Horsetastic's AutoBrightness MOD
I was getting annoyed with the battery drain from the screen so decided to mod the brightness values for myself.
I am by no means a developer so cannot promise this will work, any doom that may occur as a result of flashing this mod is at your own risk!
Save zip to sdcard and install by flashing from recovery. Simples
Any issues let me know.

Stock CloudyG3 framework files for those who flashed on of the older versions of the MOD to return framework back to origional. These are not needed if you've only flashed V6 as that doesn't replace framework any more. Note that flashing stock framework back will break any theme you have installed and ensure to backup before flashing in-case of DOOM!

If you extract your framework-res.apk and upload it I'll mod if for you.
I'll put a new link in a bit too.

Waiting 20H Brightness MOD , or change the Rom??
I would really like the idea to low down the brightness a little bit more.
Unfortunatly I am on another rom, that is my first rom : chupa chups based on 20H.
I will stay tuned, in order to know if it comes for my rom, because I don't know if it worth to change rom only for this awesome Mod.
In your opinion it worth to change the rom for this?
Reinstall all the applications?
Maybe I will wait a little bit.

It's not necessary an awesome mod yet. I don't know for sure if the values are going to be actually any better. So I'll need feedback. Tbh I'm surprised nobody has actually played with the values yet.
I'll post up the other framework files people have linked to soon but won't be able to test them.
This isn't a ROM either. Its just a flashable MOD. So no need to start over.

It seems strange its not been done in any of the custom roms though.
OK so say 1 seems that my values actually made battery life worse haha. Going to see how tomorrow goes then tighten then up a bit.
Edit. Just realised that I didn't charge my phone last night. It's actually done quite well. But I think it can be better still.

To be fair it will 'probably' work fine in any lollipop rom. But don't quote me on that. Note, not AOSP or CM variants of course.

You can use the mod on any rom on the world I should imagine. Just not the modded framework. It's only lollipop based. 20H.
I was going to write a guide to how to do the mod but there are so many out there already it seemed mad to.
I will if people really want it though. It's dead easy really.
New version up!

Super-lightweight stock ROM with minimal tweaks.
Also, it's fast. Did I mention it's fast? Maybe not in benchmarks but it's very snappy and smooth in actual usage. You won't believe it unless you try it. In fact, this is the ROM that I've been using since I made it 2 months ago.
Q: "Is it just a stripped ROM?"
A: Yes, it is, but have you seen other ROMs like this? Almost every stock-based ROM out there are heavily modded, that's why I made this.
Q: "When did this ROM start?"
A: It started for the Wildfire and then X10 based on stock Eclair (released on MoDaCo only).

Updated 16 November. Fixed problems with missing xRecovery and not booting. It was an error on my side, sorry guys!
update-Leaf-GB-r3.zip (81.4 MB / xRecovery)
Package doesn't wipe data. You can flash this over any ROM that is based on stock (ThGo2, Wolfs TW, X10x EWJet, T.E.A.M, Ultima, Blue Sparks etc.) and retain data.
Installation
1. Copy zip package to SD card
2. Boot into xRecovery
3. (OPTIONAL) For a clean install, do a full wipe
4. Flash zip package
5. Reboot

I will give it a go... lol.. I have tried so many ROM in the last few days.....
As a request, can you add the following tools...
1. Link2SD
2. AdFree
BTW: Does anyone ever use the Email program that it comes with? I was hoping to remove it
I will let you know in a couple of days.
I'll try including Link2SD and ad-block is already included.

Thanks, I also change the default launcher to Nemus launcher (marketplace).
At the moment I am sitting on 180mb RAM free.. which is unusually high, but that is also very nice if it is true.
I am going to install some of my apps to see how I go.
Great Job, I am going to stick to your ROM for the next few days.

sterling?
Audio is the same with stock SE camera.
Sterling work = good/respectable work
May have to try this ROM as it's my wife's X10, not mine, and the only issue we've found on all custom 2.3 ROMs is really quiet audio recording when using the videocamera.
Having said that, I flashed your Gingervillain port yesterday and although it has the quiet audio recording thing, the ROM is running really really well, so I may leave that on for a while yet......
Suggestions
Would it be possible to add restart, xrecovery to the power prompt menu as well as a modified battery icon and maybe if possible in any way to position the status bar on the bottom of the screen.
The reason for asking you to do the mods and not doing them myself is coz you are the dev and you may be implementing something similar already.
Thanks
I just installed it! I´ll try it and report thank you!

xLoud
Bravia Engine
FPS uncap

Correct.
Xperia xUX.
FINAL version.
for Gingerbread 4.0.2.A.0.62
Well, hello again, fellows!
Just joking. I was improving and changing theme in a lot of ways.
In the end it looks like a nice(In my opinion at least ) hybrid of Xperia NXT interface, ICS interface and GB interface.
With some things exclusively from me.
Q: On what Android I should install this?
A: On Gingerbread 2.3.4 build 4.0.2.A.0.62. Installing on ICS will result in a bootloop.
Installing on 2.3.4 v42 is NOT recommended, as it may result in a number of random bugs, like disappearing of statusbar.
Q: How do I shot web...emm...how do I install Xperia xUX?
A: Just flash it from Recovery. It should work.
If not, do the following:
1) Wipe /system folder.
2) Do a clean install of stock Gingerbread or Repack 4PDA(I recommend installing this, because I based my mod on this ROM and because it's fastest ROM I've ever seen).
3) Start the phone normally.
4) Make sure everything's working.
5) Reboot to Recovery.
6) Install my mod.
7) It should work now.
UPD: Just tried again.
It works 100%! Installation on Stock GB works, installation on Repack 4PDA does the trick too.
So follow this instruction!
Q: What does this mod include?
A: Well...137'$ see!
-Updated graphics - your phone will look COMPLETELY different!
-Some usability improvements, like Swipe-to-Remove-Notification made by Hansip87, switch track with volume rocker made by 7OH(but ported to this mod by me, this wasn't a piece of cake, believe me)
-Awesome Xperia bootanimation.
-New charging animation
-% on battery
-Switchers in notification pulldown
-Kill apps by long-pressing BACK button(which can be turn off)
-ICS style settings.
-And some others...

Ah man! I knew I forgot something!
It's for GB version 4.0.2.A.0.62.
Kernel? Any, as soon it's compatible with 4.0.2.A.0.62. I use Aire kernel.
KIK Messenger? If it's stable on stock 4.0.2.A.0.62, it should be stable on 4.0.2.A.0.62 with my mod. The changes in framework I've done wasn't so groundshaking to case instability in apps

You're installing it on Gingerbread 62?
I can confirm the bootloop too unfortunately, tried on .62 and .69.
The folders structure and updater-script are arranged in an odd way. Why not have only 2 folders in the zip? META-INF and system, inside system put everything and in the updater-script just put a line to mount system and flash everything at the same time, not folder by folder.
Hmm...

Yeeeeeeah! Finally! It's alive! ALIVE! >
Seriously, the problem of bootloop was solved extremely easy.
It's not like the mod is corrupted, no.
It's because I forgot to sign Recovery ZIP -_-
I've tried like seven times to install this mod on stock GB, on REPACK4PDA, and it works flawless.
So please download!

I am so sorry for not doing this earlier...I swear I've got it working without bootloop on clean GB, but today I tried to re-install it...boot-f***ing loop! @*&%!

But if you follow my instruction, everything should work fine!

Hey, Folks!
Here is my new ROM: Gingeclair!
It is, in fact, based on my very first attempt on a ROM. Wanting to make the transition from stock to custom ROM as easy as possible
and thus creating a ROM very similar in style and feel to stock, I started working on it, also inspired by BPaul´s SonyStyle...
Now, with slightly more knowledge about android , I have been optimizing it for the best performance.
IMPORTANT:
It actually comes in two versions: One compatible with the 2.6.32.61-nAa-jb-06 kernel, and one compatible with the old nAa-14 kernel.
Even more
IMPORTANT
I haven´t had time to test the 2.6.32.61-nAa-jb-06 compatible ROM, all I know is that it boots up, has lots of RAM and a working
Screenshot option , so USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
FEATURES
-built from latest sources
-many, many stock apps
-stock Theme (thanks to BPaul)
-fast and smooth
-partially odexed
-loads of RAM
-nearly 170 mb free on /data partition
Installation:
-Download a kernel (either nAa-06 or nAa-14)
-Download the compatible ROM on to your sd
-In CWM, make a full wipe
-Flash the kernel
-Flash the Rom
-Reboot
DOWNLOADS:

I tried to install your rom again doing a SEUS and then flashing the latest nAa-06 kernel and then wipe /system, /sd-ext, /data, /dalvik cache, /cahe etc. i even downloaded your rom once more just incase there was issue with earlier install. still same problem, it stops in bootanimation..i kept it that way for 10 mins.
hope you have not mistakenly named your roms incorrectly, meaning what is for nAa-14 in the filename is for nAa-06
came back to your nAa-14 rom, used it for 8 hrs yesterday haven't found any bug yet..will report as i find one..thanks for good work...

Lockscreen
I will compile Eclair lockscreen for this ROM when I get home from work today ( all PNGs are ready  )
EDIT: Messed up the XML.... not ready today
I'm almost there with the lockscreen
Top row is my mod for GDX30 (making it for Gingeclair 1.0.0 later too, haha - incl all build-files in a zip for you all), bottom row is stock screenshots from my wifes stock Eclair
Xperia Eclair Lockscreen
Here is the result so far.
It's made up from the original keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml from stock framework-res.apk with all the CM7 features and of course has my advanced Xperia S Lockscreen feature with swipe to media player. I havn't edited the landscape-lockscreen yet.
Moved the carrier label to the bottom
Moved alarm label to top in front of battery icon
Resized clock and date
Edited a new calendar icon with Eclair-look (based on a PNG found in the stock SemcCalendar.apk)

3Minit Battery ModBy @gharringtonOriginal 3Minit Thread
For those that do not know what this mod is about...and do not want to follow the provided link to the original thread. Lol. This mod allows you to view an increasing 1,100 battery types, from different users. With a single click, the battery will download and set itself on to the status bar.
Storage space is not affected by thousands of unused .png's. They're stored on a server and the App only downloads the type you use. As you can see. This is an impressive mod. All those that donated in the original thread really do deserve a Thanks. I for one, Love to be able to change my Ugly battery icon to match my theme. :good:
I, nor gharrington, Do Not take any responsibility for anything that happens to YOUR device. Always make a Backup First.
I want to start by saying this is NOT my work. I have only used the Devs work to Modify our SysytemUI.apk so we can use his Awesome app.
I will be uploading the required files for certain roms, to be able to use this mod. As well as instructions on how to apply it. It is very easy as I have already made the required modifications to the SystemUI.apk.
Downloads for Instructions and App
This dropbox link has in it 3 files.
1) MinitBatteryResources.apk = You will need to push this to system/apps and set permissions to 6-5-5. But first you must create a folder in system/apps called MinitBatteryResources and set permissions to 7-5-5. Then put apk inside it.
2)The 3MinitBatterySettings.apk = is used to change the battery icons. You can use this included apk. Or ( and I suggest this ) Buy the paid version from the playstore.
3) The other file is instructions on pushing this mod to your device.
Downloads for Rom specific SystemUI.apks
Bliss rom. This is for the vs985 Bliss rom. Based on 6.0.1. ( 1/15 )
Bliss rom. This is for the vs985 Bliss rom. Based on 6.0.1 ( 1/30 )
S-Reborn rom. This is for the vs985 S+Reborn rom. Based on 6.0.1 ( 2/5 )
CyanideL ( Dev Edition ). This is for CyanideL dev Edition rom. It is not found on XDA. Its on Google+. It is based on 5.1.1
Download Section For P4Wifi ( Galaxy Tab 10.1 wifi only ) AOSP 6.0 Unofficial ( 2015/12/11 ). This is for my fellow p4wifi users. We refuse to let our Tab die. Lol.
Please Thank Gharrington for his Awesome work. But also lets try to keep questions in This thread. As it is for our device. They are very helpful in the Original thread. But I do not want us clogging it with questions that can be answered here.
Thanks.

