I rooted my SoftWiner EVB Tab (Android v4.0) just yesterday which was pre rooted (I didn't know that before). Now, I'm unable to install most of the apps in it & says that internal storage is low & to free up space. But,in settings, Total internal storage is shown to be zero with 40MB occupied by apps. The apps that I had installed isn't there though pre installed apps are there. The "/data" folder is shown empty (I think its unmounted) but with terminal emulator, I know its not empty but says permission denied. I've lost root as well. I've come to know that it roots automatically on factory reset. But,factory reset isnt working, though, switching on the device factory resets itself but the problem remains. And, no anyshortcuts and key combinations are working for reboot to recovery (and no app will be able to do as theres no root) . Any solutions and suggestions? Please help.

Hi,
I have found a weird problem on my toshiba folio 100
I'm using the toshiba rom (latest version, no mods) and i did install/uninstall quite some apps.
At a certain time, I tried reinstalling an app. It installed, but failed to run. As i'm also developing a bit, i checked the behaviour of adb logcat. Here I saw that the uid that tha app gets was not the one that was requested (I leave the details). I temporary rooted the device with psneuter to see what was going on, and I have noticed the following:
- at uninstall time, the app storage folder in /data/data is not removed
- The storage size in "manage applications" is almost always around 10 Kb, altough several apps have 10mb of data in there
- because the folder is not removed (logcat "couldnt remove /data/data/appname"), it is reused after reinstalling an app. If the userid is already used by another app, it will get a new uid, but fail to access its internal storage. The new uid has no access to the old folder which has still permisions on the old uid.
This is not happening in the 2.2 rom of the dev emulator (This one cleans correctly).
Is there anyone else with this issue? Is it a folio bug or did I do something (or an app) to cause this?
Just to check:
Is there anyone that has an application under "Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> <App>" - Storage - Data that report more than 20Kb? (e.g. a mail app that has enough data). This with recent stock rom.
I have the impression that some library call is missing or not working (but again, I don't know the cause).
I also see a lot of messages in the adb logcat reporting unknown permissions, mostly related to "vending"... (android market is not on the tablet...)
Hey there.
my father's phone is galaxy 2 9100T on stock rom and it shows that "low storage error".
now, i had this problem myself about a year ago when i had sgs2 but my phone was rooted and i had rootbrowser on,
so i found that the log files pile up like crazy and i deleted them, and like magic the phone got back to normal.
So i rooted his phone but there is a problem, i cant install anything not even the rootbrowser that is about 2MB, but as i check there are about 80MB free of memory, but as long as the error "low storage" appears i cant install nothing. moreover, i deleted allllll the apps that i possibly could even cleared app data of the entire phone, i just cant get this error message off and install the app.
there is absolutely no apps on this phone..
is there a way to approach this files from my pc and get them deleted??
can i force install the app even when the error shows?
is there anything that you can recommend??
Thanks!

You should try doing a factory reset and wipe your cache partition in recovery mode (after turning off your phone, press and hold volume up, home, power.) If still doesn't work, then try a different rom. You can repartition your app storage and your phone internal storage for optimal storage usage, but then you will need to use the pit files and flash it using odin which will delete your apps and data.
Thanks. .
I will try to do so..

Hey,
I solve the problem using the ADB Shell commands and the phone root privileges using my pc.
I deleted the content of "/data/log" using "rm -r /data/log" , there was hundreds of .log files each about 2 MB which used 1.8 gigs of the internal memory of the phone.
it was very frustrating process, but hey.. i did it..
My phone is a (cheap) Wiko Ozzy. I know it's not the greatest machine ever but it does the job for my mobile needs (being able to quick search the internet everywhere and communications), it was only 80€ new and it comes with no bloatware but google's. Also to root it a simple framaroot run does the job.
I have the phone customized alot, many xposed tweaks, automate, nova laucher, gravity box. The rom is the stock 4.2.2
One day I was messing up with android tweaker 2 and changed the dalvik heap size. When I reboot it the did not boot... It had that vibration key feedback problem. lol....
I went into recovery mode and made a backup... Yes, I did not had one and made it after the boot problem.
For my luck Wiko has a website with the roms they put on phones for download. With a simple program you can reinstall the rom very easily. I did it and my phone booted. I then tried to restore the backup I had previously done and for my surprise it boot with all my customizations but root access and busybox that I had to reinstall.
So what is the problem you ask?
Well I lost access to the phone storage and now It says Im out of space when I try to install apps
I used to have SDcard, Internal Storage and Phone Storage.
And I used to have the option to default install on sdcard and phone storage. The phone storage option disappeared but on the bottom of the page there is a mount option for it that just wont work.
I also tried to access it on windows and even after formatting the phone storage drive (windows was prompting for it and since the phone worked all fine without access to it I did it) the problem persisted...
Can you help me please?
I wanted to make the apps install on phone storage without having to make a real factory reset so I dont end without all my tweaks...
No one have any ideas?
I dont know what more can I add...
The phone is working fine... the only thing missing is one of the three partitions I had before the reinstall...
The weirdest to me is that in the storage settings I have the option to mount the "Phone Storage" but it fails.
I click it and the bars for type of files appears and disappears a few seconds later with the notification: you can safely remove phone storage....
Now I cant even install Adobe Air to try .swf viewer because it says it is out of space... It's like it ignores the sdcard default install option (the only one I have now and that is selected).
Hi guys.
Can anyone tell me if its possible to remove all syncadapters from the opengapps package somehow.
I already have found contacts and calendar sync, but app data, people details...are still there.
Is it tightly coupled with the playstore and not possible to remove, or are there just certain apks that I've missed.
Basically I want a completely stripped down package with only the playstore and nothing else.
Thanks.
huawei y329
my friends huawei y320 u10 gapps and many other process keep crashing (android core is one of it). and its spamming error message
tried factory reset, it said reset success, but all my data is still there and the crashing persist.
tried flashing the stock firmware, it said success, but everything from before the flash is still there, and the crashing error persist. (tried adb ,and sd card)
and i also found that in the storage setting , there is an internal storage and phone storage. and i found that everything that is usually sdcard0 on my other phone.
there is an option to delete phone storage, but it also doesn't work (altough it said success.)
i also can't uninstall any app on that phone (currently there is : piano tiles, farm quest saga, instagram, weibo). everytime i tried to uninstall, launcher, setting, and nearly everything else crashes,
adb (at pc ) can't read the phone unless its doing install update from adb option (at the phone).

help
Hi,
I have a Galaxy Core Prime sm-g360v and I have rooted with KingRoot. I have had link2sd installed for 6 months now but all of the sudden when I reboot some apps no longer show up in my apps menu or link2sd. A message appears every time I boot about how some functionality is missing and I may need to factory reset (from android system, not from link2sd) but this has appeared before and I had all my apps. The missing apps were random (pubg gone but not other games, etc.) I also had Apps2SD installed so I went there and they did not show up, but their package names DID show up under the recover option. Which is odd, because all my normal apps that showed up there too had their app names and icons, these missing apps only had package name. I tried to restore but it always fails. Can someone please help me out? Not sure if it is an SD corruption problem, and if it is, not sure how to fix it.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated! :good:
