UC 192 MHz reboot
Hi, first of all many thanks @invaderjohn for the great job.
I would inform you that, if I set the min freq on 192 Mhz instead of 300 my phone reboot about any 20 min.
Instead with the min freq at 300 everything it' s perfect and no reboot at all, the phone with cm12 and the new kernel it's great!
I use :
Max Freq 1593 Mhz
Min Freq 300 Mhz
Governor On-demand
Scheduler Cfq
If someone else have experience of reboot could try to set the min freq on 300 and check if that solve the issue
Custom kernel on stock
So I can't install this kernel on stock rom? Or is this possible in some way?
Thanks in advance

no,it's impossible. john said that it is made for caf based rom like cm ora pac-man.
if you try to flash it on stock rom the phone wouldn't boot.

I have been testing this kernel a lot but never stayed with underclocked longer than few mins to see it working. Well 300MHz is really ok for being battery friendly. Let me check on mine. I will change it your way and let's see what happens. Thanks

Okay, thanks.
Re. frequency below 300 MHz, it makes perhaps a bit sense, when being on powersave. Using ondemand or interactive with min 192 may lead to a collapse because of cpu scaling from a very mimimum to maximum. Using ondemand or interractive ur fine with the 300.
hello
i install it over the stock rom and as u can say my phone dont boot.

OTG is not HW problem its only SW problem, because the booster which change Voltage from charger 5V to 3,7V battery can do it reverse. (tested on SonyEricsson LWW (2011), on stock its not working on OTG USB flash disk and on custom ROm its working great) and my friend whos working with this boosters , siad it should work - I will ask him for more details.
And Vagelis1608 working on it . http://forum.xda-developers.com/g2-mini/development/kernel-stock-kernel-modded-ramdisk-t3082562
5GHz I read it somewhere its should work on our SoC ( on CPA ROM I found it in setting ,maybe its bug only, but , but I did not test it , no 5GHz WiFi in reach , only 2,4GHz,)

Setcpu SGA II
Hey guys i need help, every time I set minimum frequency to 800 Mhz it always change to 200 Mhz I'm using setcpu, no frills Cup, even the performance In settings (I'm using cyanogenmod 11 by maclaw) is that what call overclocking ? I now SGA II must have kernel to overclocking but as far I now, overclocking is set the frequency beyond it should be right? And what I'm doing is just set minimal frequency to 800 Mhz

have you ever heard for cpu governors? go to settings>performance>processor and choose governor you like. and no need for set cp, no frills cpu etc..
setting minimum frequency to 800 isn't overclocking. that's the good way to kill your phone... processor isn't made to work at max freq all time. and even if it survive, your battery life will be around 3-4 hours...
overclocking is setting max freq over 800 mhz...
Can someone tell me how to overclock Samsung S advance?
SetCPU couldn't do it, neither android overclock...
Thanks!!!
For now, you cannot overclock SGSAdvance - O/C requires custom kernel, which hasn't been compiled yet. You can change your CPU's speed, but it won't let you set higher parameters than stock. So, wait for devs to compile an O/C kernel

Not yet. But i can make overclocked kernel later. But i think 1ghz dual-core is enough for ics.
I think that greater number governors and schedulers are more important than overclocking, you're 100% right with speed for ICS and even JB.

my work on cm10 boot was stuck on ramdisk issue. i posted a last_kmsg which showed that kernel booted but ramdisk had issues.
i dont understand kernel issues very well, but hope to get it working now that you are here. i'll ask for ur help from time to time.
plus, i want to take permission to use ur kernel tree for building cm9/10 from source. dont wanna use prebuilt now.
last thing, what is the difference between an ics n jb kernel, exactly what needs to be modified to make it work?....
thanks

Qualcomm S4 Play is made for speed 1-1.2GHz, and that's the safe range of frequencies. Remember that this is ARM-cortex A5 not Krait, and more than 1.2 can really harm it.

I know ramdisk, but let me rephrase my question, what exactly (in ramdisk) needs to be modified and how, to make it work on jb. Anyways, i'm still figuring things out by trial n error so progress is very very slow. The logcat was the only thing i ever got to which showed the cm10 logo as well but then, everything MESSED up. Havent been able to replicate that result since.