The systemui.apk can only be used with the ROM it is pulled from. So to use it on stock. You would need to mod the stock systemui.apk from that ROM. You can pull ur framework-res.apk and Systemui.apk and send me a link and I can mod them for u. But as I don't have that device. No promises if it works. It should though. But stock systemui is sketchy.
I will have an update for bliss 1/15 sometime later today or early tomorrow. But I'm moving, so it may be the next day.

If ur ROM is odexed I can't make the mod work. It will have to be deodexed. There are guides here on XDA about how to do it.

New Bliss Modded SystemUI.apk for 1/15 build is Up.
From now on I will be keeping the previous SystemUI.apks up, starting with 1/15. Most likely I will keep the last three builds. That way if anybody has a build they like or runs better on their device. It will be available.
Enjoy
Thanks for this MOD!! Have always loved the 3minit Battery MODs!!!
Paul
OK all. I know we have a new build for Bliss about to drop. But I'm in the middle of moving and don't have my Linux machine. But I'm going to look into doing the mod on my windows laptop. If I can work it. We will have the new systemui.apk up a day after it drops. If I can't. It will be a little longer.
Thanks.
Awesome is it usefull on stock rooted MM rom??

This particular modded systemui.apk will not work with anything but the ROM its pulled from. That goes for pretty much every systemui.apk. As for stock. This mod requires the ROM be deodexed. There is a stock ROM with this mod available for flashing floating around in the Verizon threads.
New build for bliss 1/21 should be up later. I just got apktool running right on my old xp laptop. Lol. Sorry for the wait.
Edit.. Sorry all. I have apktool working and am able to make the necessary changes to the SystemUI.apk. But for some reason the ROM is not accepting it. So I need to look and see what changes happened upstream in git. This I can't do until I'm home in Chicago. It might even be my laptop messing something up, as I'm doing this mod on windows for the first time. I'm assuming it has something to do with apktool though. Should have it sorted out Friday or Saturday.
Sorry again all.
Well guys I have the mod working on the latest build. But it seems to be causing random reboots from different points and times. So I will need to take a look deeper into the issue. A couple days maybe. I might have to enlist some help. Lol.
Thx.
Update
Ok guys and gals. I have the mod working again on Bliss for the vs985. Its for the 1/30 build. I couldnt get the mod to work right on the previous build. Even on my Linux machine. Sorry. But it is up and working great on 1/30, even running the latest Nebula kernel from @Eliminater74 .
If you get a black screen when you reboot the first time. Just hold Vol down and Power button until reboot screen appears and pick continue boot. It will boot fine from there.
I do advise making a backup first, as our rom and this kernel are in development and 3minit is as well. Which is great news for us. As we get to run the latest and greatest from these Awesome Devs.
UpdateAs Bliss is no longer being maintained. I will not be updating this thread for it again. If you are on the latest Bliss release and wish to have this mod still. Just post your framework-res.apk , SystemUI.apk and org.cyanogenmod.platform-res.apk and I will mod it for you. Dont forget to mention me...as I might miss your post.
UpdateI have moved to the S+Reborn rom...it is really slick all. I have updated the OP with the modded SystemUI.apk. Have Fun
Thanks

new topic, since version 2.0 was one of the most stable, if someone has problems with the 3.5 can go to 2.0 without problems and sets a topic for each. And yes, the mod comes with uninstaller.
Hi, can you explain how to install it? Maybe some people can't understand ''Before installing Make sure you made changes to build.prop or have other scripts/mods installed in init.d , you should remove it to avoid conflicts!'' means, like me. Great work and thank you.

Thanks for the help!
rollercoaster battery
Hello,
First of all thanks to the developer. Having said that I must admit that this mod does not work for me. I have stock rom with solid kernel, I used to get 4h screen time. With this mod on I only get 3h screen time and the battery does something really funny. It may be at 50% when I start using the phone, and when I finish using it the battery would be at 30% I switch off the screen and 15 min later (or whatever) the battery is back to 50%. It is really a rollercoaster.
I will install Pegasus 2.0 to see if it is any better and report back.
Worked fine for me. Thanks! :good:
