Case w/ camera lens protection/cover? - Nexus 6 Accessories

I need a really rugged case for my nexus 6... i work around abrasives a lot and I do NOT want my camera lens or screen to get scratched, which is why I will be finding a good tempered glass screen. Does anyone know of a case that has built in camera lens cover protection? I wish there was something like lunatik for this thing... thanks guys

think this would work to protect my camera lens? Not sure the difference between the nexus 5 and 6 as far as the camera lens are concerned...

You can try it but I think the N5 is flat and the N6 is slightly concave.

Can the camera lens be replaced?

I've noticed that my camera is already a little scratched up and I think a year down the line it may be pretty scratched, can the lens be replaced?
Don't think so. U probably need to replace the whole cam.
Anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to prevent camera lens scratch? I hate having a case on the phone, but if the phone is put on a table the lens is in contact with the surface... would a screen protector work?
I would buy any clear screen protector and make the cutout. It shouldn't mess with the clarity.
I put a clear tape over the camera when its not in use,

I've replaced it before on my HTC HD2. It's not so hard, once the bevel is removed the outer glass falls right out. Got my replacement from Ebay.
Sent from my AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note using the XDA Premium app.
Camera protection is actually one of the main reasons I love the flip cover by Samsung. The replacement back is just a tad thicker than the stock cover around the camera lens and cause it to recess a bit protecting it from surface scratches from just being placed down.

Glass camera lens cover?

Just wanted to know if the transparent cover over the rear camera is made of plastic or glass? If anyone can check this out for me it would help my purchase decision.
Awesome guys, I finally managed to examine one myself. The rear camera has glass over it. Great quality considering top OEMs still cover their cameras in plastic.

Camera Lens Protector

Has anyone used a film or tempered glass protector for their camera lens? I found DevilCase makes 2 options and I was considering the tempered glass option and I didn't know how it might impact the picture quality of the camera.
Hey man,
Just found your post here thought I could give some advice.
I was experimenting one day and found that a hole puncher's hole was about the same size as the camera lens.
I decided to poke a hole with a hole punch in an old screen protector I had lying around. Was sort of hard to put on but worked like a charm.
Hope I could help

Camera lens protector

I saw there are camera lens protectors available.
Are they useful.? And do they not affect the image quality?
I do not have experience with them.
Guess no one does...
Haven't seen those yet. I'm wondering if they're using a sapphire lens like they have been? Anyone know what its made of on the u11. If it is, you're fine without.
IMO camera lens protector are not necessary if you are using any kind of case to protect the phone, usually the cases are thick enough to prevent the camera lenses from getting scratched

Protector for camera bump?

Is anyone planning on putting extra glass over the cameras? This shouldn't effect the photo quality or AF, right? Any recommended brands out there? Or are you just relying on the raised bezel for whatever case your're using to protect the camera array?
I'll only protect mine with a ringke case, although I'm worried about possible scratches in the future.
The usual go to case for my phones, Spigen Tough Armor, this time comes with only a thin lip over the camera lens and screen. There is like a 0.1mm clearance once I installed dbrand camera skin. I am disappointed in the casing. The past 2 series (Samsung Note 10+ and iPhone 11 Pro Max) had thick camera lens clearance (almost like 0.5cm).
im worried that it may screw up the TOF sensor or somehow mess with the quality of the pics...
anyone have experience on previous phones?
I protect my camera lens with the gadgetshieldz skin or camera protector, The camera protector protects my camera lens from scratches.
I have a dbrand skin on it that covers everything but the actual surface needed for pictures. Don't think I need more than that. Also after watching all the drop test the camera is the last thing that will break or stop working.
They have "tempered glass" screen protectors on Amazon for preorder. There is a hole cut out for the flash and mic. I know it's not quite the same but I've had a tempered glass screen protector on my gropro without any issues.
The camera glass is so big on the s20 ultra, it feels like it needs a screen protector. For $10 on Amazon it might be worth trying out.

Only problem I'm concerned with is the auto focus having even more issues with an extra layer of glass.

Yeah I rock my phones ceaseless but have the entire back with dbrand and a dome shield on the screen. I feel really good about the look and feel of my device.
Just applied the tempered glass screen protector for my phone. It looks good without flash. But when I use the flash, the shot looks hazy. This is going to be a no go for the tempered glass screen protector. See the picture I attached.
How do I record calls in samsung s20 Ultra. Can some one please help ?

Be best if someone did a glass lens cover that had cutouts for every camera / sensor - rather than risking performance issues by covering them.
Does anyone know of an option like this? - All the ones I can see only have the cutout the for the flash or flash and TOF .. but not the cameras.
Other option is to use a transparent skin i suppose..
Spigen Neo-Hybrid.
this one is pretty coolhttp://imgur.com/a/h5RWQAp
Otterbox defender pro. 44 at walmart. Best money I spent. Shockingly not too bulky.

I got one with the flash & mic cutout & it works great, not noticing any auto focus issues or flash diffusion. They're pretty thin and scratch resistant I'd say its worth giving it a go.

Got a link?
I got the ESR one
I've got a Mocolo 9H hardness lens protector, works perfectly
I found this and installed it to get a little extra protection for the Camera Glass - the fit is good - installs easy and I have not noticed any issues when using the Flash. It does require that youi carefully place the screen protector on the camera bump (glass) lining up the holes correctly - but they do give you four screen protectors if the first attempt doesn't work. You can find them here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08546Q3LJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
