Because to add the apn settings it gave you a new menu. The menu is based off the stock. That's why you lost your custom options. By the way I'm pretty sure beans already had apn options so you don't need that anyways.
Dirty flash your ROM and you'll have it all back

Hi all
I've succesfully deodexed my stock rooted 5.0.2 (AOE3) system on my s6-g925f with the help of ultimatewaffel, _alexandr and svadev's deodexing tool
SO I'm up and running with everything working after fixes and patches of ultimatewaffel
Only issue left is NFC, which if I use the toggle stays semi-yellow and of course nothing is activated
Also if I go throught the settings menu, every option is greyed-out and disabled
If it's a matter of kernel, that is stock, then it's ok I won't do anything, but if it's something else....
Please don't start to tell me to update to 5.1.1 because I use sammy smart view app to stream my tv's contecnt on my phone display and this is not working on 5.1.1 which needs a non-stock kernel to be rooted!! Also I have my knox intact and I've already made so many changes, so please help if you can on the NFC issue!
Thank you all
EDIT: SOLVED with help of ultimatewaffle.!!!!!
Thanks

Does Samsung publish a hash file so I can make sure it's unmolested?
Thanks, took 10 seconds to transfer.

the site is going through maintenance- just wait until monday when it is finished
All Samsung odin files are md5 files. when you put them in odin. odin first hashchecks the file before flashing. The first things it tries to flash is the bootloader and other important bits. which take about 3 to 4 seconds. that fails if the files and phone do not match. its all very safe.
MD5 doesn't guarantee that this is an unmodified image, it only guarantees the integrity of the download.
I flashed the Sammobile version of this yesterday, so far so good. I simply flashed it without wiping and rebooted, and all my apps, homescreen, etc, were still intact. Wifi calling was also back, it had disappeared on the previous build, no idea why. I then booted back into download mode and flashed TWRP & SU. Took about 15 minutes in total.
I'm currently on CM13. What's the quickest/easiest method to get the modem update?
I have a nandroid of stock. I suppose I could restore that, use ODIN on PC to flash stock recovery, update firmware, and flash back to TWRP.
Is there a faster way or a method that doesn't require a computer? Does Mobile ODIN work for this?
Nandroid, download the update from Sammobile and flash it with Odin, install TWRP, flash CM13, don't wipe. Don't know if mobile works. You don't need stock recovery. /data is not touched by the update, so no need to wipe or restore it.
Instead of flashing CM13, I could just restore the system from the nandroid, right? I have a lot of system apps that I would need to set up again otherwise.
Sure would be nice if we could flash just the modem update with Mobile Odin.
Yes. Why do you run CM13?

I had been waiting for bugs to be worked out of 14.1, and for xposed to support it. I've decided that 13 is now too far behind in security updates, so I've just installed 14.1. Hoping I don't have to go without xposed for too long.
I should have been more specific in my question! Why run CM at all rather than a debloated Samsung rom? I used to run CM in the early days, but gave up a long time ago because of the problems with proprietary drivers. There's always something that doesn't work, or doesn't work as well as a rom based on stock.
All the features work for me without problems on CM13. The phone is a bit snappier too.
I gave up on stock because TouchWiz is too limiting. I uses the flashlight a lot, and with TW you have to put a shortcut on the homescreen. On CM, I can put a shortcut on the lockscreen, or swipe down the notifications bar while on the lockscreen and use a notification button. I also leave my screen on for extended times when doing things like cooking. CM has had the notification button, for years, that lets you change the screen timeout.
I don't think TW has a single feature I actually use.
Anyway, I'm back to CM13 for now. CM14 still has a few bugs I don't like. Primarily, a bug were I sound really far away on a phone call.
You just don't know how to use TW! The notification shortcuts are configurable, you can move the flashlight button to the top, and it also works on the lockscreen. With xposed, you can also change the size of the icons and add more of them to the initial drop-down.
I'm aware that the notification shortcuts are configurable. The flashlight wasn't even an option as a notification shortcut or lockscreen button on stock MM 6.0.1.
It is on mine. All four versions of 6.01 I've used, including a modified rom.

Galaxy S5 MM 6.0.1 PK1 (Mostly) Stock Deodexed Rom
This build is based on the marshmallow stock G900PVPS3CPK1_G900PSPT3CPK1_SPR build.
This is a first release. Even though it has been tested, please report any issues.
Features:
- Rooted
- Busybox
- Hotspot enabled
- Knox Removed
- ItsOn Removed
- All toggles enabled including hotspot and flashlight
- Usb/battery popups removed
- Signature verification disabled
- .5 animation scales default
- Screen mirroring fix
- Usb debugging on by default
- Carrier label removed from statusbar
- Hidden menu hacked to allow use without prl. Prl write enabled, don't know if it still works on 6.0 though.
- Recovery & Download Mode added to stock reboot menu.
- private mode does not work (not really too interested in fixing it right now, the standard fix doesn't work)
- All apps updated, all stock apps included. Use debloat tool to remove Sprint bloat apps, even if they've taken updates. Only app I left behind is sprint zone because users are always asking for it.
Known Issues:
If you try to edit the toggles, flashlight will disappear.
There is nothing I can do about this right now.
To restore the stock toggles, wipe data on the Add Toggles app and reboot (I use Titanium backup).

Nice work!! Does the mini bootloader include modem too?
edit: already downloaded and check the file and the answer is yes.
Just to be clear, the mini bootloaders are for jumping back and forth between lollipop roms and marshmallow? Would this be flashed through Odin and then just boot into recovery to flash ROM of choice?

Has anyone else noticed HORRIBLE battery on pk1, vs say ok4 or pca?
Im on the stock pk1, not this version here. Just wondered if its just me, or if its everyone and maybe this is addressed in these roms posted here.
Thanks.
Thanks @tdunham for this rom even though you moved on from this phone. Just moved over from cm13 back to this rom and it's working great so far.

I don't see why not this is just a stock rooted rom with minor mods nothing that much changed. I personally don't really install viper but it should work if you were able to install it on other tw based roms
first, thank you @tdunham for making this. I had an issue using the 3.0.2-1 TWRP as it wouldn't allow SD card access, so I went back to 3.0.1-0 and it worked fine.
EDIT: i can't seem to get v4a to work. Any ideas?

Mine dropped from stock ok4 to pk1. Gonna flash this in the next day or so.
Forgive my ignorance. I've never run a debloat tool. I usually just remove what I don't use but guessing this way is cleaner. Should I boot up the rom and set it up first or run it directly after flashing the rom?

perhaps the bloatware is eating at it. also the battery is a mess after a new flash, needs few days to settle
Debloat , kill all the garabage and let it cycle the battery few times.
Ive tried both stock and debloated, still crappy batt.
Ill flash this n see if its just a quirk on my end or if just so happening that my battery is giving out.
I dont see an option to mount SD as internal storage, is that not available on this build?

Never use an aftermarket battery, they are really not worth it.
If getting an extended yield battery, only purchase the best name brands like zero lemon. I had a cheapy aftermarket standard battery and when I bought a genuine stock, there was a huge difference.

Unless something has changed, this has never been an option on stock Touchwiz.

Thanks for testing! Try the new Nougat build—I wasn't able to move apps onto the SD card (that is a LineageOS bug), but I was able to format it as internal storage.
I couldn't install the latest build 14.1 well just keeps bootlooping at the HTC screen.
Wipe
Install latest build
Install Gapps 7.1 (tried without installing this also) still no go ?

There appears to be an error in the build. I will upload a new build within a day.
Edit: New build has been uploaded! Please report if it works.
Never thought my Jewel would ever see Nougat (let alone Lollipop or Marshmallow). Just flashed and all is working well so far. Awesome work!
God tier work here, I'm blown away. I misplaced my Moto G 3rd gen somewhere in my apartment, so I've given up and dusted off my Evo. I was set to just use the Viper 4.1.1 that was on there, but some apps weren't installing so I came on ol' XDA. This is much more than I expected, thank you.
With that said, any tips on getting this to activate on Sprint / Ting? It was working fine on the old rom, but not kicking in here.
I know this isn't totally related to this ROM, but maybe it can be. I'm having issue with this (and most other ROMs I try) where the per button works physically, but only the buttons light up. I have to press the power button several times to get the screen to wake. This isn't consistent though. Seems worse if the screen has been off for a while. Does anyone know of a fix, and if so, can it be incorporated into this ROM? I know there have other threads about this but it seems like they have been dropped.

I believe that the service must be activated on a stock ROM before flashing a custom ROM. Then, the correct APN has to be set according to the carrier under Settings > More > Cellular networks > Access Point Names.

I've tried that in the past. Forgot about it this time around. Tried it again and it seems to be about the same as the actual power button for getting the screen to come on correctly.

The ROM is working fine for the most part. The battery is not great, but that may be due to the battery's age. Additionally, there is a bug with BoringSSL that sometimes prevents the Play Store or Gmail from working temporarily.

Trouble with WiFi
Did a Full factory reset, installed rom, gapps, and supersu from TWRP, factory wipe again from TWRP; now the OS is installed and running but after connecting to my home network, says no internet access although the netork is up and running normally, all other devices connected. Any thoughts or suggestions. I have a backup of my previous state, so I can revert, but would like to keep this on 7.1 for consistency between this and my primary device. The primary use for this device is media streaming.

I believe that the WiFi issue have been fixed in the latest build (20170522).
Thank you for this rom!
I had been using cyanogenmod 5.0 and dirtyunicorns 5.1 both were solid roms. Unfortunately the latest apps seem to run a bit slow on them. I thought it was the device but after installing this rom everything is snappy! It manages 1gig of ram better than any other rom and that 1.5ghz dualcore still runs strong. Snapchat is way more responsive on this rom, instagram and fb run without problems. GPS, 4g, sms, wifi, camera, sd storage, everything works! I've only noticed a few bugs. The wifi activity arrows don't show when something is downloading/uploading but wifi itself does work. Also, even tho I have working active cell service, it tries to activate itself again everytime I reboot and fails but calls-sms-data continue to work lol. The biggest bug is that auto-rotation stops working after 30-60 minutes and it stays stuck on portrait mode. Nothing but a full reboot will get it working again, a quick softboot won't fix it. I've tried changing the rotation settings and also added some lines to the build.prop but no solution thus far. I love this rom so much, if it's not fixed I might try some auto rotation apps. One last thing, it would be cool if the # in the status bar would go away after I close whatever app has root. The previous rom I had did that. Thank you so much to all the developers for bringing life to this phone!

Thanks for trying out the ROM! The WiFi activity arrows are intentionally disable on LineageOS. I do not currently have an active cell service on this device, so I am unable to fix the activation bug for now. Could you flash the patch below in recovery and test if autorotation is working properly? It should also enable the option to hide the Superuser icon under "Status bar" > "System icons".
