yes it will only show sd card..because before flashing we need to do factory reset. and after factory reset there would be no rom left in internal sd card then what will you flash? so sd card is necessary!

Hey guys, I flashed Oxygen ROM and when tried to install an app, the phone rebooted and all /data apps were gone.. Did a clean install again and the same problem occured :\ ... should I fix permissions in recovery ? or use any other recovery to flash, btw my current recovery is CWM 5.0.2 ... Could it be an OC problem?? Or a problem with SD card ?

Wipe /system and /boot in mount and storages in CWM before flashing, then do a data wipe, and your good to go

I was trying to increase the internal apps storage space and bricked my phone!
was using KitKat by kashif bro... android v4.4.4 cm11 v 0.11
now, /system /cache and /data wont mount or format...
how to recover?? please help asap!! my fone is dead currently! :'( :crying

r u able to get into the recovery mode??
if u are, then try flashing the rom again.

tried it, but to flash rom, the /system , /data n /cache partitions need to be accessable... thats where the rom gets installed... so no use...it doesnt work

alright....the stock rom can be downladed from http://www.moulnisky.com download the version 5...that's the latest one...also download the universal drivers for MTK drvices from here.. http://www.datafilehost.com/d/b7ff7524..download sp flash tools from moulnisky or just google it...
then follow this...
INSTALLATION:
1. Install the universal drivers
2. Open SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1304.0.119
3. Select Scatter file from the downloaded ROM version
4.2.1 (extract downloaded file from winrar to different
folder)and select all files.
4.Goto options->select usb & select USB Mode& DA
Download All - & select force to High Speeds
5. Remove battery, Sim Cards & Memory Card
6. Press Firmware Upgrade (Don’t press download)
7. Insert USB data cable to PC & connect your phone & flash
tool will detect your phone& downloadingstart automatically
8. When you see green circle than you are done.
9. Remove the cable from your phone insert battery &
restart your phone.
10. It will take some times while re-starting.
11. You are done& you can insert sim cards & memory
card.

to increase internal partition size on MTK, see the video below
i accidently wiped internal storage and now terp showa no os and phone doesnt starts. people recommended me to install a custom rom.
so should i simply put the zip file in external sd card and flash using twrp? will it work?
note: moto e supports sd cards.

just place any twrp backup of stock rom on external sd or download custom rom then place it on external sd and flash via twrp...
OR flash stock 4.4.4 via fastboot.

Just install through mfastboot lot of threads are there in XDA.
I'm unable to flash anything through internal storage,, I'm simple not even able to access it through twrp after i clean wiped and flashed latest lineage rom!pls help me! :crying:

Backup your Internal Storage Data (Because its wipe your Internal storage)
Then in TWRP-->WiPE-->Formatedata Then rebbot system.

Did you format to F2FS? It's not widely supported. Use EXT4. No need to reboot.

I had the same problem, fixed by doing a clean MIUI (or any other ROM) install and installing TWRP, just after the ROM, without reboot.
You may try http://en.miui.com/thread-344450-1-1.html
This will install patched TWRP I got many errors with this. So the first method is preferred.
When i flash any rom with zxc recovery at booting it say uncryption unsuccessfully plz enter the correct password
I try wipe cache and data
Format your data partition!
+ Plus when flashing roms also patch the boot image so it does not get encrypted on next boot of rom.
SuperSu/Magisk and Custom Kernels have the above patch, plus a script called FED patcher.
TWRP doesn't work well with encrypted devices.
Format data
This is encrypted by the company..so to avoid this first you need to take a backup of the internal storage and then copy the ROM files and gapps in the SD card ..now open twrp recovery then click on wipe then format data...then type yes
This will format the internal data ..(SO PLEASE TAKE A BACK)
..Now install the ROM using sd card and enjoy the ROM..
