i purchase this phone and it is working very fine but i want to upgrade to jaily Bean.
so please help me to upgrade it
i have some Question before upgrade it
1. this phone have no IMEI number !!! ha ha when i press *#06# it will not display any thing
2. but in this phone network is working so it is unlock??
if i am update it so it is working fine or not?

When i connect mobile with kies it will show
Latest Firmware Version : PDA:UH24/PHONE:FH02
Is it safe to Upgrade from Kies?

As I know, If the device is recognized by KIES it is an original version of the phone. but there are devices that somebody has flashed a ROM in to the device. In that case it will show the IMEI and Model number as the name that created by the ROM Devoloper. so remove the batery and try to locate the model no (IMAGE 01)
then download the Stock and Flash it via ODIN

i have two phones both are dead after flashing wrong recovery ...
1st is i9300 s3 clone china mtk6575_s01... build alps.gb.mp.v.2.17... it has 1 normal sim .. no gps...it's not emmc between ... it was dead but i tried flashing it with BP-I9300 firmware so its turned on but with white screen i think it's uboot mismatch between the two phones ... i searched everywhere without no luck to find the stock software for it this is the build prop..

2se phone is spreadtrum i think it's SC6820 brand is called HAPPLE ... model no is H3036 ... it's dead after flashing wrong recovery to grant root anyway i tried all the firmwares with the same name about 20 pac files with no luck only fdl1 and fdl2 work then error on debug tool
u can find pics of both phones in the attachment ...plzzz anyone help

To try some stuff, I downgraded from ARHD 4.2.2 I9300XXUFME7 to ARHD 4.1.2 9300XXEMG4.
Now I wanted to get back to ARHD 4.2.2 I9300XXUFME7 and my phone doesn't register to the mobile network (can't make any call, SMS or data... nothing).
I tried to solve by flashing original I9300XXUFME7 without any result...

I have an old EFS backup, will it be usefull to use ME7 ?
Looks like it is the same problem with MG4 ? Maybe the previous modem will help ?

- installed back ARHD V32 (4.2.2 I9300XXUFME7)
- backup up my EFS with PhilZ CWM
- clean install again of ARHD V32 (4.2.2 I9300XXUFME7)
= mobile network Ok !

Now I don't know if my EFS is V1 or if the ROM has updated it ?
I just compared files from my old EFS backup and a new fresh backup :
- differences
nv_data.bin
drm/playready/DxSecureDB
drm/playready/DxSecureDB_secondary
wifi/.mac.info -> uppercased in V2
nv_data.bin.md5
imei/mps_code.dat -> went from KOR to BTU
- new files :
carrier/HiddenMenu containing "OFF"
FactoryApp/batt_cable_count
FactoryApp/earjack_count
This sounds like same issue I am having -- not registered on network (AT&T). I flashed 4.2.2 leaked to try to address freezing, but previously had been on post-July stock build. So I need to flash the stock build, save EFS, then reflash 4.2.2, then restore saved EFS?? Is there a better way?
Flash a post July modem.

I've bought this device in Amazon about half a year ago. Got it rooted, with the sticker under the battery saying I9300, but it shows I747 when windows attempts to automatically install a driver.
If I want to install CM / custom rom, which version should I use? (see image)
Is it worth the risk? (I'm afraid the device will stop working)
Regardless, if I decide to install CM on the phone (either version), can I now create a Nandroid backup and restore later in case I screw the device?

Check in the i747 forum for a advice, it definitely isn't an i9300 so anything from here will hard brick it.
It is the AT&T version of the S3 not the international one, so when trying to install a custom ROM get a one appropriate for this device

I have called to get a code to unlock my phone but It doesn't work, I've also paid on a website to get a code but it's the same as the first one.
I still have my IMEI what's wrong ? I'm under Cyanogen and even when I was on 4.3 - I9300XXUGNA5 It didn't work too

Go back to the correct stock firmware for your country, factory reset then try again. If it's a valid code and your efs isn't damaged then it should work.

I'm so desesperate, I don't know what's wrong... All of this because of that stupid 4.3 and I forgot to save my efs folder before the update
and thing is I've tried to put the code more than 10 times, and why my phone is still not blocked ?
