Does anyone know where to find a pen stylus for the tp2? or is the stylus compatible with another unit that may have pen stylus available?
Thanks.
I think we might have to wait a little bit for it to get developed but I really would want one too, they come in handy a lot of times.
Why dont you use the regular pen itself......?
I do that all the time.....used to do that on my old TYTN II and now on the TP2.....
I always use a click pen.....so when I need the stylus....I just the click the pen in and use it as the stylus....
Just a heads up....I have my screen protector on....so I dont have to worry about scratches....

When I had my Elfin, I got my pen from www.boxwave.com. So far they still don't have them available for the TP2, but I keep checking! =)

There's a few on there, ballpoint version included. Don't have one myself but they look pretty reasonable?

You're right - I just checked today and saw those for the EU version. Still nothing available for the TMOBUS version, though.
Alert! Note 3 NFC is on the Battery, make sure you use authentic OEM replacements, else you'll lose the NFC functionality.
We'll will you look at that. Right at the top of the label it says it. I had not noticed before that the cover didn't
Have it on the back. Good to know.
yeah, same here
I didn't noticed it until after I ordered extra spare batteries.
Good thing is I ordered the real stuff, not the aftermarket made in china ones, that Does NOT have the NFC
how about hyperion 6400 mah sold on amazon and ebay? this battery have nfc built-in?

not a fan of those THICK batteries, i like how the phone is thin and light weight.
the Thick batteries are great for those that wants long run time and /or doesn't mind the weight + thickness.
i rather carry spare batteries with me, and swap it when it runs out, mainly to keep compatibility with all the leather cases, belt clips, covers, etc...

I always get them from ebay, make sure you choose reputable sellers, the ones from Korea are the most Trusted.
look for authentic, genuine, and look for the packaging and labels, check the amount of sold, time and price.
if you see something that says OEM but only cost you $5.99 ... obviously fake when the phone is this new. you only see those prices after 2 or 3 years after the phone is released.

Do people even use NFC? What's it good for? Does anyone use Google Wallet or do any payment things with their phones?

It's not only used for payments.. as a matter of fact, I'd say the payment portion of the nfc ability is used the least. It's used to automate things such as pairing devices and trigger events.

Yep I use it. Use it with NFC tags for some actions, use it to connect my wifes phone and mine, used it to pair my Galaxy Gear,
NFC is always built into the battery. It has never been built directly into the phone.

That's an incorrect statement. The Note 2 was built into the back cover not the battery, just so you know.

That's surprising. I'm used to the S3 and S4 which had the NFC built in to the battery and I would have assumed Samsung would use the same method with all of their devices. So when I read this title, I'm like "duh", but now I understand why the OP made this topic.

And after looking at the OP's sig, That reminds me that the Note 1 had NFC on the back cover too. So I think that's what surprised him/her. I didn't use NFC at the time when I had the Note 1 and 2 but now I do. But if you don't mind alittle modding, I believe the "top" set of gold prongs are for external based NFC antennas.

Galaxy S2 as well
and Nexus S
and Galaxy Nexus
Notes 1 as well
that's just from the Samsung family.
There are more examples from Motorola / HTC

Nfc chip is in the battery on the galaxy nexus just so you know.
my wife and I bump photos via NFC all the time. i use an NFC tag to set my phone for car use. every once in a while i see and NFC poster. NFC would replace QR codes so no need to open the bar code scan app. sadly, because apple refuses to adopt NFC, the industry that serves the idevices won't utilize it more. but apple will develop similar if not copied tech, make it proprietary, charge too much, and it will be revolutionary.

I honestly haven't the foggiest what it's meant for either... I'm fairly sure I've never used it.
All I know is that it trips the hell out of my public transport card if I turn it on.
Various 3rd party batteries also have NFCs built-in.
No need to be a shill for OEM products.
Hey guys,
I'm looking to replace a few parts on my Samsung Galaxy S2.
The only parts that are damaged is the grill at the front on the top of screen and the ensuing edging plastic around the screen.
Any ideas what parts to buy? (I'm from England)

Hi!
Look on Ebay and Amazone. Don't forget to search in the different threads, the question already been asked! :good:
Service manuals might help you work out what you need as well, they've been posted here from time to time, if an XDA search doesn't dig them up here, a Google search will elsewhere.

Most after market batteries don't offer NFC compatibility but Laza delivers on that and its a 6400mah battery. They have batteries both OEM and extended batteries for the note 3 with NFC capabilities. I just decided to go with the the extended battery and it works great so far! Just search Laza Note 3 on amazon.
I would suggest purchasing the anker batteries off of amazon. They work just like OEM samsung batteries .. I have two of them

I was going to buy the stickers I saw to replace on my door, but this was about the same price from eBay & got rid of the ugly VZW logo on the back. So this was a no brainer

Thanks for the video. From what buyer on eBay were you able to buy it for $18? I searched and lowest I found was $25.

Good deal. Would you mind posting the name of the seller? This is the cheapest I've seen for an OEM NFC/QI back cover.
Thanks.
