[Q] Problèmes with my AOKP ROM - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, I actually have a Samsung galaxy s3 i9300, I finally installed after having some technical problems the AOKP rom, but here is my strange problem : my phone isn't rooted anymore ! I don't think that many people already had this curious problem so, anyone knows how it actually can be ?
Thanks a lot

First, what ROM did you install? Some ROM's strangely don't come pre-rooted, so you'll need to install SuperSU zip in recovery to be rooted.

I installés thé AOKP's KitKat ROM with the Google apps pack
I did a backup with clockworkmod before so I kept my apps including supersu but obviously it does not work anymore I don't get it. If I install ssu ZIP in recovery will it ne enough to get back my root ?

Wow that's a problem I can't install ZIP in recovery anymore
Maybe something is missing in my phone, something like the bootloader ?

[Q] Upgraded to ICS but now market/play is missing

So i upgraded to ICS but now the andriod market/google play app is missing and i cannot dl any other apps bc of this. when i go the google play website, the device is listed but faded and cannot be selected. Please help thank you. this was the rom i used for ics i got from this site. thanks.
did you flash the latest gapps via cwm after installing the rom?
i dont know what that is or how to do it.
well im assuming since you got a custom rom on it, you managed to install clockwork recovery (cwm). can you link the thread that you followed to get the rom on your tab for me please?
i followed these directions but i didnt purposely install a cwm. after reading what it was, i thought it was just the DOS looking screen where you load things using the buttons on the top (like how you reformat it).
yaknow---theandroidsoul.com/ice-cream-sandwich-galaxy-tab-10-1-wifi----
i wasn't aware you can install a custom rom through stock recovery. anyway the file you need is this
http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120317-signed.zip
i don't know if whatever recovery you're using will install it, since i've only ever flashed roms and gapps via cwm
so i install as like an update like i did the ics rom?

[Q] Root after flashing 4.3 Custom ROM

Hello,
First of all thanks to all developers and people who helps noobs like me.
I've installed S4 Revolution Rom v 9.1 from RagzDog on my Galaxy S3. My question after making some research and not being clear enough:
¿How to root my pone again? I have the SuperSU App but shows a message "No SU binaries installed and Super SU cant install it, if You just update to 4.3 you need to manual re-root"
Please, if there is a thread explaining this or showing steps i must do I would like to know. I`ve tried to find some information but no luck.
Regards
P.D. Sorry my english is not so good.
Custom rom is always pre-rooted, wipe and reflash.

1- If you are asking about "how to install a 4.4 custom ROM for your i9100, you need CWM 6.0.4.6 or 6.0.4.7, and the recovery can do the rest for you in terms of flashing and all.
2- If you are looking for a KitKat Compatible recovery, I would rather advise you doing some searching or simply googling "CWM-6.0.4.7-I9100.zip" and downloading it to your SD card in order to flash it.
However, the only way to install the new Kitkat based firmwares for the i9100 imply you to use the latest CWM (or TWRP latest) in order to have support for metadata, and if I didn't answer your question, simply be more specific (your current ROM, OS version, Kernel... etc)

[Q] Problems with flashing my I9300

Hello guys,
my name is Raphnika and I am complete new to this.
I've tried to flash my Samsung S3 with a custom ROM like the Pacman one.(KK 4.4 or something like that).
I was not able to install it on my device so I tried the Android Revolution HD ROM and that worked for me fine.
It seems like I am not able to flash any KK ROMs to my S3. I keep getting a Status 7 Error...
I googled it and tried many solutions but none of them worked. It might be to the fact that I am a complete noob to this.
I hope you guys can help me!
lots of greetings,
Raph
