I was trying to make a wallpaper based on stock which would look good on my white note 4. Tried different ones, then I thought why not upload them, who knows, someone might like them.

Made these for black S5. Maybe they look good on black note 4 (black note 4 is not pure black, it's a bit grey) but you can try . 1080p should be fine, since samsung stock wallpapers aren't 1440p either.
Smooth and clean wallpapers
HQ QHD wallpapers made with love for your beastly device. To be honest I made them for the new S6 and S6 edge (based on phone's color), but they look cool on the note 4 too no doubt. Download the .zip file for max quality since xda compresses image files decreasing image quality. Hope you guys like them.
I never leave comments about wallpapers as they are all average, but love these!
Awesome!

That file doesnt have images from the OP.
@mkim055
Not all of them due to overwriting. Here are 8 with full res and quality. Didn't know xda compression was so strong.

This boot.img should work. I haven't played with it too much, but dalvik starts to process and then dies.
I'm uploading my progress now. Working symlinking, ext-partition with ~200 MB+ required.
Doesn't boot up due to surfaceflinger issues.
I will send cyanogen a log about it.
This is so amazing. Thanks to all the dev's trying to get this to work. Did any of you figure out why the normal apps are 2-3 times larger in the HD than desire ROM?
Here you go.

See my last post to see what's broken.
I believe the reason of the apps being so much bigger is because of all the png's being higher quality
If I'm wrong then I can't see why it should be called HTC Desire "HD" cause screen resolutionis the same as nexus?!

The apps are completely different, based off new sense all hdpi none are mdpi all are on 240dpi
anything less will look weird.
Yeah I see

If that's the case, will reducing the PNG size makes any differences. Maybe we will get slightly less noticable quality issue but on the plus side.. huge gains in space.

I've tried that, but the PNG's are compressed as low as possible by HTC, any less and you would get a JPG = no transparency.
I know nobody including you would like transparent images to have a white background.

What about reducing the size of the image? some will scale i believe?
Why aren't we trying to port sense from desire z? It should be the same sense system just fitted to 3.4" screens and probably not as good quality png as in the hd?
@ralle.gade Cause we haven't any dump file from Desire Z right now, i think.

nice additional features .. ace rom ported to HD2
My camera is viewing everything grainy that is dark / blackish, but once I take the photo it comes out almost fine but still a small amount of grainy looking colors but only in dark. This happens to all my camera apps, the ones in the rom i am using and the ones I downloaded from market
Could it be my Phone itself has a bad camera? (it was an exchanged phone) or could it be the rom?
Do you have the FFC mod? Mine is grainy in dark since I put the rev 2 ffc (no banding). Original camera was excellent.

Nope, just one off a 2.3.5 rom
I attached two pics, one is a photo of how the pictures look on my phone while the other is the actual .jpg file on the SD card, so I am not sure whats wrong
How was it on your rom before this current rom? From your posts I assume you have miui? You try another rom? The JPEG file looks fine to me, the screenshot of the screen (lol) looks like it has artifacts but that can be due to alot of things.

Heya Guys,
I've been trying to customise my GSIII but I'm finding it really tough to find wallpapers that take full advantage of the resolution. I've noticed that 1280 x 720 wallpapers fit perfectly and appear really sharp as lockscreen images but they are really hard to find on Google Images.
I've also heard that 1440 x 1280 should work great as my home screen wallpaper yet it appears blurry and not very sharp ... Do you guys know any good places to find wallpapers? This is really disappointing since with my old phone I could have thousands to choose from.

There was a thread here @xda in general or app section with all the 1280x720 wallpapers. A search might bring you the thread.
It was titled some "HD wallpaper collection" or something like that.. not so sure..

On my phone, no matter the resolution, the lockscreen image will always appear blurry! i had to disable the s3 ripple effect (was using stock rom then) to make it clear again.
not sure whether this would help you. Anyway back on topic, for my phone i used resolution of 1440 x 900 and they looked great
Not to use sarcastic comments but a Google search would suffice
Click the images tab and then on the left look for advanced I think it is and then you can put your own res in
Hope this helps

This is definitly the best site for HD wallpapers: http://wallbase.cc
I've got a dozens of wallpapers, and I got all of them from refined Google Images searches.
A wp that looks good ("pretty!") on the PC screen doesn't necessarily work well as a wallpaper, specially if there will be lots of icons and widgets on top if it.
I was just reading about the various aosp roms out, aswell as tw ones offcourse and i see a lot of comments stating how people miss the "TW camera".
Correct me if I'm wrong here but isn't it just simply software here with tw having more features vs aosp being generic among all kinds of devices?
Does quality really suffer here due to that? Different processing?
Hardware is still the same so pictures should be damn close....
Not sure...

I'm by no means an expert, but I'm currently running the latest CM nightly and it does seem to be a slightly lesser quality, but it could be just me. Pictures still look great, but I'm also missing some of the TW Camera's features. I love showing off the features of that camera, but I prefer running AOSP or AOKP to TW. Hopefully we can get a port of the app for AOSP, but I'm not sure if thats possible.
The latest version of hyperdrive ROM includes both camera's.

Any rom can. There is flashable zip
I'm going to check for the features of both as I've not used these much but through favorable posts here so why to remain bare handed with such an efficiency
I think the issue with the AOSP camera may be just the way the video is displayed. With the TW camera it looks phenomenally good, AOSP not so much, but the pictures themselves look similar. I only used AOSP a few times, but I felt better about the focusing on the TW camera, maybe because the video was so sharp you could really tell when you had the focus you wanted...which is kind of a big deal for quick snapshots of people.
I have been comparing photos taken using the tw camera and the camera that ships with carbon and I honestly think the carbon pictures look better.

TW was way better than the current AOSP i am using x.x
There's a direct camera comparison of the Google Edition vs TW edition here.
http://www.androidcentral.com/google-play-edition-htc-one-and-samsung-galaxy-s4
yeah its software but the software helps enhance the image. thing is that the aosp camera lacks simple features that every OEM camera has... for example, iso control. it boggles my damn mind that aosp refuses to add iso control. that's something that I use daily.

Used this on the touchwiz roms and worked fine. Haven't tried any aosp roms on the phone yet so can't comment on that.
Definitely a difference in quality. AOSP camera pictures tend to be slightly more grainy, at least from what I've noticed. I have both on Hyperdrive right now and, even after just playing with the AOSP camera, it's pretty clear that there is, at the very least, a slight difference.
Seems like a very noticeable difference to me. Stock TW with this phone was absolutely mind-blowing. Now I'm running Liquid and I love every single thing about it, but the camera is lacking. I don't mind not having the features, but the lower quality makes me consider switching back to TW.
I wonder if someone could figure out the camera enough to make the pictures be on par with tw
I just installed the google edition rom and haven't noticed any difference...then again I don't normally pay attention to that kind of stuff (unless the difference is glaring).
Is it the sharpness, light, dynamic range that doesn't compare?
Anyone try to flash the touchwiz camera on CM?
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
I'm running PureGv3 and can honestly say I don't notice any stark difference in my photos. Granted, I haven't viewed them on an actual full screen, but I'm not a pixel connoisseur.
One thing I have noticed, however, is that my AOSP camera is just plain faster. I didn't need all the bells and whistles from TW. I just wanna take pictures. I HATED that "Processing..." screen I would occasionally get with my TW camera. I swore sometimes it took more than two full seconds to add a photo. Now it just zips right in there. I couldn't be happier.
Hey guys,
I like the look of the OnePlus wallpapers, so I made custom QHD versions.
Here is the imgur Link: http://imgur.com/a/zuQfi
If they look compressed you can download the original files here (including a .PSD file to make them yourself!):
http://penlane.me/fileserver/uploads/OnePlus_Walls_QHD.zip
If you have any requests and provide good enough source material (qHD!) I can try to make them for you
Originals found here: http://abstruct.co/
Greetings.

Sorry for the confusion I meant the resolution of our Axon7 which is 1440p.
Hi, thank you very much for that and specially for the psd. data, just changed mine a little bit to fit this special device.
And how it looks on my Homescreen.
