas and might want 4G)
If a huge screen and massive battery are your thing then get this phone. If not, your better served with the Sony Xperia Z Ultra.
Other than Screen Size and Battery, the Mediapad X1 falls short in alot of areas.
Pros
Screen (Why else would you get this phone?)
Battery (I get 3 days on a charge)
Don't need a tablet
Cons
Poor performance (Compared to the current snapdragon equipped phones)
Quirky Wifi Performance/Occasion dropouts (In the US)
Old OS (KitKat is out, but fairly buggy right now)
No custom recovery or roms (This would probably fix alot of the performance issues)
High memory usage (Even after rooting and removing all the Huawei stuff)
Just a little laggy in general (Annoying pause after unlocking the screen)
Build quality is a little lacking (buttons feel cheap and are easy to accidentally press or hold)

I suppose "Poor performance" is relative based on the Antutu score, since I'm happy with the device overall.
I did some exploring with ROM dumping tools, and I think I managed to successfully extract the /system partition. Still exploring though, hope to pick up some ROM modding skills.

Do you get at least HSPA on the device? I know its underpowered because the Ultra has a 2.2ghz vs this one has a 1.6. I was really waiting for the Ultra 2 that would have a flash but I need something now. I didn't think I would need flash that much but I use it all the time as a light.
Did you upgrade to the latest version? Did that improve the performance? How well does it connect to the network?
I don't know about the wifi, I have a Samsung Note now and I get wifi authentication errors all the time!

Yes HSPA+ works just fine at around 5mbs. That's certainly fast enough for cellular data.
I did upgrade to the leaked Kitkat build, it had some nice speed improvements however the DPI was set to 400 which was yuck, and the wifi performance was total crap. I had to go back to 4.2 unfortunately. It wasn't good enough for a daily driver, hopefully those issues get fixed for a proper update...
The wifi issues on 4.2 are not that troublesome, with the leaked 4.4 rom they were very bad.

According to some other posts I read, Huawei may not be able to legally state FDD support as they are not licensed for that spectrum in China. However there are reports that the modem supports all frequencies.
Can I know what is the model number of the 32gb version?

Works with T-Mobile in the US, yes. LTE, no

Korean Variant - Note 8 (SM-N950N) does have the 1700MHz / Band 4 to work on T-Mobile

The question of whether the Korean 256GB models (SM-N950N) of the Note 8 having the 1700MHz / Band 4 support or not was in question due to the limited info. online, not showing these bands listed early on...
However, it looks like now that people have the 256GB Note 8's in their hands, many have proved that the Korean variant does indeed have 1700MHz / Band 4 to work 100% on T-Mobile....ie... Full support of all the Bands. (Less the 600Mhz, which is only available on the LG V30 as the first phone so far to feature the new frequency. That's for another topic...
Can those of you who have the 256GB model on T-Mobile, confirm how it's working along with some screen shots of speedtests etc?...
Thanks...
What about Band 66 which is the 1700/2100 one.
I just looked up on https://www.frequencycheck.com/carrier-compatibility/OgWGFv/samsung-sm-n950n-galaxy-note-8-td-lte-256gb-samsung-baikal/t-mobile-united-states and it says this one is missing.

Looking at the 4G Specs here:
http://www.phonemore.com/samsung-galaxy-note-8-sm-n950n/specs/3552
It appears it does support both 1700MHz and 2100MHz frequencies, though it doesn't specify band 66. It states it supports these:
LTE Cat16 700/800/850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100/2600 (Bands 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,12,13,17,18,19,20,25,26,28)

If you want to reliably verify what bands a Samsung device has my advice to you would be to go to the Samsung website located in the regionn or country that the device is sold in.
Then navigate to the N8 on that website and check the specs.
I've learned never to trust what those third party websites state. Especially frequency check.
Here, I've googled it for you...

B66 is not important for most people on Tmo USA. Google it & see if it's even available in your area. B66 is an extension of B4 & currently not available in a lot of areas. B71 will probably be more of a difference but Note 8s don't support it anyway.
Generally B4, B12, & B2 is what will be primarily used. N950F supports B66 but I've never seen my phone connect to B66 anywhere around me.

Have some questions!

Thinking about buying this phone. Can you guys tell me the common issues with this phone? The one I'm most concerned with is the headphone jack, does it produce hiss sound at low volume? I ask this since I came across a lot of phones with that issue. Thanks in advance

I personally don't experience hissing on this phone. As far as issues, it involves the OTA from Vendor Roms which bricked some devices. You can check your ROM version and cross reference it with the ones on the Mi website to make sure. Aside from that, I don't see anything wrong with the phone.
Hi, I'm also considering to buy Note 5 and I just wanted to say that I don't have that problem with Note 4, it doesn't mean much since I don't use N5 but I think there is very very little chance for hissing issue in any device produced in 2017.

Hi, when I purchased seller offer also a global variant for 40 usd more.
Many people confuse about global device version and global firmware that it´s not the same.
You just have to pay special attention to the bands that is enabled, the global version has more bands enabled, by i.e my version that is a non global doesn´t have LTE bands 2 (1900) nor 4 (1700/2100) it mean that in my country it can´t work on 4G (of course I bought it so it is cause I didn´t need). This is the main difference.

Why do you say that has B4? Where you saw it?
Look at this info, just 4G apparted, this is a non-global version from a chinese seller you can find these specs;
4G FDD LTE B5:850 /B8:900 /B3:1800 /B1:2100 /B7:2600
TD LTE B38:2600 /B39:1900/ B40:2300 /B41:2500 MHz
TD or TDD is the LTE FOR China, look up FDD LTE bands.
And this is a Global version, seller usually put in a red highlighted the bands added
4G: FDD LTE B5:850 /B8:900 /B3:1800 /B1:2100 /B7:2600 /B4:1700 /B20:800;
TD LTE B38:2600 / B40:2300
Differences here are bands 4 for Latin America and guess some regions of Asia and maybe others and band 20 for Spain.

Why do you say that has B4? Where you saw it?
Look at this info, just 4G apparted, this is a non-global version from a chinese seller you can find these specs;
4G FDD LTE B5:850 /B8:900 /B3:1800 /B1:2100 /B7:2600
TD LTE B38:2600 /B39:1900/ B40:2300 /B41:2500 MHz

I mentioned that because my 4g shouldn't work but it appears in the notification bar.
I bought the "Official Global ROM" (I saw it is not the Global Version)
FDD LTE B3:1800/B1:2100/B7:2600/B5:850/B8:900MHz
TDD LTE B34:2100/B38:2600/B39:1900/B40:2300/B41:2500MHz
This confuses me :silly:

No, if your device hasn´t these two added bands definitely it´s not a global version (global rom concept mean nothing for this) is a hardware limitation although can work within 4G depending on your company carrier in some of the 5 frequencies enabled.
I have a Chinese RN5, it has loads of bands dudes. The chance of it not working on your network are slim.
As for the headphones dilemma, they do not hiss or produce low volume. Altho if you pair them with Xiaomi Pro HD which have a high impedance then you will notice a lack in volume. That can be easily fixed with Dolby Atmos the Magisk Module.

Moto G6 Plus will NOT be available in US

I just spoke to a Moto Rep face to face at a Verizon Location. I asked specificly when the G6 Plus would be available in the states and he said only 4 devices will be available in that price range, the E4, E5, G6, and G6 play.
Then in the 2 quarter they will announce the Z3 which he wouldn't comment on....
*EDIT*
I ended up purchasing a Moto G6 Plus Dual SIM International Model, because it has all the current GSM Carrier LTE Bands, but this model does not play nice on CDMA Carriers LTE, except TMOs 600mhz... Contacted Motorola in regards to turning the 600mhz band on, awaiting a reply.
Also, I contacted Moto Customer Care, they confirmed what i previously stated, in regards to NO USA G6 Plus Version.....
*EDIT*
The Moto G6 Plus Dual SIM variant will the Model # XT-1926-7 WILL BE COMPATIBLE WITH AT&T WIRELESS AND T-Mobile, except for TMO's 600mhz band, which i am waiting for an answer from the Moto Gods above...
The dual Sim international version has same LTE Bands as US except 600mhz. I just ordered a G6 Plus International version from Amazon.
Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Lenovo trying to commit suicide in the US?
Ordered a XT-1926-7 Dual SIM Variant of the Moto G6 Plus from Amazon, will be here tomorrow....
By the way, This particular model covers ALL GSM Carriers LTE Bands for AT&T and TMO, except for the 600 mhz band which i am waiting to find out if theres an ON switch for that...

Does this mean the 600mhz band only applies to T-Mobile, or would need to switch it on to use with AT&T as well?

