[Help] Looking for XT910 T-Mobile or other unencrypted sbf - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hello, all. I'll try to be quick and please bear with me because I'm quite new at this:
- Have XT910; bought it with T-Mobile-branded 4.1.2. Root/Safestrap worked flawlessly. Ran with CM11 for many months.
- Tried to update CM11 to CM12 OTA and it bricked my phone; bootlooped, recovery went back to stock. (was my fault, didn't check CM forums for install instructions)
- Had to recover by using sbf and RSD Lite. Found this thread containing firmwares.
- Found T-Mobile ROM in the list, but unable to download because droid-developers returns a File Not Found error.
- Same with most other european downloads, except for Retail British.
- Flash Retail British
- Have a hard time rooting phone with all the easily available methods. Didn't keep logs, but I kept getting "access denied" type of errors.
- Finally find a dodgy Chinese app that seemed to root the phone. Superuser installed; Root checker says everything is OK.
- Install Safestrap, make ROM slot
- Try to flash LiquidSmooth. Fail. Try to install CM 10/11/12. Fail.
- Figured in my limited brain that the problem is because Retail British comes with encryption, whereas my T-Mobile version before getting it borked did not.
I can try to get logs from TWRP if you think it helps, but I'd mostly love it if someone had a copy of the T-Mobile or any other unencrypted firmware compatible with my EU XT910 that I can try flashing.
Any and all questions/advice will be highly appreciated!
Thank you.

I found a 4.1.2 T-Mobile SBF and successfully flashed it, but any of the usual root methods fail. Have you ever come across this issue?

Worked! I didn't find this method because it doesn't say anywhere that it works with the XT910.
Safestrap works and so do other ROMs. Thank you again.

Please help! Filed update on 65.1.40.XT910.PSHAsiaRetail.en.03

Hi all experts,
I have been dying to upgrade my Razr to ICS, and trying hard on the various guides in this forum....but no luck
I have used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1757766 this guid as well, and went through all the pages but could not find any solutions.
Currently (Still) :crying:I am having following specs with my Razr (With Clockwork Mod)
System Version:- 65.1.40.XT910.PSHAsiaRetail.en.03
Android Version:- 2.3.6 (GB)
Build Number:- 6.5.1-167-SPD-IRD-40
Build Date:- 6th Feb
I have also tried by restoring to factory settings and erasing the cache, but had serial 7 error everytime I tried the OTA file from the above link. My phone is rooted, so also tried by temporarily unrooting it through OTA Rootkeeper.
Tried all these premutations and combinations, but no luck:crying:
I would appreciate if some one could guied me on what to do to have my Razr running on ICS. Thanks all

Thanx thepsen I have been through this thread as well in which everybody said to follow the 2nd post by blisslove. I could not get the 2nd point with somthing called eprj-mfastboot.
Is it the fastboot.exe file which is installed after installing Android SDK? If not, can you provide me the link because I have already cursed google for not giving me any link to this file. Also do we need to install the 2 files mentioned in point 1 & 2, through RSD lite?

Since your are on 2.3.6 . You need to download GB fastboot from post #2 . I believe that file is around 800mb. RSD Flash this file to apfast boot mode . Then update ota. You don't need to flash any boot.img or system sign.

If you go to "about phone", you can find the cyanomedmod version...search in the forum for an updated version and follow the guide to update it.
Could be fixed you know and the CM9 is a good OS.
If all else fails then flash back to stock

But these are all ICS Files!
I'm not sure about your Phones Region (Asia / EU / Latam)
You only can flash the right one for your Phones Region!!!!
Sent from my CustomiZed XT910
the region does not really matter. its mostly if the phone is from CDMA or GSM based stock. the region more or less implies the update path/carrier options preloaded on the phone.
correct me if im wrong =_= haven't had my coffee for the day
The Region does matter. If you wanna flash an Latam Rom on an EU RazR, you have to delete your CID (mmmcblk1p18) or you will get an cdt.bin failure. And it's not that easy to get your CID back, when you got no backup of YOUR's.
Only the Asia & EU Fastbootfiles can be changed without that.

[Q] Unbrick in Jelly Bean?

I updated to JB a while ago on my XT912. Now I try to boot up and I get a Flash Failure (Not boot failure!) Again, I am running in Jelly Bean 4.1.2 on my NON ROOTED XT912. How do I get out of the Flash Failure? Thanks a lot.
Google betakang or batakang (I forget which one) JB unbrick. Or search around the android development forum. Make sure you have the OTA on your sdcard. It will flash ur phone back to ICS which will fail when complete. Then go into recovery and apply the OTA.

You can also download razr blade to acquire root from the same page. I believe razrblade is written by root guru @djrbliss I'm not sure who the credits for the unbrick go to but it's in the release.

You'll have to go back to JB. The unbrick tool essentially puts ur phone back into a state that will accept the OTA. As of yet I don't believe downgrade is possible. I may be wrong but not to my knowledge.

[Q] Would i have to do the rooting process again?

Hi, I just recently got a Droid X2 with version 2.3.5 already installed. I really like CM10 (4.1,2 JB) and want to install it but 2.3.4 is required and I rooted 2.3.5.
I need to know would i have to un-root the x2 before I downgrade 2.3.4 then re-root the phone or would I be able to jump from 2.3.5 (still rooted) to 4.1.2.
I'm no stranger to rooting a android but X2 is different from what i'm use to I don't want to take a risk by bricking the phone.
No need to unroot, but will need to root 2.3.4, try pete's root tools
