Hi Tincore,
awesome idea you had there, and I am willing to test your app.
Tomorrow evening I'll receive a Polar Loop.
Could you please add in the first post what version of Android one needs to have?
AND, if you need to be rooted for the app to be tested?
I have a GT-I9305 (Samsung galaxy S3 4g) with stock Samsung android 4.4.4
If the second answer is no, I am willing to get my older (though fully working) rooted Nexus One Android 2.3.7, hoping it will work
Best of luck.

No root on this one.
About the Polar loop. If it uses the standard BT characteristics it can show the step count. The code is there but I have not tested it.
About other features I would probably need to reverse protocol for integration.

Crashes continually
After last update the application continually crashes and restarts. This can even lead to phone reboot. The one thing that helped is to delete application (this caused my phone to reboot). Android 4.3, MIUI 5.
This app made me register this account and buy a MiBand! Thanks for you work.
The Google Fit integration is amazing enough - but I was wondering if some integration - data import was possible from food logging apps like Myfitnesspal or others on the same tune.
Again, great job, I've already installed this on my phone.
Hi @tincore, JMo from Play Store and email here.
I'm on Mi Band firmware version 1.0.9.55 and I'm not aware of any problems but I'm not using all the features of the app yet. Happy to test for you if you want to tell me what to look for. You're welcome to email too if you prefer.
Never mind I got an answer.
Anyone explain what this means?

So, as of kind Admin note on http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-gliderun-alpha-t3057985/page28#post61197566 I shall ask my questions according to Gliderun OPEN BETA _here_, in this thread (no matter the main thread is more active and I found much more solutions there), shan't I? Okay, my question is how the calorie expenditure calculation is done. According to my Tanita body composition scales, my BMR is about 1200-1250 calories, but Gliderun thinks differently and according to Gliderun, I burn ~1000 calories daily even being active. Discouraging. Demotivating.

Calories estimation is just that an estimation. Makes no sense counting them with to the unit exactitude. Having said that 200 calories is two bananas.
For the record I use VO2 based formulas.
Hi,
Thanks for all the good work! I just have a question. I see that my step count gets updated only if I go to sensor/wear menu, select the miband 1s and then select refresh.
I mean it does not get updated by itself when I open the app or on time intervals, but only manually. Also the step count on the dashboard is a little different than in the sensor/wear menu. Is it normal behaviour or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

It should update unless sensor tracking is disabled. In that case you would only get data if you synchronize.
It could also be that a band sensor is disabled and the one active is the one on the phone. You can see the active one on sensors screen.

I can't really tell if either of those apps does the same thing as Remote Tracker, but in searching for them I ran across Theft Aware.

RemoteTracker for Android is almost there!
Hello all,
I know I was out for a very long time. But now it's time to release the first version for Android. But, before I go to Google Play, I need to test it in several devices. So, I released the first release candidade version in http://remotetracker.sourceforge.net/RemoteTracker.apk.
There is also a PRO version, with more features, like capture all images from camera, take a picture from front camera when SEND button is pressed and more. You will can buy it from Play, but helping me with tests, translations or anything you will get it for free.
As I said before, RemoteTracker for Windows Mobile could be a success because the users, not me. And you can do it again for Android
There is a long way to go. I'm just starting the project.
All the Best!!!
That good news, I'm downloading and testing!

If I remember correctly volume adjustments are in the unofficial but far more complete users manual with is listed in the [INFO] Everything Umeox x201 (TrueSmart, AW-414/420, AX-3, XTouch, etc..) thread.
At this time, not rooting is a very bad idea. In case you missed it the reasons can be founf in the [PATCH] Root+Enhanced Security (Umeox x201, AW-414/420, TrueSmart, etc..) thread.
How to get Play Store is listed in the Common Issues and Fixes & MISC section of the [INFO] Everything Umeox x201 (TrueSmart, AW-414/420, AX-3, XTouch, etc..) thread.
Until the settings menu is fixed volume control plus is the best way to go.

Lokifish, I followed your advice and rooted my TS and surprisingly it was easy. I also downloaded the google App Store. My question is that the Omate Truesmart Companion app is gone and is not even in the ostore so I cannot use it. I already signed up with G+ community and signed up as tester and downloaded Master app. Can you please help me figure out how to get companion app back on?

Kurt Huwig, the creator of the app, told me it's being worked on. Part of the problem is the BT in the firmware, not the device HW, has issues that he's trying to get around. Otherwise is causes the BT to lockup and requires a full reboot to enable it again.
Once I can finish the fixes to the firmware and it's gets sent out as an OTA I can work with some fellow devs to see if we can fix the BT for a future OTA. This of course is after Kurt can double check the changes work with the companion app. After that I would expect to see a new version of the companion app to show up in the Ostore.

Okay so I downloaded the master app on my phone and the companion app on my Omate device. I turned on both Bluetooths and they both found each other. When I click the truesmart paired button on my galaxy s3 a message comes on my Omate stating " network access points service of SGH-T999 is unavailable". What am I doing wrong or what else should I be doing?
foody, it was just explained that the app was pulled to fix known issues. If I had one suggestion on what you could do, it would be to wait until the known bugs are fixed.

Hello!
I read today that Strava Running/Cycling app now supports Gear Fit, and today they have released an update that fixes some problems with Gear Fit.
Has anyone tried Strava and Gear Fit together? You need a premium subscription to get heart rate working, and I'm concidering a premium subscription if anyone can confirm that heart rate is recorded when using Strava.
Thank you for answers!

I think the app connects automatic if you check the option in app connection section. But you have to have a premium subscription to register the heart rate - as far as I have understood.
It works! Even with the free version.Nice!

Hope now for runtastic and others.

Indeed it works with free version of strava, without HR monitoring. You can start / stop new session from the fit, and see several details (speed, distance...)
Same question here : anyone knows whether HR monitoring works with the premium version?
also on gear 2?
Is this only possible with gear fit or also with Gear 2 (neo)?
I can't find any strava option in my gear manager for gear 2 neo.
It looks Strava is similar with Gear Fit Manager. Why do we need to bother one more app?

Just received response back from Strava Support that Strava not able to read HR data in GearFIT SDK at the moment , even on Strava Premium. Hope Samsung will open it up soon on the GearFIT SDK.
Below is the response I received:
"
Hello,
Sorry about that. Currently, the GearFIT SDK does not allow us to read HR data, but maybe it will in the future. Please accept my sincere apologies and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Cheers,

I work for Strava and was part of the Gear Fit & Gear2 implementation. In our next Play release the Fit support is a little cleaner, a couple bugs fixed, etc... We did the best we could in a limited amount of time. Anyhow, if there are any other questions or comments, I'm happy to answer the best I can.
With regards to the internal HR sensor, I'd suggest checking out this review http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2014/04/pinnacle-samsungs-activity.html
also...
Not quite advertised yet but the new Gear devices also support really real time segments. Right now the Apps & Apps+ Pebble do audio announcements at 0%, 50% & 100%. The Gear watches give you updates as soon as your device knows 0-100% w/ your time against your PR. We did this in Glass too. (Disclaimer: Starred segments & premium users only)
Thanks for the explanation.
Btw. have you asked Samsung about the accesibility of HR sensor data ?
It´s really weird if they allow it on Gear 2 for 3rd party apps, but not on Gear Fit .....
I'm using a gear fit with strava, it's great getting the real time segment performance.
Star the segments you're interested in for best results.
Took a bunch of time off my PRs as a result.

Yeah, I think in time access will come for the Fit. Gear2 just had a little head start in terms of dev from what I can tell.
Fit was clearly rushed out when it wasn't ready in order to get out with the Gear 2 and S5.
Installed Strava on my Samsung Device. It also shows up in the app-connection on my fit. But how to start a new session directly from my fit? Or do i have to carry my phone with me all the time while running and start the session from my phone?

That's true, we don't support HR values from the Gear 2 at the moment. When I wrote that our Gear2 app did, but by the time the app got out of QA into the store it was disabled*. SDK access wise to HR sensor though. Gear2 yes, Gear Fit no.
*would be easy to enable with a tiny bit of exploring.

That's OK mate, HR sensor on Gear 2 is a piece of crap anyway. The reason why I don't use Strava is because is doesn't support the kind of chest-strapped BT LE HRM I have (right now it supports only Orion or something like this). Until it does, I'll stick to MapMyRun or Runtastic.
Are there any apps for Gear Fit 2?

Ah, yes - this could be a location thing. It takes time for the apps to trickle out to the different markets and they just hit in the US this morning. Another variable is the type of phone you are connecting the Gear Fit2 to. When submitting the binary files for the watch faces, we select compatible devices (aka: select all). This is what makes it show up in Galaxy Apps on that particular device. Right now it lists 62 devices - when the Gear S2 lists 126. What type of phone are you connecting to?

Shouldn't be a problem... Your phone meets the requirements. Hopefully just taking a bit to hit the app store. Let me know if you don't see anything within 24 hours and I'll put in a ticket with Samsung to find out the issue.

Can you make a simple one, just like the stock one, but featuring MM/DD? Seems like the only ones that have a MM/DD are super flashy.
Thanks!

I'll put in a ticket to see why they are not showing up in your location and when they might be available! Might not hear back until Monday depending on Korea and if anyone is working in dev support this weekend over there.

Ever been annoyed that you can not take a screenshot of your swish payment or bank transaction?
This module tries to bypass the request for DRM on windows created by the selected applications.
This application is free to use, but we appreciate your kind donation to support our work by installing the DONATION package from Google Play Store.
Download the module from Google Play Store
Changelog
1.7 - Now also hooking Window.getAttribute() for applications that test FLAG_SECURE
1.6 - Added invert selection as a donation feature
1.5 - Initial official version
What's the difference with the Xposed module DisableFlagSecure?

I have not tested that module, but it seems similar. With Re-enable screenshot you can re-enable screenshot for selected apps and not only globally, don't know if that is the case in the other module.
Anyone know if this works with Chase?

Yes other module have no gui so it's only globally. I use it since day one and it still works after 2 years without an update. I try your module now.

Yes I noticed that already. Maybe a button to enable all apps in future?

Just added version 1.6 with "Invert Selection" as a donation feature.
I really like how this module is app specific. Thank you for working on this for us. My only suggestion is to add some unobtrusive horizontal graphics to the list of apps. On a large tablet, the distance from the enable button to the app name, and the uniform white space conspires against accurate selection. A minor detail, otherwise the app is perfect.
Im having an issue with another app that detects flag_secure status and just closes if it's not enabled. Is there anyway to bypass this detection on android?
The application is for accessing a database of practice test questions for medical students. They are trying to protect their intellectual rights, I get that. The preparation you get from them is leagues ahead of the competition. My colleagues and I all have our own subscriptions and like to share information over messaging about what questions we thought were particularly interesting and quiz each other. However, explanations are extremely nuanced and retyping full pages or drawing diagram's, while useful, only encumbers our discussion style and risks trascription errors. Being able to screenshot small tidbits is therefor paramount.
Much appreciated and much prefer this module to others that provide flag_secure disabling.

I've uploaded version 1.7 which fixes this. It was quite tricky, but it seem to work with your app now.
The app in question polled the LayoutParams.flags every second from a Thread to make sure the FLAG_SECURE was set.
Don't forget to donate or buy me a beer or two

Thank you Muken, I'll be happy to. Going to log on soon.
Just saw your PM, sorry for not getting back to you then.
@muken hi, the module allows you to take screenshots of secret chats on Telegram, but somehow he still discovers that there was a screenshot and is informed in the conversation. Could you take a look? Thanks for your work.

Thanks for your feedback, however Re-Enable Screenshot is intended to enable you to take a screenshot in apps that do not normally allow a screenshot to be taken. It is not intended for prevention of screenshot detection.
Could you add (Un)Select as well as Invert Selection?
Where are screenshots being saved to?
Screenshots work as intended by your rom or version of android. Could differ by build etc. Screenshots can be found wherever your phone normally stores them.
This one actually works. Awesome!
On Lineage OS v14.1 w/ systemless Xposed through Magisk.