I believe the 600mhz band is more for capacity issues, and im not sure if ATT will have Roaming Agreements with TMO on said spectrum... sorry
*edit*
But the model i ordered, the XT-1926-7, covers ALL ATT and TMO current bands...only a handful of devices are running 600mhz while other models will just require an OTA update to turn 600 to the ON position.
edit- just saw your edit. I just looked it up, and my current US market phone is not among the handful that support that band anyway.
Thank you. I live in a remote rural area where T-mobile reception was bad, and AT&T is acceptable with a normal USA phone, so I probably do need all those bands.
Disappointed to find out no G6 plus or Nokia 7 plus in USA. Maybe that will change. In the meantime it would be great if international versions works just as well- please update if/how you get that band turned on.
Mine should be here any minute
My luck USPS will run late today....
I don't understand their sales policy, don't know about US but example from UK:
G6 Plus exclusively sold by one company not available elsewhere. Amazon UK for some reason only sells G6 Play as well says "exclusive for Amazon" but lets say Amazon DE do sell G6 Plus. P.S. Why Motorola don't sell their phones directly on their website..? I'm confused...
Update on Activating/Enabling 600 mhz
fo use on t-mobile. Just ordered phone. Thanks
If I call Moto/Lenovo direct, could I buy one for use in USA? If I told them I will be traveling abroad? Maybe?

Don't believe what they say on the Amazon website about the LTE bands for the MOTO G6 Plus (XT191926-7).
They say:
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 - LTE band 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 12(700), 13(700), 17(700), 20(800), 25(1900), 26(850), 28(700), 29(700), 30(2300), 38(2600), 41(2500), 66(1700/2100) - Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by)
This is not true.
The LTE bands are:
LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800), 38(2600) - Europe
LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 28(700) - Brazil
LTE band 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 18(800), 19(800), 26(850), 28(700), 38(2600), 40(2300), 41(2500) - India
I returned my order using prime

There is a XT1926-7 Variant for the G6Plus as I have it. What do you mean the OP was not so lucky?
I used this info to inform my decision to return the g6 +

https://www.phonemore.com/motorola-moto-g6-plus/models/1819
since It doesn't list a -7 variant as the amazon ad does. If yours is a -7 variant it will be marked on the phones back bottom bezel. In the end i couldnt construct enough supportive data that persuaded me to buy the g6+. Probably the largest factor was that the G6+ didnt have a US warranty. Search for the OPs name on the G6+ motorola forum and read his lengthy exchange with them about the phones compatibility with US networks.

Stop with the misinformation.
First, you say there is no XT1926-7, now you say there is. Yes there is:
https://fccid.io/IHDT56WL5/Test-Report/XT1926-6-XT1926-7-TestRpt-DXX-3754423
Secondly, no it does not say it on the bezel. Again, take it from someone who owns the device.
Third, as for TJ/The OP, great guy. Talked to him on many occasions in the Telegram dev chat. I don't recall him having issues with carriers, but maybe I am forgetting something. We had issues with the software channel setting being RETLA not RETUS, so that might be a factor if he did indeed have issues. In either case, the device works fine for me on Straight Talk(AT&T), Simple Mobile(T-Mobile), and Walmart Family Mobile(T-Mobile). I see in the OP he mentioned CDMA carriers. The FCC report states it only supports WCDMA not CDMA. So that's probably a factor to.
If you have passed on the device, please pass up this part of the forum rather then spreading misinformation and contradicting yourself about a device you don't own which contradicts your earlier post here.
Ok..Ok You win the internets today

1- So what is the designation of that -7 variant? Does it get all the US LTE bands?
2- My G6 had it on a sticker fixed on the back.....
3-WhoTH said anything about anything being your friends fault? Nice of you to stick up for him though. So..it had to do with the software channel as you mentioned. How did you fix it?
Heres a link to the moto forum thread i reference...https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Moto-G...26-7-How-to-change-Retail-Channel/m-p/4119230
4- Again, MAIN reason i didnt buy this device was the lack of a warranty..
Have a good weekend...cheers

1. Answered in the Moto Forum Post you linked to, but It get's all T-Mo bands. I can't be asked to research other GSM based LTE Bands used in the US, but again, the phone works on AT&T and T-Mobile for me. I don't know what TJs issue was seems it is isolated or mostly isolated to him.
2. A sticker? Stickers come and go but I don't recall one being on my device.
3. Who said it was my friend? I said I have talked to him, and he's a good guy. No it was never determined to be software related. It was never confirmed what the issue was.
4. Again, you say you didn't buy it, but yet in point #2 you claimed yours had a sticker. If you didn't buy it then how did "your's" have a sticker?