So happy to hear such good news for the DesireX! Finally the developing for this device is becoming richer first of all, thank you for this custom kernel and thanks nexus prime for his effort to port the CM series I'm not an expert but yeah, sense and AOSP/AOKP Roms need different kernels. To learn more I think that Dennis Rassmann (the creator of the famous Bricked kernel series) or faux can answer your question about ramdisk, if you contact them (they are really kind and gentle). After that I would like to ask if it's possible to add the useful sweep2wake function to this kernel, in future. For now, good work guys, never give up!!!

How to built my own version
This kernel is wonderful. But if the among of apps grows up, the system will become slowly and stucky. I want to add zram and memory merge support for this kernel. However, I don't know what to use that source that posted on github for doing this. Apolo 7.1 seems doesn't have a kernel repository, but just a init repository? What should I do? I am new in making kernel. Thanks.
My huge thanks to the developers of this amazing Kernel. I really appreciate your work. It works perfect with NeatRom 8 ! Thank you.
Apolo Kernel Config
Hey guys I'm using KK Neatrom V8.0st with KERNEL Apolo_7.1_CM_Regular. What is the best of scheduler/governor for this rom?
Apolo voltage versions - I still don't understand
Ok, I've read OP and searched relevant replies and I still don't get what's the real difference between particular Apolo voltage versions and the difference between flashing another version and just setting corresponding voltage presets in configurator app.
So, there are CPU, GPU and "internals" voltages. In Regular and Extreme GPU and internal are set to -50mV (according to OP), so there is no difference in these. The only difference seems to be in CPU voltages - which can easily be set in app. Where is the catch?
Yesterday I also made an interesting investigation (maybe relevant to this question). I had an issue with wifi not working with Apolo/NeatRom combination. Apolo Regular worked fine but Extreme V0 didn't, other conditions being absolutely equal. I can understand that lower voltage may lead to certain parts of the SoC not working properly. But again - the internal voltages are the same in Reg and V0. (This problem was solved by clean reflash of ROM and kernel.)
Edit: OK, I now read the OP one more time and found Voltages PDF. This explains everything....

Is it possible to get .tar files of the latest KitKat or Lollipop versions of this wonderful kernel that are flashable via Odin? Would love to use them in order to install Lollipop on my phone.
Thanks in advance and best regards

Edit 2: Also just saw that @gsstudios provided the .tar files in the development thread. Thanks a lot to him as well!

500 Mhz instead of 200 Mhz
First of all i wanna thank you for the biggest and better work did on this kernel.
I think that it's the most complete and powerful tool to get fly the s2
I'm on the v32. Everthing works perfect. No SOD. Very Smooth. Perfect
But I noticed that the clock, when the s2 apparently is not doing anything, is always on 500 Mhz instead of 200 Mhz.
May not doing anything correctly or is it supposed works in this way?
I have checked the process and i did not found anything that can explain the 500 Mhz stables.
Did someone find the same problem?
Thanks.

Did you reset stweaks profile in recovery? Are you running stock settings? Did you wipe cache and dalvik cache? Have you tried reflashing kernel? If same problems occur, try flashing an older build or different kernel as this could be due to the updated CPU governors.

Yes i did. I've installed the kernel with wipe cache and dalvik cache.
I'll try resetting stweak profile and then I will try reflashing kernel i will see what happen.
Thanks.

I've found the solution. It wasn't the reset stweaks profile or wipe cache or dalvik cache.
The problem is there just when i put the darkness governor.. I don't know why but when i choose the darkness governor, the frequency goes up to 500 mhz.
Anyway many thanks for the help.
I always hope that you don't stop to work on this fantastic kernel.

You need to use an app like trimmer and schedule it to run as often as you like. Once a day is good. chhapil and I are working to get trim to work properly in CRON.

I think I can't help you with that
However, you could try underclocking, changing CPU governor to PegasusQ or Ondemand, increase up thresholds to around 90%, make GPU utilization timeout to 800Msec or higher, I/O scheduler to noop/SIO. Use greenify to improve standby time.
